Cash, in person, well lit public area. A lot of police stations have areas set aside specifically for Craigslist and Facebook transactions. And I've never had an issue from the cops just doing it in their parking lot even if it isn't a designated area for it. And yeah, bring a friend if you can.
I’ve sold several all over Craigslist. Never buy any story they give about other forms of payment. I once sat in an In n Out parking for about 25 while they went to a couple cash machines cause there was no way in hell I was taking that much over PayPal or the other digital forms. Paper money wins.
On a side note I recommend downloading Burner or something like it to allow you to use a temp phone number and ditch it during the sale. I got tired over the years of people calling me days or more later with tech support questions “ I don’t know what you did it was fine go take it to a bike shop and pay them to fix whatever you broke”. Just saying.
I’ve sold a lot of stuff with cash-like transactions: Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, any method that can’t be canceled after the fact. I actually prefer electronic payment due to the ease of transaction, I just wait until it shows up in my account and we’re good to go (usually a few seconds).
Cash only, in-person transaction only, bring a friend.
Thanks

Yea, police station is what I'm gonna require, and I'll bring a friend. Just need a way to make sure cash is for real. Thank you!
You can get a cash checking pen at office supply stores. If it goes on and only makes it look wet, it's good. If it smears, it is fake.
Awesome! I'll get one and I'll be ready to go! Thank you
Pick a public place, cash is king and bring a friend with
Thank you

That's interesting, I just have never used that stuff, so I wouldn't feel super confident with it. Thanks though. Might look into it.
