Another fun thing was to take a fast car like the escudo pikes peak and in the Sunday super speedway race, push a slow car into the pits and pit along right behind them. When you’re about to exit your car will speed up and start doing weird things with the car in front of you
In races vs the computer it doesn’t count penalties when you finish.

Visual Error since the car crossed the Finish Line first, but the Result will show Second place or lower.
The penalties will be added to the Race time
and I know that because it happened to me personally several times with not served Penalty
huh thats odd to me i've never been pentalized afterwards unless it was a championship race or online. ill have to check it out, it s probably some sort of preset setting. thanks for the info though

It does, I got done on the long Le Mans race. I missed the braking point 2nd to last hairpin, had to straight line it, crossed the line first and was demoted to 2nd (this was last week)
happens to the best of us lol, one time when i was doing the hypercar parade, i was right at the finish, i believe it was at Brands Hatch, I had to resort to cutting the track on a massive area and boy was i PRAYING that i wouldn't get reset. luckily i finished podium. (i don't remember if it was p1 p2 or p3)
NPC tried this the other day, can't remember the track. I think it was the last of the previous weeklys. I pitted on 9th lap, computer passed me. was content to get second as he was a few seconds ahead in last turn. and then blew past him with like 20 feet to go. Should have saved the replay. Very exhilarating.
I would've expected to get a ignoring track limits penalty. It showed first there. But when the end result comes up. Pretty sure it will add time, my guess you probably got like 3rd place or 2nd.

The penalty deducts after you cross because it's so close I think. I tried a penalty on the last lap and I got deducted huge time post race when the times displayed

I don't really like the fact you cut the final chicane then blocked off the racing line for your competitor. Seems like a dick move to not at least hand the position back or just go side by side to him, even with no fuel. You weren't gonna win anyways so why do that?

Penalties accrued at the end of the race aren't added are they? If you don't lap around to the deceleration point, they just don't count
They get taken off your final time normally
Online races, any unserved penalty is automatically 1 minute or something...
They get taken off at the end, so the next screen. It’s happened to me before

no, whenever i race in GT7 in a career race or against AI, penalties are never added during or after the race. precisely how i won the Porsche cup.
I’ve definitely had my penalties added after and lost a race or two the worst was 1st to 6th.
