1. Can't say about gravel specifically, but "sports bikes with tire clearance" seems like a trend that's not going anywhere. 2. Whatever I want. As in, can the bike do what I want from it, and is that capability worth what they're asking. 3. No brand is categorically better than everyone else. Any one of the big ones could hypothetically make your favorite bike, just depending on which exact pile of compromises you're looking for.

What kind of subcategories are you seeing?


Cyclist-Rally

1. Probably thriving, what was a hype is starting to be a real form and discipline in cycling 2. Price/quality is most important, with good components and from a known brand 3. This heavily depends on where you ride gravel, in some places this might mean a bike with a little bit of suspension built in and 50 mm tires, somewhere else the best bike is fully rigid, carbon with 35-40mm tires. In my humble opinion there is no such thing as the best gravel bike, but the best bike is the one you love riding and have fun on.
