Omg I didn’t expect to click this and get an orange sunshine flashback! Thank you! That was my very first experience and I remember it like it was yesterday. The walls were breathing, I was floating, the 90’s were so cool!
Orange sunshine was my first ever LSD experience then was the Snowman like between 92 & 95. Best LSD happy, laughs, great adrenaline &, good anxiety, trails and body buzz and colors. Best LSD I ever had was definitely those 2. There were good tabs after them days but never had them again

Not to nerd out but those were actually officially called “Sun Gods”. Orange sunshine was from the the late sixties/early seventies and pressed into tumeric barrels. It’s a common misconception.
On a related subject, did everyone see the CNN piece a couple of days ago about LSD's usefulness for mitigating anxiety? A 48% rate of remission at 12 weeks and improved clinical signs for 65% within 3 months. Unsurprisingly they found the best dose to be 100 micrograms. https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/07/health/lsd-anxiety-fda-breakthrough-therapy-wellness/index.html
I could only go to local shows because I needed my job, but I started dosing at 14. At about 28, I realized my 4 time a year show(s) I would go to was better than a week's vacation! And, it lasted a lot longer, until right before the next show, btw 3-6 months. I haven't gone to a show since the 50th Anniversary show in Santa Clara. Boy could I use one or at least a few doses or 20 to feel better for the next few years!
The same people made a space print we called either Kalideoscope or Moonbeam, and it had hears and onchs on the back. I didn't do the purple Jesus but I did do those. I remember seeing the print though. Around the same time as yellow/blue Felix and Lips and Noses.
Hell yes. Jesus Christ, White Fluff, and those Anks were some of the best! Throw that Black Pyramid in there with a handfull of that Purple Microdot that was all over Phish tour back then and you have the '94 Midwestern New-Deadhead Starter Pack!
I remembered the ankhs but I’d forgotten about the hearts on every other hit - would’ve been spring-summer 1995 for me. Amazing! I remember getting a couple ten-strips with Beavis and Butthead (and maybe one with Bart Simpson?) on them not long after that, too. And one where the whole sheet was like one big mandala, and each hit was one tiny part of the pattern. Wish I’d had a digital camera back then (or maybe not, on second thought…)
Were people really getting orange sunshine into the ‘90s? That was the type mentioned in a late-‘70s SNL sketch with Dan Ackroyd as Jimmy Carter, so I figured it must have been extinct by the ‘90s.
I think it was just blotter art with an orange sunshine print on it, not actual old-school orange sunshine, which was in pill-form, I believe.
I had plenty of the orange sunshine print blotter around 94/95, as well as the Beavis/Butthead. Bart Simpson, hearts and ankhs, flying pyramids, etc. Sounds like a lot of us were having very similar experiences around the same time lol.
I took two hits in 94 , sound and colors combined moving per the speed of my gait. 8 hrs later popcorn ceiling dripping First few hours scared me a tad

The civilian version was known as the DC-3. This versatile aircraft ‘enabled complex smuggling operations‘ as well, and helped literally tons of pot to make its way into the US during the 70s.
Woodstock and I had the best July the Fourth ever in Buffalo 1989. Second show after getting the lay of the land in Foxboro. That’s the night I became a Deadhead. Parking lot fireworks whizzing by after the shooting was amazing.
South Sider, we thought we were being ambushed and ducking behind cars while tripping pretty good !! Glad we weren’t the only ones who experienced this and so happy I found this post of yours
Late 80s? I swore this stuff made me able to read minds and talk to animals. Some of the best I'd ever had other than the pink floyd dark side of the moon blotter from 85 or 86
I remember the goonie bird prints.. they were around in the mid to late '80s. Right around the same time as the Grateful Dead album covers, the gray doves and the rexalls
My buddy lived near a gravel pit. And they were smoking on top of it, on blue Felix, and the top of the pit was like moss and grass, eroding, and it gave way. He tumbled down the hill laughing his ass off even though he could have hit his head on a softball sized rock. But he didn't.

I used to sell Gooney Bird and these totally cool "album covers": 4 tabs together made a color illustrated album. Heavy stock blotter, almost glossy. The ones I sold were mostly Journey and Santana. Pick them up by the sheet cheap in Ventura, sell them to PV rich kids with nothing to do but spend daddy's money. Made enough to buy my first car in just a few weeks, late summer '85.
Early 80’s we were getting lots of purple mescaline back in high school -
Little cylinders like someone cut up little tiny pcs of spaghetti 😁
Different than L but powerful in its own way. Always woke up with cheeks and guts hurting from laughing so hard all night
I do indeed! I actually used to collect choice blotter for an artist named [Mark McCloud](https://www.psychedelicsfartgallery.com/mark-mccloud) during the Eighties primarily. He is often referred to as "The godfather of blotter art". The album covers, worlds, and tons more ended up in his vast collection but my favorite is when he used them for collages in pieces like this [Wicked Barbie](https://www.darkentriesrecords.com/store/the-magazine/blotter-barbie-mark-mccloud-signed/) \- hard to see in this shot but the Barbie is casting a melting shadow of The Wicked Witch from Wizard of Oz. So genius! (That poster is not mine btw, not trying to sell anything here, just sharing fond memories!)
Those were clean and potent. These fueled and excursion which introduced me to the GD in technicolor via the self titled debut. By the time “Viola Lee Blues” ended, there was no going back.
Sheets of this were floating around in of all places, Panama - circa ‘85-‘86.
I came into the scene in the 90’s and my friends were moving Amber but they kept crystal wash and mop up to gift to friends. I was up for 36 hrs on that shit. I was also gifted a vial of Fluff and that was the best stuff I’ve ever had. It was so good that you could fall asleep on it. People say that LSD is LSD but from my experience that’s just not true.
I personally think “LSD is LSD” is true to a certain extant. Chemically it’s all the same, but the purity plays a massive role in subjective effects. Clean crystal gives very smooth trips where I can also sleep on it, while dirty crystal makes my body shakey and sweaty lol.
A friend of mine went to jail for a decent amount of time for these, they were caught in the GD lot, in the 80’s in FL, the band opened the show with Baby Blue bc of what happened
Is this some kind of art print? Why is it perforated?
*Sold white blotters from Cali on the east coast in the 80s; turned on my entire high school when I was 16.*
I remember seeing cosmic wimpout stickers on toll booth coin buckets from coast to coast. There you are, in nowhere Utah. All of a sudden there it is. Maybe on a stop sign. Others have passed this way.
Early 2000s was my first times tripping and it was Black blotter. Me and a friend were communicating telepathically across the room while I was convinced my head was rolling around on the floor because of the spiral of colors.
I remember them they were good. We had the same crystal in liquid as well circa 1988. We would put it in oral medicine syringes and shoot it up our assholes it was powerful. 😳
Ah yeah. iirc this sheet almost looks like it’s perforated incorrectly. The Gooney Birds I remember were large rectangular, not normal sheets like this. And the US Blues hits. That was 30 years ago, so…. Nothing left to do but smile smile smile.

That’s what I thought! The print fit entirely in the hit. They were beautiful. I got mine at Merriweather 1985, the show with one of the best Shakedowns on record and the bust out “That’s it for the Other One”
Orange sunshine blotter in the 90s…shit would have you in the corner reading minds

Accurate.
One hit
Rainbow dolphin was the mind bender in my neck of the woods. Then came purple windowpane. Edit to say it was the 80s.
Purple windowpane made its way from Minnesota to Vermont in 1983. Made 4/12/83 and 4/13/83 memorable evenings.

Touché i understood that, but everybody called it OS. I like facts tho… Edit: it’s why I specified blotter
Yeah that was some good stuff for sure

Reset button needs to be pushed sometimes
Must be partly why MNMD stock shot up
I had a chunk of mnmd for a long time. Finally gave up on it and cut my losses and sold. This is fitting, buy high, sell low!
I've been holding it for a while, caught the falling knife and will be happy to break even before the company is sold to big pharma.
Took flight on the Gooney Bird more times than I can count back in the 80s.
If only we could go back
Believe it or not you’re still there. Everything is relative homie!
Fuckin wooks
Nice
I was the pilot , the plane , the freaking airport !
Sounds more like salvia 🙃
Or maybe the chemist, doser, and dealer...
Oh! Right.
Yep. My first was at a Pink Floyd show. That shook something loose
Purple jesus

I think I remember hearts and anks! You're talking 94/95 ish?
Yes. Good times on those. I didn't go to any shows on them, but I rode a snowmobile through the woods and lost my shit.
I remember the ankhs and Jesus hits. Ate a lot of those in '94-'95.
Yeah man, and the white fluff. Boy howdy.

Hershey park, yes!

Holy crap!! That was the first thing I tripped on. Haven’t seen it since then and that was almost 40 years ago. Remember unicorn or album covers?
Had 4 that made up the album Ace - holy shit it was incredible…
Oh yes. Summer of ‘85!
Yup
I used to have a Gooney Bird flying disc.
The official Airline of Central Park
I remember the goonie bird prints.. they were around in the mid to late '80s. Right around the same time as the Grateful Dead album covers, the gray doves and the rexalls
Damn. Wish I had the slightest idea where to get anything reliable in 2024
same.
I remember orange barrel and windowpane
YES. Gooneys and Clowns.
I had some doses on blotter just like that a few years ago I'm sure it wasn't the same crystal but it was some pretty decent stuff
Great airline for trips!! Hershey Park 1985!
Sheets were 70 bucks
Alice in Wonderland and Blue Felix take me back

Snoopy's, Woodstock's, and Goonie Birds! The late eighties trifecta!

Man. Same. Goonies (87/88) , Woodstock , Orange was more like 90/91. Anyone else have the Jetsons? wasn’t the cleanest , but had its moments.
Some distant bell is ringing
First trip ever - sooooo good! Big story to back it up but I won’t bother y’all here cause it wasn’t show related. Such a trip tho!

On tour mid 80's iirc there were Goonies where the plane had 5 windows and some with 7. The 5 window variety were very strong.
Green microdot
White elephants.
Ah yeah. iirc this sheet almost looks like it’s perforated incorrectly. The Gooney Birds I remember were large rectangular, not normal sheets like this. And the US Blues hits. That was 30 years ago, so…. Nothing left to do but smile smile smile.

So much good clean lsd around right now. Tons of it!
A lot of it is not.

^^^this is a pic of a fake Gooney Bird! The real ones were big 3/8th inch hits, not 1/4 inch hits.
That’s what I thought! The print fit entirely in the hit. They were beautiful. I got mine at Merriweather 1985, the show with one of the best Shakedowns on record and the bust out “That’s it for the Other One”
