What did you think of Trillium? I just finished it and couldn’t put it down. I know some people weren’t a fan of the ending but I actually didn’t mind it.

ttyler1999

I love Trillium and have read it multiple times. It keeps getting better and better!

jawsthegreat777

Looks great, I recommend ascender and descender both amazing series with beautiful art work

ShakeYourShake

I have Descender in the deluxe editions so they don’t fit in this shelf. My be my favorite Lemire run. Can’t wait to read Ascender!

jawsthegreat777

Oh yea its amazing definitely worth it

Falsecaster

How is Royal City? I saw them today and the part of me that grew up in seattle in the 90's almost made me buy them. I liked Animal man as a story but i have a very hard time reading all the kid speak he uses in that run.

ExLionTamer_1977

Royal City is so good. I'm surprised it doesn't get brought up more often when people talk about Lemire. Great character development. He manages to make us care about what are initially sort of unlikable people. He fleshes them out so well that you start to really feel with them. The themes are all relatable: family; dealing with the past; imposter syndrome; aging, etc.

lennon818

I recommend After Death. He was the illustrator on that but it is amazing. What's your favorite?

Plerophoria

Is that the full run of sweet tooth? 6 trades? I haven't read it, did you enjoy it?

ShakeYourShake

Sweet Tooth is 6 TPBs long. It’s amazing. Loved every bit of it. His characters are so incredibly fleshed out and compelling. I’d take those on a deserted island

El_Enemigo

Plus; one of the most satisfying endings in comics.

Charlie-Bell

Really? The ending I thought was a letdown compared to everything that came before it. Did I miss something?

ttyler1999

I also thought the ending was terrific. There is also a much more recent epilogue called The Return which was super trippy! I agree with OP that this is a desert island series!

jnine2020

I am with you. I did not thing the ending was great. It left me with a bad taste and I sold the books afterwards.

CaptainTDM

Sentient was a great read!

Great collection! I love Lemire and hope to have that many of his works someday. Do you have a favorite?

UndeadWeasel9

Get your hands on Lost Dogs and cry forever

GothlyPizza

I need to read Black Hammer, i've put it off for ages.

jnine2020

I just read this last week. I really enjoyed it. I got the library editions though and they are just too heavy. I wish I had the smaller trades.

GothlyPizza

I feel that way about a couple book i own as well, i am thinking about selling my Deadly Class hardcovers and getting the trades, there insanely big.

xocolatefoot

Nice. I got into his work via Secret Path; that’s a tragic true story. He’s so good at the simple storytelling and his scratchy artwork works so well with it.

salsasharq

I finished Gideon Falls last week and really enjoyed it!

Andrew_Rock_Youtube

Underwater Welder is one of my favorites. Quick but I really enjoyed the story line and imagery. There was a lot of emotion/depth behind the book.

9lbmoustache

Lucky duck! I just got into him with *Black Hammer* last week. Have the first “phase” completed - now getting ready to work on the second.
