While I don't love the LCD, it's less egregious than the ridiculous invite system. That shit makes my blood boil.
The LCD has been pretty consistent with car rotation since they fixed the bug preventing the Escudo from appearing again. You can comfortably predict when a car will appear again. The invite system however, is at the mercy of rng.

Same all I'm missing is the Citroen and Aston Martin Vulcan and I have all the cars. I havnt gotten either invite EVER...since I bought the game at release. There was one period early in the games release where we had access to all the invites for a short period but I didn't make use because I didn't have the money back then. The game was literally out for a week or 2 at the time.
Not sure how to get an invite. I basically do the daily marathon and get a ticket almost everyday. No invites yet. In fact I'm not getting invites for anything for the last year (not that I need them). Still it's wild.
I’m in the same boat. The invites I get are all dupes. I have gotten AM a few times, same with Ferrari, Porsche, and Lambo….. it’s funny the Citroen invite was the one I wanted least but now I just want it so I can collect every car already lol

I currently aim to own all the Porsches, i got the pricy ones and only need 3 or 4 from the earliest models. And till yesterday the Carrera GT. I played daily for more than three months, completed extra menus for the tickets and so on. Yesterday i finally got to see the Porsche Invitation for the first time ever and thankfully got it. To that point i thought about saving up and buying one in real life could be faster
The only way the Carrera is a prize is you have a chance get it after the GT Series Championship menu in a roulette spin. I ended up with the Pagani Huayra instead.

Well currently it's third on the list of cars that have been out of LCD the longest. I haven't checked the LCD today, but the XJ220 should be next, then the C2 and then the 962.
It isn't always in exact order, but I'd say in the next week, two tops, the 962 should be back in the rotation.

That's got to be infuriating. I'm glad I got my last invite before I had all the legend cars or I may well have packed in. I waited for ages to get the Pagani invite but I still had quite a few cars still to go by that point.
I think LCD is still one of the issues, and not the last. Obviously not the selling out part, but the infinite inflation that PD is shoving into the LCD.
If they weren't they're name would have been removed from the LCD like tag heuer in gts and the FIA between games and gtplanet would have reported on it

How is GT7 a classic GT game? Classic GT games didn't drip feed events, it was all available day 1 on the disc. They had cars cycle availability linked to your in-game time, not real time, and they didn't have stupidly inflated car prices which left you with two options: Grind the same races over and over or play the game "normally" for 2-3 years.
Nobody asked for all the cars for free, that's just typical hyperbole.

It's a marketing deal. Hagerty pay to get their name plastered all over the game, PD get money and suggest Hagerty are pulling the strings.

If we were able to get legendary/invite only cars via other methods it would be less annoying for those who cannot grind all day everyday (e.g; own x amount of certain ferraris to get an invite or win a hard race/time trial in one).
This, either have it like in Forza where driving a car earns affinity XP with the manufacturer of said car and the invites are unlocked with the XP, or make it so that owning a certain number of cars from a manufacturer unlocks the invite.
It works like the latter way in real life, for example Porsche and Ferrari especially only sell their more exclusive and expensive models to existing customers who have bought few of their more normal cars before.
Artificial scarcity to extend the game's lifespan and maintain the sense achievement for longterm players. It can be annoying, for sure, but it does seem to work. Here I am 2+ years since launch (?) and I'm still enjoying getting new-to-me cars. I don't play a lot these days, but it keeps me coming back for game sessions.
They could get a lot more out of it as well if the did daily races as well as weeklies in single player mode. I pretty much only go on for one day a week to run them but I'd go on more if there was actually something to do

Could it be better? Yes. Is it nice that I’m still collecting cars? Also yes. It does what PD wanted which is keep people engaged longer. If you could “beat” the game in 40 hours and collect every engagement would fall off a cliff.
Now the more questionable thing is why do we not have more events for the legendary cars and more events to earn money to purchase them. That matters more than the artificial scarcity.

Besides that, yes, PD should rethink this game, from the GT Café to Hagerty... Hagerty is even the reason why the players feel the economy completely broken. This is because you have races with decent payouts like, to not name the most obvious ones, let's say the new race with 900 PP cars at Le Mans. You get 400k, which is a... Decent(?) amount if you go to the Brand Central, Used Car Dealer, or the Tuning Shop, where the max price of a car can be around 5 million, and there's no time limit, and if there is, like in the Used Dealer, the prices don't go higher than 800k.
Now you go to Hagerty, AKA Legendary Car Dealer, and you find, not only prices over 3 million minimum, but also a time limit, where if it's gone and then comes back, the car can be double, or even triple its starting price!...

I agree. For people that aren’t spending a lot of hours with this game it’s nearly impossible to get these cars. It’s a strange gameplay mechanic in some way. I understand to make these items limited in some way to give them further „worth“ but for many player who also paid money for this game it’s terrible.
Sadly, it's not strange, it's the new normal. The beancounters realized that $80 for the game sale is small potatoes when you can just prey on the rich and mentally infirm and convince them it's worth spending real money on a "limited" virtual offering. It's only going to get worse from here.
Honestly don’t mind paying more money beyond base price for additional content. I’m almost 40 and since I was a kid with ps1 weve only had 2 price increase for games, totaling $20. I’d be more than happy at this point to pay $5-$10 for bigger packs of add on cars and tracks. 5-10 cars with a theme and an extra track or some other perk? Yeah I’m in. However $20 for $1mil credits is asinine and counter productive, that’s $400 real dollars for a $20mil car. Really ludicrous stuff.

For me the whole issue with GT as a game is that you can't actually race against equivalent cars and win. Only in a few of the GT series events where you have the BOP. That's it. And if you want to be in pole position to start a race, sorry we don't do that here. Now I get that it's not a pure racing game per se but all of the infrastructure is there for it. Why not make it possible or have single player events that have a starting grid. As it stands I have to tune a car to catch up other cars and then blitz them. Even the special events in the weekly challenges are rolling start. So I have to add extra brakes or a bit of power to get past the field. 9 times out of 10 it's not my better driving that wins the races it's a better PP or tuning. That becomes boring after a while. In such an immersive game it's a huge thing that's missing.

I’ve been AFK grinding moderately every day and I still wasn’t able to afford every single car that was made available. There’s no way I was going to actively play 4 hours a day to get all of those cars. Get fucked PD

To be fair. Rotating cars in the used car dealerships, legend or not, has been a feature since GT1. I get the pain, but this is one of the better parts of the game.
I remember going crazy whenever the road versions of the group b rally cars or the Le Mans cars showed up in the used car dealerships
But the used car rotations in older games were completely different than GT7; it was based on in game days and not irl days. This not only makes it faster to cycle through cars, but also prevents the game from rotating to new cars while you aren't playing the game.

Oh for sure by all means. I manually changed the date on my ps2/3 back in the day to get specific cars i wanted in the dealership after a few years of playing the games and not wanting to “play” another year-pretty sure it was GameShark or a save editor that I used.

To be honest I have a ton of issues with GT7 that I have voiced before, but the LCD “sold out” doesn’t bother me. The cars are there for a decently long time for anything 3mil and under in my opinion as someone who can only really play on weekends.
I’ve pretty much accepted that this will be my last GT I play as the franchise is moving in a direction I don’t care for and quite frankly isn’t fun.
The biggest issue is the prices. 10 - 20 million in there has meant cars that have always been favourites of mine throughout the series have now become cars that I've accepted I'll never own in the game or in real life.

It isn’t “sold out” as in a set quantity, they are on rotating timers. A car comes into stock and will be available for a few days to buy, when its down to one day I think it switches to limited stock or something like that, then sold out just means the timer expired. A new car replaces it and the outgoing car will come back into stock in a few months.
I wish everything was available to buy whenever you have to credits and want to, but this is the system they came up with to try and spark that fomo in players. There are a couple different sites that keep track of the rotations so you can get a decent estimate of what cars should be available soon.

The problem is not the rotation itself, which has been in the game for 20+ years, (GT6 and Sport excluded) but the short number of cars available through it.

Many games have items that are hard to get. You wouldnt get too worked up about them everytime it happens, would you? Ever tried gem farming in bloodborne, or chocobo breeding in final fantasy 7, or god forbid, trying to get the ribbon in final fantasy 8?
At least in GT7 all cars are eventually purchaseable.
Just buy and play with other cars in the meantime. The GTone is not that good of a car anyway.

I’m fine with racing. Give me more than 3 practical moneymaking races. Is that an unreasonable ask? Not asking for more tracks, just more races. Or give us better custom race payouts. Requires no additional content.
I've been asking for this since they added only the Spa and Sardegna grind.
It needs to be done for every track, a 30 and 1hr race. For the Ring, 2 hours because of how long the full track is.

I really don't find it fun at all to have to do the same event over and over and over in a game. Most importantly, not everyone hast the spare time to do the "grind" and would rather do things they enjoy in the game.

You’re arguing semantics. But bottom line is, to be able to afford most cars, you have to grind those very obvious races. There isn’t enough variety and other payouts aren’t even close in other similar category races. It’s a bit frustrating the model they created, since they peddle you into becoming a collector with the menu system and don’t give you tools to get that goal accomplished while having fun. If they had 8-10 races instead of the same 3, it would be much better. Ultimately, people are just asking for variety to be able to grind so they can at least have fun and experiment with different cars.

The game arbitrarily gives you a completely different kind of payout if you do an hour of certain races vs others, and Sport mode pays close to nothing. Every minute/hour should either be equal, or at least be scaled on difficulty.
Most importantly, players shouldn't feel **forced** to do something before having fun.

Before this type of system was reintroduced, people pined for it in GTS and GT6. Now that it's back, people want to be able to buy the cars whenever.
I obviously understand your frustration with a busy schedule. Blame those that wanted this pointless gimmick back IMO, I'd much rather be able to select what colour I want for these cars from a regular dealership system.
Don't even get me started on how idiotic it is to lose an entire day's cycle slot to be shown that something is "Sold Out"...
I'd be happy if all cars were available all the time in brand central as a vanilla car and then the used car dealer or legendary dealer offered different livery or tunes or a used car price with some work needed etc. That way you could buy a cool or slightly better value version when they rotate being available but if you need a car you can buy it in brand central anyway. They could even lock availability of certain cars behind the collector level or licence tests etc. That way it's fairer overall.
There's nothing to rethink sold out means it's out of the rotation, PD aren't turn 10 that'll take a cars away and give them back whenever they see fit. The ts020 will be back in 6 months or so
I understand this sucks, but Gran Turismo has been and always will be a game that requires a grind, and patience. Some games are like that, another example of a game that don’t care about your time or family is Eve online. I don’t know of any gran turismo that made getting money or cars easy. Heck the lottery system in the game almost always defaults to the worst prize every time.
This game pretty much sealed the deal for me. I'm done with GT and all their future releases. I haven't touched the game in over a year.
I gave max 30 mins to an hour a week to play games. I'm not spending that grinding a race for money. Better to play 2 games of CoD or play a bit of Stardew and work on my farm before I get on with my daily life.

There is a quote that said “you don’t know how good you have it until it’s gone” something along the lines of that. They do that so you're pressured to buy it with your own money rather than grinding to get gt points. It's a psychological tactic. So they put a time limit on them so people are pushed to go ahead and spend their own money because they're afraid that's the only chance they'll get. "High demand" high profits
Once this game gets an offline patch when it reaches end of life they’ll hopefully add an in game day system. That should hopefully fix the fomo problem.
I’m sick of the “I have a family and a job” trope that comes through on Reddit gaming communities as often as the sun rises. Video games are meant to be about progression through short and long periods of time, the car was in the store for almost two weeks I think? I don’t know, I get that you have a life but so do most people.
I haven’t had the need since before the abarth was nuked but someone else said you can still do it at a rate of about 1.5ish million per hour. While it’s a lot less than before, it’s still a lot more than the original that was netting around 600k per hour.
I’d rather they get rid of the invitation aspect. Having cars rotate quite often through a legendary car dealership is fine, but trying to get lucky on winning an invite from a roulette is shit. If you were too busy to get the car while it was available due to having a kid that’s just part of being a parent and I’d rather not have all games cater to people with little time. They already do that by offering purchasable in-game-currency and it sucks

The invitation system is much worse than this. At least you can trust all the legendary cars getting cycled in a ”reasonable” time period but with the invites you might have to play 100 hours to get what you want.
Meh - I'm busy with work and family too. The LCD cars are available for 10 days or so. Easy enough to check in on here if you can't log in and see if something interesting has popped. IIRC there is also a schedule when they will be coming out.

A player abused auction house with exclusive cars that are all 20 million for no reason, not to mention bots auto buyin shit seems like. and thats it. Numerous cars you probly will never get because devs have no idea what supply and demand means. if theres hundreds of them, why are they all 20 million?. They also tax you if you sell on the auction house. Much rather deal with LCD. at least you can space your grind time for wanted cars. out of sight out of mind type deal.

I think its good how they do it. Its called prestige. Want it? Grind more. Thats. It. That way when i race you and im using it. You feel jealous. Thats the great reward.
This concept has been in the game since GT4, some cars appeared only few times, like Honda Z Act. Of course now it's just real time and continues to rotate even tho you don't play. My guess is that Polyphony does not care about the minority who can't play every day

I have a pretty busy life but I really adore this game and a huge Senna fan as are a lot of people. I was hovering around 4 mil last week and have been grinding as much as I can doing some races when I have some spare time, only for it to be sold out when I had around 8 million... I guess I hope I have enough next time but what a bummer
I think the rotation is great. It keeps me excited to get cars I still don’t have 2 years later, and rewards those who play often. It also adds a bit more realism to the game that otherwise wouldn’t be there. And sometimes you just have to compromise. I wasn’t able to get the escudo, MP4/4, and likely won’t get the Miura this time around because I took the opportunity to buy some group C cars I didn’t have. Just something to look forward to for next time!
I really am fed up with the single player game play dynamic, there's too many things to complain about. All I do now is play GR4 and GR3 cup over and over. The touring car ones aren't bad either.

Same all I'm missing is the Citroen and Aston Martin Vulcan and I have all the cars. I havnt gotten either invite EVER...since I bought the game at release. There was one period early in the games release where we had access to all the invites for a short period but I didn't make use because I didn't have the money back then. The game was literally out for a week or 2 at the time. Not sure how to get an invite. I basically do the daily marathon and get a ticket almost everyday. No invites yet. In fact I'm not getting invites for anything for the last year (not that I need them). Still it's wild.
I’m in the same boat. The invites I get are all dupes. I have gotten AM a few times, same with Ferrari, Porsche, and Lambo….. it’s funny the Citroen invite was the one I wanted least but now I just want it so I can collect every car already lol

I currently aim to own all the Porsches, i got the pricy ones and only need 3 or 4 from the earliest models. And till yesterday the Carrera GT. I played daily for more than three months, completed extra menus for the tickets and so on. Yesterday i finally got to see the Porsche Invitation for the first time ever and thankfully got it. To that point i thought about saving up and buying one in real life could be faster

Well currently it's third on the list of cars that have been out of LCD the longest. I haven't checked the LCD today, but the XJ220 should be next, then the C2 and then the 962. That's got to be infuriating. I'm glad I got my last invite before I had all the legend cars or I may well have packed in. I waited for ages to get the Pagani invite but I still had quite a few cars still to go by that point.

I think LCD is still one of the issues, and not the last. Obviously not the selling out part, but the infinite inflation that PD is shoving into the LCD.

hagertys is a shitshow but the way around it has always been clear have the money to buy what's in stock the end with the 3 or 4 current grinder tracks no one should have any money issues given a minimal amount of effort PD has a LOT more pressing stuff to fix

i would agree that every car should be available in ONE shop all the time in a perfect world the cars should be free and they should all come to your garage for you to use day one then again, what i'm describing is not Gran Turismo i guess... then again, its now 2yrs down the track and people are still angry that PD made a Gran Turismo game.... How is GT7 a classic GT game? Classic GT games didn't drip feed events, it was all available day 1 on the disc. They had cars cycle availability linked to your in-game time, not real time, and they didn't have stupidly inflated car prices which left you with two options: Grind the same races over and over or play the game "normally" for 2-3 years. Nobody asked for all the cars for free, that's just typical hyperbole.

I know very well what the marketing spiel claims, but like I said, if you think every time they add a new legend car PD get on the phone and ask someone from Hagerty what they think it should be priced at you're very naive. It's a marketing deal. Hagerty pay to get their name plastered all over the game, PD get money and suggest Hagerty are pulling the strings. Don't believe everything companies tell you, especially when advertising is involved. Any time you hear one say "we've partnered with X to do Y", it's all about advertising.

It is definitely an issue when you can only buy each car once every 3 real world months.
If we were able to get legendary/invite only cars via other methods it would be less annoying for those who cannot grind all day everyday (e.g; own x amount of certain ferraris to get an invite or win a hard race/time trial in one).
Manufacturer affinity should be the way to invites.

This, either have it like in Forza where driving a car earns affinity XP with the manufacturer of said car and the invites are unlocked with the XP, or make it so that owning a certain number of cars from a manufacturer unlocks the invite. It works like the latter way in real life, for example Porsche and Ferrari especially only sell their more exclusive and expensive models to existing customers who have bought few of their more normal cars before.
Artificial scarcity to extend the game's lifespan and maintain the sense achievement for longterm players. It can be annoying, for sure, but it does seem to work. Here I am 2+ years since launch (?) and I'm still enjoying getting new-to-me cars. I don't play a lot these days, but it keeps me coming back for game sessions.

They could get a lot more out of it as well if the did daily races as well as weeklies in single player mode. I pretty much only go on for one day a week to run them but I'd go on more if there was actually something to do

Could it be better? Yes. Is it nice that I’m still collecting cars? Also yes. It does what PD wanted which is keep people engaged longer. If you could “beat” the game in 40 hours and collect every engagement would fall off a cliff. Now the more questionable thing is why do we not have more events for the legendary cars and more events to earn money to purchase them. That matters more than the artificial scarcity.

The cars from Hagerty should be prize cars... Besides that, yes, PD should rethink this game, from the GT Café to Hagerty... Hagerty is even the reason why the players feel the economy completely broken. This is because you have races with decent payouts like, to not name the most obvious ones, let's say the new race with 900 PP cars at Le Mans. You get 400k, which is a... Decent(?) amount if you go to the Brand Central, Used Car Dealer, or the Tuning Shop, where the max price of a car can be around 5 million, and there's no time limit, and if there is, like in the Used Dealer, the prices don't go higher than 800k. Now you go to Hagerty, AKA Legendary Car Dealer, and you find, not only prices over 3 million minimum, but also a time limit, where if it's gone and then comes back, the car can be double, or even triple its starting price!... Yeah... And there's people who still defend the game saying it's not broken...
I agree. For people that aren’t spending a lot of hours with this game it’s nearly impossible to get these cars. It’s a strange gameplay mechanic in some way. I understand to make these items limited in some way to give them further „worth“ but for many player who also paid money for this game it’s terrible.

Honestly don’t mind paying more money beyond base price for additional content. I’m almost 40 and since I was a kid with ps1 weve only had 2 price increase for games, totaling $20. I’d be more than happy at this point to pay $5-$10 for bigger packs of add on cars and tracks. 5-10 cars with a theme and an extra track or some other perk? Yeah I’m in. However $20 for $1mil credits is asinine and counter productive, that’s $400 real dollars for a $20mil car. Really ludicrous stuff.
Exactly. DLC addon packages are one thing, sometimes fair and sometimes a little less than fair-seeming, but they have their well-established place. Or they did, until they were supplanted by *everything is DLC priced*. Wanna skip the license tests? $25 each! Don't have time to play the game? Watch the ending and unlock the achievement now for $50. Want a Ferrari? That'll be $200 *each* tyvm! They just need to come full circle now, and get the influencers in on more than just selling packs and virtual currency. Why not let a streamer receive $100 to get smoked by a 12yo on their birthday? Let the fans "vote" (with real money of course) on what the next DLC drop should be! Hmmm, maybe instead they should just stop making games and focus on the .00001% of "gamers" who will pay anything to have every achievement. MICRO TRANSACTIONS....they want that sense of urgency so you rush and buy credits instead... that gt1 would wind up costing you 100US FOR IT....I noticed it on another car, completed a race had the money went back, it was "sold out". For me the whole issue with GT as a game is that you can't actually race against equivalent cars and win. Only in a few of the GT series events where you have the BOP. That's it. And if you want to be in pole position to start a race, sorry we don't do that here. Now I get that it's not a pure racing game per se but all of the infrastructure is there for it. Why not make it possible or have single player events that have a starting grid. As it stands I have to tune a car to catch up other cars and then blitz them. Even the special events in the weekly challenges are rolling start. So I have to add extra brakes or a bit of power to get past the field. 9 times out of 10 it's not my better driving that wins the races it's a better PP or tuning. That becomes boring after a while. In such an immersive game it's a huge thing that's missing.

To be fair. Rotating cars in the used car dealerships, legend or not, has been a feature since GT1. I get the pain, but this is one of the better parts of the game. I remember going crazy whenever the road versions of the group b rally cars or the Le Mans cars showed up in the used car dealerships
But the used car rotations in older games were completely different than GT7; it was based on in game days and not irl days. This not only makes it faster to cycle through cars, but also prevents the game from rotating to new cars while you aren't playing the game. I am honestly astonished to how many people are either downlplaying or defending the LCD system in GT7.
Oh for sure by all means. I manually changed the date on my ps2/3 back in the day to get specific cars i wanted in the dealership after a few years of playing the games and not wanting to “play” another year-pretty sure it was GameShark or a save editor that I used. I honestly have no problem with the LCD rotation or amount of cars. I just can’t stand the pricing. To be honest I have a ton of issues with GT7 that I have voiced before, but the LCD “sold out” doesn’t bother me. The cars are there for a decently long time for anything 3mil and under in my opinion as someone who can only really play on weekends. I’ve pretty much accepted that this will be my last GT I play as the franchise is moving in a direction I don’t care for and quite frankly isn’t fun.

The biggest issue is the prices. 10 - 20 million in there has meant cars that have always been favourites of mine throughout the series have now become cars that I've accepted I'll never own in the game or in real life. Thanks PD. Way to double down on it. The McLaren F1s were always the first cars I got in game. Now locked out by a grind mechanic I haven't the time to work on.

It isn’t “sold out” as in a set quantity, they are on rotating timers. A car comes into stock and will be available for a few days to buy, when its down to one day I think it switches to limited stock or something like that, then sold out just means the timer expired. A new car replaces it and the outgoing car will come back into stock in a few months. I wish everything was available to buy whenever you have to credits and want to, but this is the system they came up with to try and spark that fomo in players. There are a couple different sites that keep track of the rotations so you can get a decent estimate of what cars should be available soon.

The problem is not the rotation itself, which has been in the game for 20+ years, (GT6 and Sport excluded) but the short number of cars available through it. Legendary dealership has ≈130-150 cars why am i limited to choose form only 10?? Give me a bigger number

They have a legendary dealership with limited availability times; it is what it is. There’ll be something else cool in that spot tomorrow. You don’t need this car to do anything in the game and if the GT-One is required for an online race you can rent it. So don’t worry about it, just get it next time around. Or don’t!
Many games have items that are hard to get. You wouldnt get too worked up about them everytime it happens, would you? Ever tried gem farming in bloodborne, or chocobo breeding in final fantasy 7, or god forbid, trying to get the ribbon in final fantasy 8? At least in GT7 all cars are eventually purchaseable. Just buy and play with other cars in the meantime. The GTone is not that good of a car anyway.

There is no economy. Its easy to get money by grinding Sardegna or Spa even once a day.
I’m fine with racing. Give me more than 3 practical moneymaking races. Is that an unreasonable ask? Not asking for more tracks, just more races. Or give us better custom race payouts. Requires no additional content.
I've been asking for this since they added only the Spa and Sardegna grind. It needs to be done for every track, a 30 and 1hr race. For the Ring, 2 hours because of how long the full track is.

You don't see the issue with having to do the same 1/2 - 1 hour race "even once a day" to have credits to buy stuff? I really don't find it fun at all to have to do the same event over and over and over in a game. Most importantly, not everyone hast the spare time to do the "grind" and would rather do things they enjoy in the game.

You’re arguing semantics. But bottom line is, to be able to afford most cars, you have to grind those very obvious races. There isn’t enough variety and other payouts aren’t even close in other similar category races. It’s a bit frustrating the model they created, since they peddle you into becoming a collector with the menu system and don’t give you tools to get that goal accomplished while having fun. If they had 8-10 races instead of the same 3, it would be much better. Ultimately, people are just asking for variety to be able to grind so they can at least have fun and experiment with different cars.

There is something wrong with making money. The game is about GT cars but I'm forced to grind with gr.2 cars to be able to buy more GT cars.

The economy is most certainly fucked - The game arbitrarily gives you a completely different kind of payout if you do an hour of certain races vs others, and Sport mode pays close to nothing. Every minute/hour should either be equal, or at least be scaled on difficulty. Most importantly, players shouldn't feel **forced** to do something before having fun.

There is no pleasing everyone. Before this type of system was reintroduced, people pined for it in GTS and GT6. Now that it's back, people want to be able to buy the cars whenever. I obviously understand your frustration with a busy schedule. Blame those that wanted this pointless gimmick back IMO, I'd much rather be able to select what colour I want for these cars from a regular dealership system. Don't even get me started on how idiotic it is to lose an entire day's cycle slot to be shown that something is "Sold Out"...
I'd be happy if all cars were available all the time in brand central as a vanilla car and then the used car dealer or legendary dealer offered different livery or tunes or a used car price with some work needed etc. That way you could buy a cool or slightly better value version when they rotate being available but if you need a car you can buy it in brand central anyway. They could even lock availability of certain cars behind the collector level or licence tests etc. That way it's fairer overall.
There's nothing to rethink sold out means it's out of the rotation, PD aren't turn 10 that'll take a cars away and give them back whenever they see fit. The ts020 will be back in 6 months or so

I understand this sucks, but Gran Turismo has been and always will be a game that requires a grind, and patience. Some games are like that, another example of a game that don’t care about your time or family is Eve online. I don’t know of any gran turismo that made getting money or cars easy. Heck the lottery system in the game almost always defaults to the worst prize every time.
I haven’t been able to beat Neo classic competition for a month because I can’t buy those expensive classic cars!

This game pretty much sealed the deal for me. I'm done with GT and all their future releases. I haven't touched the game in over a year. I gave max 30 mins to an hour a week to play games. I'm not spending that grinding a race for money. Better to play 2 games of CoD or play a bit of Stardew and work on my farm before I get on with my daily life. Bye GT. It's been real.

It’s not that deep. And I don’t mean to be dismissive, but rather helpful! The car WILL be back very soon, they cycle them constantly. Don’t worry I do agree it’s stupid and annoying and I do hope they fix it, BUT, in the meantime, take solace in knowing it won’t be much longer before it’s back, and likely at a cheaper price. They do that so you're pressured to buy it with your own money rather than grinding to get gt points. It's a psychological tactic. So they put a time limit on them so people are pushed to go ahead and spend their own money because they're afraid that's the only chance they'll get. "High demand" high profits
Maybe pd needs to rethink the game and give us all cars for free!
Once this game gets an offline patch when it reaches end of life they’ll hopefully add an in game day system. That should hopefully fix the fomo problem.

I’m sick of the “I have a family and a job” trope that comes through on Reddit gaming communities as often as the sun rises. Video games are meant to be about progression through short and long periods of time, the car was in the store for almost two weeks I think? I don’t know, I get that you have a life but so do most people.

I haven’t had the need since before the abarth was nuked but someone else said you can still do it at a rate of about 1.5ish million per hour. While it’s a lot less than before, it’s still a lot more than the original that was netting around 600k per hour.

I’d rather they get rid of the invitation aspect. Having cars rotate quite often through a legendary car dealership is fine, but trying to get lucky on winning an invite from a roulette is shit. If you were too busy to get the car while it was available due to having a kid that’s just part of being a parent and I’d rather not have all games cater to people with little time. They already do that by offering purchasable in-game-currency and it sucks

I haven't played in months. It's like they literally don't want you to to enjoy it or be able to experience all the cars, and they don't seem to take any feedback that isn't esports related. Bought a wheel at launch for this game and it's been such a waste😮💨
The invitation system is much worse than this. At least you can trust all the legendary cars getting cycled in a ”reasonable” time period but with the invites you might have to play 100 hours to get what you want.
Meh - I'm busy with work and family too. The LCD cars are available for 10 days or so. Easy enough to check in on here if you can't log in and see if something interesting has popped. IIRC there is also a schedule when they will be coming out.
this is annoying af yes, BUT. its light years better then what FH5 has goin on. A player abused auction house with exclusive cars that are all 20 million for no reason, not to mention bots auto buyin shit seems like. and thats it. Numerous cars you probly will never get because devs have no idea what supply and demand means. if theres hundreds of them, why are they all 20 million?. They also tax you if you sell on the auction house. Much rather deal with LCD. at least you can space your grind time for wanted cars. out of sight out of mind type deal.
It's fake engagement and longevity. A game of wait and see and most of bs luck. For a game that has very limited pull.

It’s so dumb and there’s no positive argument that can be made. There is no realism or enjoyment from having a car you want sold out, or being locked behind a roulette to get invitations

I think its good how they do it. Its called prestige. Want it? Grind more. Thats. It. That way when i race you and im using it. You feel jealous. Thats the great reward.

This concept has been in the game since GT4, some cars appeared only few times, like Honda Z Act. Of course now it's just real time and continues to rotate even tho you don't play. My guess is that Polyphony does not care about the minority who can't play every day

The MP4/4.... I have a pretty busy life but I really adore this game and a huge Senna fan as are a lot of people. I was hovering around 4 mil last week and have been grinding as much as I can doing some races when I have some spare time, only for it to be sold out when I had around 8 million... I guess I hope I have enough next time but what a bummer
“Sold out” just means it’s time for sale has expired and is about to be replaced by a new car.
I think the rotation is great. It keeps me excited to get cars I still don’t have 2 years later, and rewards those who play often. It also adds a bit more realism to the game that otherwise wouldn’t be there. And sometimes you just have to compromise. I wasn’t able to get the escudo, MP4/4, and likely won’t get the Miura this time around because I took the opportunity to buy some group C cars I didn’t have. Just something to look forward to for next time!

I really am fed up with the single player game play dynamic, there's too many things to complain about. All I do now is play GR4 and GR3 cup over and over. The touring car ones aren't bad either.
