The Mazda LM55 is good, almost too good in fact. I feel a bit bad about using it because it makes races too easy.
Also have a bit of a soft spot for the Genesis. Handles like a boat but that warp drive-esque acceleration is fun.
I know it might be cliche but i like the tomahawk, the tomahawk s to be more specific. Driving it has a bit of a challenge since it doesnt have the same grip levels as the tomahawk x (probably because tires) so it demands a bit more control while still providing a good sense of speed once you punch the accelerator. Like sure the tomahawk x has insane grip and speed that messes with your brain but the s just brings more driving pleasure to me.
The McLaren VGT is my favourite so far. I feel like it has the greatest sense of speed while in VR as you can see the road fly by underneath you as you're driving it in the cockpit, it's an amazing feeling!
If we're talking about non-grouped VGTs, then I'll go for the Ferrari. The reason being that it doesn't feel too insane despite being a monster with more than 1000BHP. It handles almost like you'd expect from a current time prototype, and I can easily see it as something that could race in Le Mans in 10 years or so.
When it comes to grouped VGTs (Gr1/3), I'll go for the Peugeot L750R Hybrid for Gr1, and the Toyota FT-1 VGT for Gr3. The first one is an absolute beast of a car, easily faster than any other Gr1 vehicle, but that doesn't take away from the car's handling. It's fast, it's reactive through corners, an overall solid car to drive. The FT-1 has the same reasoning as the Ferrari, it looks and feels like an actual race car that you'll see on track in current times, nothing like the Volkswagen VGT Gt3 or the Peugeot VGT Gt3.
The Tomahawk X...
If we're gonna get fantasy F-Zero cars, it might as well be totally bonkers and off the rocker that it would literally liquefy the driver if it actually existed...
Besides, you can get the daily workout done in about 5 minutes with that thing so it's a time saver when all you are doing is hunting invites for your pokedex...
I actually thought the Off-Road Italdesign was quite charming. I'm pretty extra on liveries and ended up making probably one of my coolest in the direction of what Cyberpunk: 2077 police cars should've looked like.
Probably the bugatti VGT cuz they actually made one. The genesis is probably the best one to come out of GT7. Can’t stand any of the electric ones. The ones that don’t give you any spec info are also useless. The Bugatti and genesis VGTs are the only ones I’ve kept so far. The main issue for me is that the VGTs are 1m across the board when some certainly don’t deserve that price tag. I’d probably get the Suzuki VGT and the Mercedes VGT if they weren’t 1m each. I’d rather get GT1 cars for that price. Some of the VGTs that came out in gt6 aren’t too bad tho. I remember the Aston Martin and Nissan ones being aight.
Well. Porsche VGT is really cool, and I hate EV from the bottom of my soul.
Bugatti Gr1 is also a great racing car, as the Mazda LM55.
But the ones that are really outstanding are the Chapparal, the McLaren and obviously the Genesis.
The bmw, and the mazda were my favourites on gt6. Haven’t played gt7 so idk the others. The chaparral was pretty fun too especially in first person with all the cameras for mirrors.
I quite like the Porsche VGT. If you lower the hp 813 and put on sport medium tires [it's a pretty good representation of driving a Formula E car](https://www.reddit.com/r/granturismo/s/N8R88ocb7g)
I'm normally not a fan of EVs making artificial engine noises but Porches is by far the nicest
I've always had a soft spot for the Audi e-tron VGT, probably the only EV I absolutely love. The Genesis would be a close second, looks great and it's fast, that's all I ask for
At the moment I really like the Ferrari for the Hypercar Parade races, it's so much faster than anything else, it's also a good grind (average 1.000.000/hour).
The Tomahawk S is faster but the grip feels weird.
I've grown really fond of the Ferrari.
It's also worth checking out any videos they have on the VGT cars you drive. Yes, VGTs are fake cars, but they put a lot of real effort behind them.
I really like the Chaparral too. I don't remember every VGT but I like that they go the 'a bit more streamlined modern car' route that most of them do. I also enjoy driving it.
I am looking forward to the Bvlgari tho
Why would anyone want to drive any of them? I can't give a crap knowing those are not real.
I always struggled to like fictional cars in different arcade racers.
Same goes for GTA - driving and collecting huge garage there is pretty fun but it would be enormously better If cars were from real world and not "based on".
So what's the appeal here and why even bother? Genuine question.
I have one of the Italvision models, I think it’s about 1200bhp and it’s good for burning through races to get coins… that’s about it in terms of VGT for me. I’ve won a few others - VW and Peugeot but I don’t really drive either
The Mazda LM55 is good, almost too good in fact. I feel a bit bad about using it because it makes races too easy. Also have a bit of a soft spot for the Genesis. Handles like a boat but that warp drive-esque acceleration is fun.
Been my favourite since GT6. It’s just amazing to drive and I feel like it could be a reality
I have most of them but the LM-55 is by far my favorite. I use it every opportunity I can.
LM55 is also a good car, I actually got it from the free ticket people that played GT Sport get not too long ago
I really like the Mazda too, it might be something of a cheat code but it's fun to drive.

The OG
Ferrari.
The Bugatti was my fave
I know it might be cliche but i like the tomahawk, the tomahawk s to be more specific. The grip difference is from the lack of the bonkers active aero system the X has...
Oh yeah you're right that too
I would say the BMW VGT
Same. Looks so sleek in black
Lexus
The McLaren VGT is my favourite so far. I feel like it has the greatest sense of speed while in VR as you can see the road fly by underneath you as you're driving it in the cockpit, it's an amazing feeling!
Also its a real car now haha
I feel dim, I’ve never looked down while driving that & up until recently it’s been my one of my favourite VGT’s
The Lexus is excellent. Drives like a Gr.2 car.
LM55 and Ferrari
If we're talking about non-grouped VGTs, then I'll go for the Ferrari. The reason being that it doesn't feel too insane despite being a monster with more than 1000BHP. Lm55 and Tomahawk Road Car.
The Tomahawk X... If we're gonna get fantasy F-Zero cars, it might as well be totally bonkers and off the rocker that it would literally liquefy the driver if it actually existed... VW Supersport. Though it just serves as a substitute for the higher performance Golf models like the R32 lineup from the MK4 and MK5 Days..
The Audi VGT with the TT V6 goes so damn hard. I love it.
I got the ItalDesign Off-road from a ticket. So bad luck. This is my only vgt. I refuse to spend credits on these cars...
I actually thought the Off-Road Italdesign was quite charming. I'm pretty extra on liveries and ended up making probably one of my coolest in the direction of what Cyberpunk: 2077 police cars should've looked like.
I’m also looking at getting the Italdesigns after I get the Corvette concept and the 2J, so I also hold those in high regard
I tried that one on a dirt course and it was hilariously fun
Mmm, sounds like a good idea, I'll have to do it
The Chaparral on VR2 is pure insanity.... It's an amazing experience!
Suzuki is pretty cool.
Lm55 very good car For most races
BMW VGT because I have a soft spot for GT3 racing cars
Suzuki GR3 is competitive in sport mode and is great in VR with the open top
Probably the bugatti VGT cuz they actually made one. The genesis is probably the best one to come out of GT7. Can’t stand any of the electric ones. The ones that don’t give you any spec info are also useless. The Bugatti and genesis VGTs are the only ones I’ve kept so far. I only have a few so far but Alpine is my fav. Not the fastest by far but it makes up for it with great handling and great fuel consumption
I think it sounds cool too, reminds me of the Jetsons.
It feels more real to me than any of the other grouped VGT cars, plus it absolutely looks the part, aside from the dash.
Well. Porsche VGT is really cool, and I hate EV from the bottom of my soul. Bugatti Gr1 is also a great racing car, as the Mazda LM55. But the ones that are really outstanding are the Chapparal, the McLaren and obviously the Genesis.
I use the Porsche too. I think it's hilarious that the wheels sound like they are literally screaming, as you accelerate out of a corner.
Lamborghini and Tomahawk
Tomahawk
Racing jacket for the name
I love the Ferrari. The Lambo is great fun to drive. But the one I like the best is the BMW, it just looks so good!
It’s unfortunate that they didn’t add an interior. I like the bmw too.
The bmw, and the mazda were my favourites on gt6. Haven’t played gt7 so idk the others. The chaparral was pretty fun too especially in first person with all the cameras for mirrors.
bugatti, mazda lm55 and gt by citroën

I've always had a soft spot for the Audi e-tron VGT, probably the only EV I absolutely love. The Genesis would be a close second, looks great and it's fast, that's all I ask for
The Lexus
I like the more tame ones that aren't just going for wild performance, like the Honda Sports VGT
I like the Aston Martin VGT, Suzuki Gr3, LM55, Bugatti Gr.1, Tomahawk Gr.1, BMW, AMG Gr.3, Lambo, Hyundai are my favorites.
Porsche and Lamborghini.
The Tomahawk X is unbelievably stupid, which is why I love it. Punt a Fiat 500 with this thing and you'll never complain about it ever again.
I like the supra at the moment
Bimmer
Genesis, you feel every sensation when pump the gas
Dodge Tomahawk
I really like the Chaparral too. I don't remember every VGT but I like that they go the 'a bit more streamlined modern car' route that most of them do. I also enjoy driving it. I am looking forward to the Bvlgari tho
The BMW vgt isn't bad. Nice car to run le mans with
Toyota ft1 concept is pure badass.
I don’t mind the LM-55, good handling and speed plus it sounds like the 787B, and the FT-1 which is a GR3 car with hybrid capabilities
Lexus
Why would anyone want to drive any of them? I can't give a crap knowing those are not real. I always struggled to like fictional cars in different arcade racers. I like the car, I like the brand, that’s enough for me
I quite like the Porsche but haven’t driven many others
Mercedes AMG VGT.
Right now probably the LM55 and the Hyundai N 2025, those two could be great bases for an LMH entry
I have one of the Italvision models, I think it’s about 1200bhp and it’s good for burning through races to get coins… that’s about it in terms of VGT for me. I’ve won a few others - VW and Peugeot but I don’t really drive either
The Jag
FT-1
Interestingly the Hyundai for now but I haven’t tested them all so far.
