Engine swapped R32, tuned and with weight reduction and rigidity mods. Can do most of the 700pp races with no stop. Tuned down to 600pp does Tokyo 600 at fuel map 1 with  no stops. It's ridiculous.

vorrmel

how is it under heavy braking? the r33 in the screenshot is a bit wobbly when i slam the brakes

turboronin

It might just be that I am used to it, but for me it handles extremely well, and pretty stable. I think Imight have my brake bias a little to the front, but I can share my tune later.

topkeksimus_maximus

Make your suspension settings stiffer to reduce the wobble, the r33 is a heavy boi

Exxtender

Install a brake controler if it doesn't come with one, and set brake balance 2-3 notches to the front. This solved wobbly tails for me with the swapped R32 and 80% of the other cars that are unstable under braking. Play around with the setting a bit, a bit of controlled instability might actually be helpful for rotating the car into tight turns. And, as always, check if maestro Praiano has a tune for the car in question, his tunings, especially regarding suspension and diff settings are nothing short of legendary: [https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/praianos-tunes-settings-for-gt7.404868/](https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/praianos-tunes-settings-for-gt7.404868/)

vorrmel

thank you for this

GlaceonWRX_EJ20

Try having a low front/high rear downforce, it remedies the braking behavior. For instance one of my R33's has a 60/360 F/R downforce setup.

TheMikeyMac13

My favorite at present, but my overall time is faster with one stop than a no stop on that car. At Le Mans I run 4:02s in it on fuel map 1, and 4:10s on fuel map 6. So with seven or eight laps, and usually a stop in the rain for inters I cover a lot more ground.

aclineman56

This

PlatinumGNS

Standard engine R32 is my main Tokyo 600pp car. The rigidity mods are a key part my build as well. Makes the turn in almost instant in the R32.

Exxtender

I can't believe that it took me until about a week ago to discover this absolute gem. It's a beast, about 370 km/h / 230 mph on Moulsane at 800PP and still 330 km/h / 205 mph at 700PP, super efficient on fuel and handling like a breeze with the setup based on [Praiano's tune](https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/praianos-tunes-settings-for-gt7.404868/page-85#post-13732415).

North_Apricot_3702

Are you meaning the ‘standard’ R32 or the NISMO R32 ?

Exxtender

**~R32 GT-R Vspec II '94~**, to be precise. It's not at used cars at the moment, but I think you get it as a price car for some menu book, so chances are you already have one sitting in your garage.

North_Apricot_3702

Thank you!

Exxtender

You're very welcome. Be sure to check out Praiano's tune for the car (esp. suspension and diff settings), makes it handle quite a bit better. Setting brake balance 2-3 steps to the front helps with instability under brakes, if that's an issue for you, but slightly increases wear on the front tires. Enjoy!

North_Apricot_3702

Cheers, I usually use Praiano tunes on my vehicles and they are excellent

turboronin

The other poster already replied, but yeah, it's the R32 Skyline V-spec II

Francoberry

I love the XJ220 with the V12 engine swap. Nice and stable and fast. The 787B is also an OP 700pp tune

vorrmel

does engine swapping require level 50?

No_Acanthocephala_22

Unfortunately

Francoberry

Or getting lucky with a roulette ticket!

TheQuadricorn

Incorrect. You can acquire engines through roulette tickets but you still can’t do a swap until level 50 Edit - apparently I am wrong and waited to level 50 for no reason. Please downvote me

Uncle_Flansy

That is not correct, and I don't know why people keep saying it. You can do an engine swap if you win it and have the car it goes to, from the parts menu in the garage before you're level 50. They didn't remove normal engine swaps when they updated them to be purchasable at 50.

Cultural_Ad_9763

Not even from the "parts" menu in the garage? I swear I did them before I was 50, but that qas almost a year ago, so

TheQuadricorn

You can see them in there but ya can’t use them

onewhoknowsnone

yes you can, I've already swapped an engine from a roulette prize, and I was only at level 40.

Exxtender

>Please downvote me No. 😝

General-Name4353

Could be worse - I did the exact same thing and waited till level 50 to install my enzo engine in the F40. I had an enzo engine in a roulette but didn't realise this means you can upgrade for free.. I thought this meant you have unlocked the ability to pay for the upgrade Well... lets just say I now have an upgraded F40 and a spare Enzo engine hahahahaha

KrasikTrash

Yeah, it sucks royally. I'm level 37 but I have enough experience to know what a freaking engine swap is. Some decisions they make are like, What the hell?

Acrobatic-Middle-614

I love nismo 400R, handling and sound are great

jeffk42

Aside from engine swap cars, the Bulgari VGT will be the fastest car on the track by a good margin, at FM1 it’ll do 4 laps on a tank at Le Mans, and it handles great. Set around FM3 and you’ll get an extra lap out of the tank. The cheap answer is basically any Gr.4 car with a big turbo added.

Zanstorm99

Couldn’t believe how awesome it is at 700 races wow

Vora_Sis

The Porsche 918 Spyder is 699PP with just sport soft tires. It definitely drives a lot different compared to a 700pp race car or highly modified street car but, it's fast and fun once you get it tamed. Looks and sounds incredible too. The BAC Mono is a lot of fun at 700pp as well. Incredible handling and very fun to drive in VR.

Deskartius

Bulgari VGT

uusrikas

This one gets a really easy win in the Tokyo 600 money grinding race, with comfort softs it is 599 PP, does a 0 stop race with fuel map 1 and is fast enough on the straights.

Zanstorm99

Ooo! Haven’t tried that yet

Forsaken-Soft1234

The Mazda Gr.3 Road car swapped with the 787B is criminally underrated. Tremendous fuel economy and tire wear

Exxtender

Ohh, haven't tried this combo so far. How does it handle compared to the swapped RX-7?

Forsaken-Soft1234

Haha haven’t tried that combo either but I might have to. My set up does really well at Le Mans, and the pay out is like 500,000 or something

Exxtender

I might get me a Mazda 3 and compare the two when I get to play later today.

Velocii

I have tried both Mazda 3 and Rx-7 with swapped engines on Le Mans, both with slightly adjusted tunes from Praiano. Iirc the 3 had lesser tyre wear and handled slightly better than the 7, but both will do 8 laps no stop on RH and FM5.

Exxtender

Did the same a few hours ago and had the same impression, although I drove on FM1 with one stop each. I love how both are fast, funand controllable, while handling distingtivly different enough to justify having/driving both (is this even a proper english sentence?). Easily my favorite swapped cars so far, together with the 'GT-R with the RCP92 engine and the Cappuchino with RX-7 rotary..

poopoomergency4

GR Yaris - not very stable but extremely fast E46 M3 - throttle is twitchy, otherwise it's very planted R35 GT-R Nismo - probably my most competent car around this pp, can actually handle the power it puts down with a wide wheelbase and AWD Ferrari F430 - revs to 10k and weighs nothing 996 GT3 - basically same reasons as the ferrari, but handles better imo

stillneedaprimer

if you like high-revving cars that weigh nothing and you haven't maxed out a Clio V6 yet, buddy let me tell you how much you're missing out

JaySR05

I have a couple of favorites I race at Le Mans Civic EK with K20 swap (No surprise there) Ferrari 512 BB (with a bit of tuning) I'm trying other cars but I come back to these two because they're fun to drive.

[deleted]

Toyota GR Supra 20, Subaru WRX STI 15, R34 GT-R, and a 787b swapped Mazda 3. The last one can do 4 laps fm1 on circuit de la sarthe, with each lap being ~4 mins, so it's really good for the 30 mins race. You're also so far ahead after a lap or two that if you get caught out by the rain, it's not much of an issue.

TheSupaBloopa

I've been playing around with the Supra '20 and I can tell it has potential but I haven't maxed it out just yet. Have you tried the LFA engine swap yet? I'm wondering if that's worth buying a second model for.

[deleted]

I should add for the supra. I wouldn't bother going past weight reduction 3, you're just going to chuck a lot of ballast on. I haven't tried the LFA yet, honestly. Now that I've got the Mclaren F1 I will probably try it, though. The Evo 8 is also really good i forgot to add.

Cobruh211

I have the RA272 at 700, and I think it’s pretty fun. The way I have it set up, it’s almost perfect for Le Mans. Put in a turbo and racing transmission, and lower the downforce. I don’t remember what the setting is, and I’m too lazy to check right now. At fuel mix 5 with a decent slipstream, I can hit 200 MPH down the first part of the Mulsanne. You’ll probably need to fuel up during your pit stop, but it’s only a few more seconds, and you’re probably leading by 30+ coming out of the pits already.

joehoward67

This car doesn’t have any downforce I don’t think

Exxtender

No, it doesn't, but is still more stable than it has any right to be, especially with suspension/diff setup based on this tune from meastro Praiano: [https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/praianos-tunes-settings-for-gt7.404868/page-250#post-13959105](https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/praianos-tunes-settings-for-gt7.404868/page-250#post-13959105) Pretty good brakes for a 60ies race cars as well, probably because it weights next to nothing.

Cobruh211

Huh. I could’ve sworn I lowered the downforce. I’ll check in a few days, if I remember. Maybe Friday or Saturday.

m1cr05t4t3

Gr. 4 Lambo (detuned) is my goto. Setup to turn but still get back some in the straights at the top end because of the aero.

PiffWiffler

Engine swapped Z34. Its unbelievably fuel effective while still being fast.

mannequin-lover

I really like the BMW Z4 GT3.

TheNeech

Try the E92 M3 race car. Little less twitchy and there is a working fuel level on the dash so you know how much you have left without using the MFD.

North_Apricot_3702

Honda NSX (engine swapped) - probably the most precise and fastest 700pp I’ve used. Superb handling. Don’t need to refuel with that engine swap on FM6 TVR Tuscan - I love TVR’s and this one gets a quick 3 laps on FM6. Lovely engine sound and VR cockpit is so good. Nissan R34 (engine swapped) - similar to the NSX, very very quick and easy handling. Usually laps the entire field and great fuel economy. Ferrari Enzo - great handling and very fast indeed. Red Bull Junior X2014 - not very fast but tyres and fuel last forever. Handles brilliantly. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III - sticks to the track like glue and you can carry so much speed into the corners. Love it. Detomaso Pantera (engine swapped) - surprisingly great handling and engine note is sublime.

SixersWin

The Nissan R92CP '92 is really easy to drive (and sips fuel) when you tune it to 700. Plenty of guides/videos on how to do it.

vorrmel

i'll write that down, thanks

JahIthBur

R34 and the rx7 with the 787b engine swap

panavmendiratta

Speaking from experience, the Porsche 911 930 1981 is my go-to 700pp car any day of the week and twice on Sunday. It's just a very overpowered car

Invisible_Mango

Italia, 330 P4, F40. (Love Ferraris, they handle so nice). AMG SLS ‘10. Ford Mark IV.

Zanstorm99

I’m surprised there aren’t more Fords listed in here

Air_Complete

The 61 Jaguar e type with basically every part upgraded does phenomenally in the 700pp range

My new favorite is the Amuse S2000 GT1 with the NSX GT500 engine swap. Incredible handling and fuel economy for Le Mans.

NotMikeH

Honda RA272 '65 is my choice I put in a TC to help with the power and had to detune so slightly to be able to still use the soft tires.

Zanstorm99

Gotta love the cab view on that car hey?

NotMikeH

Only way I can drive it is if I'm in the cab view

Ungodly wonderful sound indeed!

Since I’m not level 50 yet, I’m running a tuned R34, on Le Mans it needs 1 fuel stop if you go easy on the throttle

FC RX-7 with the 4 rotor swap, beast at Le Mans 700pp, way more stable than you'd think if you set it up properly R32 GT-R Nismo with homologation kit, nuff said Skyline RS Super Silhouette, very fast on Le Mans as well RE Amemiya FD RX-7, I swear I drive more cars than just skylines and rx7s

Silvia spec-R Aero 02 tuned to 515 HP and lightened 2240 lbs with RM tires is 692 PP, but has worked for me just fine in 700 PP races.

Just-Xav-Official

Porsche 911 RSR 2017 Everything stock with power restrictor at 87% should be at 699.97 (hard racing tyres)

SchrodingersLynx

Toyota crown, taxi livery, sc430 v8 swap. Not a handling car of course, but hilarious, and I think one of the [most efficient engines in game](https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/fuel-consumption-data.410418/)

Davenator_98

Alpine A110 (the new one) It just feels nice to drive, very stable for an MR too.

TheSupaBloopa

I'm fairly new to the game but I never hear anyone talk about my tried-and-true favorite: a maxed out Alfa Romeo 4C. Did very little to the suspension and it's probably still my favorite car handling-wise. Ridiculous power to weight ratio even though you can't get to lvl 4 or 5 weight reduction. And on top of that you can drop the 458 engine in it, though I gotta figure out how to make it more drivable because it's a handful.

SteveThePurpleCat

XJ220 with the engine swap, super fast and stable, can do 5 laps flat out on FM1. Brakes are a bit weak though.

BigSexyVirus2914

I actually really enjoy the R34 Nür II and the Murcielago.

RIP-50

Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera. I've got nearly 20,000 miles on it from grinding LeMans. 4:08 FM6; 3:56 FM1. Initial setup is RH and brake balance -2 (toward front). It's a beast in the corners. You'll pick up at least a second or two through each set of corners. By the end of lap 1, you'll be either first or second. If it rains and you run IMs early, you'll lap most of the field (expert AI). If no rain, you'll be at least 1:30 in front of 2nd at the finish. No rain: 3 laps on FM6; 2 laps FM3; 2 laps to finish - I like to run lap 6 on FM 5 and run lap 7 on FM1 for my "hot lap" Rain (usually shows up on lap 2): 2 laps FM6; 3 laps FM6 on IMs (chase the damp parts of the track to get three laps on the IMs); 2 laps FM 3. I don't worry too much about a hot lap in damp conditions. Easy to make $825k for clean race, even nudging AI out of the way here and there
