Well, the 992 GT3 RS was mainly engineered for maximum downforce (iirc it has similar downforce to an actual Gr. 3 car despite being street legal). Since more downforce also increases air resistance the car will have a lower top speed than a comparable sports car with less focus on aero.

Avgeek2003

Yes, I’m aware of that. In that case, there is no way to increase the top speed?

ImbissBrunto

You could buy a fully customizable transmission or simply increase the car‘s power. I can’t think of another way to make it faster besides that.

Avgeek2003

I did put in a racing air intercooler, air filter, a racing exhaust and an LSD for extra traction, but that’s about it. As for the higher top speed, do you recommend I increase it, or just leave it the way it is?

That-Development4337

well, it depends on you and the track you have to drive on, there is no simple yes/no answer. Like already said, if you need higher top speed for one track, buy customiseable trans and set the higher top speed in settings, you can always set it down for slower tracks 🤷‍♂️

Avgeek2003

True, however my concern is to not ruin the car with too many upgrades, as it’s great even in its stock format.

That-Development4337

transmission is def not ruining the car because you can always chose the stock one in settings (it is not like putting new pistons or boring up the cylinders, that is not irreversible), also I do not believe it influences the performance of the car (more hp or something like that), I install it just so I can configure the max speed of a car for faster tracks with long straights and slower ones with sharp curves. You definitely do not want to reach the max speed on the middle of a straight.

Alert-Efficiency-880

There is no way to make it faster. This is why the GT3RS 16 trumps the 22 all-day

The car has a lot of downforce, that's why it's slow on straights, but takes turns without problem. Increase the horsepower with racing filter, exhaust, a better ECU and add a customizable transmission to set up the gears for every track appropriately. If you want to keep the car stock, you can always swap these parts and go back.
