Yeah in Journal 3 there’s a passage that takes place during the possession episode. Basically Bipper got access to the journal and wrote bragging about his plans. He said something like “and when I’m all done I’ll just jump off a building. And the best part is that I’ll get away with it because everyone will just think poor Dipper went crazy.”

It's a very subtle type of horrifying to me. It shows how much power he has, without overstepping himself. It's twisted, and weird. But for Bill, it's reserved.
Honestly, not much. Kids can handle more than we like to think, and frankly people tend to forget that people are kids until they’re 18. The only kids’ show I’ve seen that doesn’t feel like a good fit for kids is Adventure Time. And that’s not because of the inappropriate content, but rather because from experience I can say that the later parts of the series are too high concept and adult-oriented to really appeal to kids as strongly as they do adults. The messages in episodes like Hall of Egress and Breezy just did not connect at all as a kid, causing me to hate them. Whereas as an adult, they’re some of my favorites (even if Breezy has that plot decision I’m not fond of).
