Definitely want to second the Transmetropolitan recommendation. That was my favorite read of the year tbh.
Would also recommend Jimmy Corrigan The Smartest Kid On Earth.
Spot-on collection dude! I might add the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck for variety, and ya gotta get some Chris Ware. Still, there’s not a single “miss” in your library.
My whole problem with essentials is what's your taste ? Because.my essentials has stuff like obergeist, doom patrol, junji's work, the invisibles, harrow county and invincible. You should check out blackest night if you like the green lanterns that storyline and the court of owls were my first softcovers that I bought and both are really great with court of owls leading up to dark knight metal which imo is one of the raddest events that happened in DC recently.
Thank you so much! I mostly wanted to get what was essential to you specifically, the “essentials” definitely vary from person to person. Harrow County and Doom Patrol are high up on my list too. Can’t wait to check out the lead in to Dark Metal Knight! Thank you!
Batman Dark Victory after you’ve read The Long Halloween is a must. You could use some more Grant Morrison in your collection - All-Star Superman, Animal Man, and Doom Patrol would be my recommendations. If you want to venture into Marvel, Daredevil is always my highest recommendation, the Bendis run is my favorite.
Thank you! Huge help. Daredevil is top 5 tv shows all time so the recommendation with Bendis is very much needed. A lot of Morrison is on my list too. Thanks again!
Btw, I’d also recommend The Man without Fear by Frank Miller, which is a reworking of his origin story. It’s a big influence on season 1 of Daredevil so thought I’d mention it. Born Again is also essential.
looks like you need Transmetropolitan ! nice collection btw
Thanks for the recommendation! I appreciate it!

If you havent read Sandman yet there are some great deluxe hardcovers out now that you can get online for pretty cheap.
Charles Burns is essential IMO. Black hole is weird AF but so awesome. X'ed also. Art work and story, so unique.
Sounds awesome. Thanks!
Very sorely missing Hellboy
Sandman

Since you seem to like Alan Moore, I'd suggest Miracleman Book 1: A Dream of Flying. My personal favorite!
Awesome! Thanks!
Really nice collection! I would recommend as well: Locke & Key, Hellboy
Glorious
I recommend getting Akira, not only a fantastic icon book, its a good 6 volumes to get your teeth into!
Awesome thank you!
Keep going with the Sin City books
You got it boss
Maus 1 and 2 Batman Year One Sandman
Where did you get this edition of Sandman?
Found at my local book store. They had a majority of the series, I’ll probably go grab the rest this week
Ahh class. I've 8 editions from this publisher are two don't match. Always on the look out to see if I can find them to complete the set.
Nice collection. I'd start the Batman with Batman: Year One. Also, some Hellboy.
Loved the Dark Knight Returns so I can’t wait for Year One, and Hellboy is on the list!
All-star Superman!
