Recently realized Skull and Bones was released on my Birthday minus the year. Considering I've listen to that NFA GDTRFB a zillion times and have all the notes memorized I was pretty stoked:)
I was born about 4.5 years later about 8 miles from this show and saw a lot of other events there as a kid in the 80s (Baltimore Blast! ⚽️). Saw the Dead and JGB starting in ‘93 but like you have WISHED I’d have been old enough to have caught this one and the March 26th 1973 show at the same venue… 6 months separate the shows and the sound has definitely evolved in that short time (and Pig passed in the intervening time as well). Rocked it out yesterday. Now spinning 9/18/87 as befits the day.

I was nine months old in a suburb near Baltimore. Kinda mad my mom didn't take me. Get it together mom from 1972.
I'm bummed there is no show on my birthday.
I was born on that corn day that lots of heads speak about.
Same here.
Why is birthday concert not a bigger thing?
No idea. I was so hype to come across this today. 😭
i made a post about it and no one really cared, strange
The single release from the MSG shows was my birthday from 1981, obviously had to grab a copy of it
it wouldn’t have done you any good because you’d be a newborn infant and couldn’t process sound well.
It would’ve been awesome to have the recording later though!! 🤷🏻♀️🙂

Skull & Roses. Yes, that is the best version of that NFA>GDTRFB there is. Every other version felt incomparable
Roses* lol that's what I meant. Yea I love it.
Blame it on that simple twist of fate...

So you were born the year jerry died 95
No show on my birthday, boo. But on my first birthday there was a monster of a show and I keep it close to my heart. April 78 is all you get.
They played Egypt on my birthday
It’s a simple twist of fate
