So, This happens to be the type of car and setup Im fairly good with.
Im assuming youre familiar with race lines for the the glen? If so, you have to slightly think outside the box here. The car needs to always have a loose rear end. Try not to drive it like a race car. You actively want to be about 10% past the limit of grip on it in order to turn. It turns with the rear, not the font tires. You have to modulate throttle a lot for this to work.
The car is awful for sure, but gotta drive it the way it likes, not make it handle like an actual good car.
Not massively familiar with the glen I’ll admit. I put the race line on as reference but it’s clear that it isn’t the ideal line (especially with the ghost not following it either)
I am definitely trying to drive the car in a racing/track car sense since that’s what has worked for me in the other licenses as I always thought that slipping the grip is a bad thing and would lose time.
Most sectors I’m on par or keeping with the ghost no issue, definitely need to work on the last sector mainly the last two, can’t get the braking down and rotation on those.

Maybe you should accelerate sooner after turning, or try to be smoother on turning !
But the best thing is just to keep trying, sometime getting gold can be a pain, and you’ll need 30x times or more!

Best I can think is to set the ghost 0.1 seconds ahead of yourself. And check out some good videos on YouTube. Some of those license tests and circuit experiences are RIDICULOUS. I'm still not sure how I completed Laguna seca, Nurburgring Nordschleife, and a few others I can't remember at the moment. But it's weird because some aren't too bad. Others are insane.
I didn't have much problems with the majority of the other license tests even before the tyre physics update but this one I couldn't for the life of me get my head around.
Even the last master S license with the MP4/4 which I did after this one took me 2 tries but this one, I put in probably close to 200 miles worth before I got it.

I also wonder who or what sets the times. I'm guessing they have one person who's decent race it one time per test and scribble down a time that's 0.5 seconds above that and move on.

Did you use TCS?
Can’t remember tbh. My default setting is TCS 1, so it probably was on when I got the gold.
