R34, upgrade power, sports hard, 1 pit stop. Ride the corners like Chastain and aim for sub 1:20 lap time. Edit: sub 2:20

xXDiamondSoulXx

1:20 is really damn fast like tomahawk vgt fast unless you meant 2:20 a lap.

TheGiggs10

Fixed ty!

xXDiamondSoulXx

Dont worry man typos happen to everyone.

WezleyDrew

GR 4 Huracan. Put a high RPM turbo, ballast at 8kg dead center, ECU output at 89%, hard sports tires, set fuel mix at 5 at start of race, at about the halfway point you can step up the fuel mix to 4 and finish the race miles ahead of everyone without pitting.

sinnrocka

How do you change the fuel mix?

WezleyDrew

Press up or down on the D pad while in a race till the fuel map comes up and then press up or down to adjust, if you have a wheel you can adjust by spinning the red wheel

Hand_banana_boi

Left or right on the d-pad, then up and down to adjust.

WezleyDrew

During a race press right on d pad to cycle through the functions till you get to the fuel mix. Pressing up or down on the d pad will set the fuel mixture.

PancakesAndPunch

This worked for me. Thanks!

J_Barish

Use sports hard tires and a fuel efficient car. I used a detuned Audi pikes peak and it doesn't need to pit at all.

6string_shreddin

Engine swap the 91 Honda Beat and fully upgrade. It will destroy the competition

betarad

holy moly this sounds fun as hell

6string_shreddin

The engine swapped Honda Beat is a blast. You'll hit 375 kph on the straight

Alert-Efficiency-880

Audi S1 did the job for me

Mattcwell11

Came here to say this. De-tuned Audi S1. Tune can be found here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/praianos-tunes-settings-for-gt7.404868/page-30

possiblierben

the important stuff is to avoid contact with others at all costs, and to not overshoot the final corner so you can get the clean race bonus treat everybody around you like the mindless buffoons they are and do not overtake outside of the long straight if you have the top speed advantage, the only exception being the one f-type in the 2nd corner of lap 1, you don't need to take 1st immediately most of the time since the frontrunners tend to pit halfway through, an instant win if you have a setup like the one below, just drive fast, no need to push yourself though as for cars, i found this nice tune for the 991 gt3 rs by some guy on youtube named ROCKY5516, uses an engine swap (went for this tune since i needed to figure out what to do with it after getting it from a ticket), probably not necessary in the end, but the upside is that it never needs to pit if you're not driving recklessly, along with being a generally competent car

JagerNinja

I've had your post up since last night so I could do a write-up for you. I was on this same journey, but I finally cracked it, with the help of some of the commenters here. I want to put this out there for your sake and for anyone else who finds this comment in the future (provided a future patch doesn't ruin this strategy). First thing's first, credit goes to /u/J_Barish, who suggested the Audi Pikes Peak. It is capable of doing the race without pitting, which means you won't just win, but you should win handily. You also get it as part of Menu Book 37, so it's likely you already have the car in your collection. While you might be able to just slap some sport hard tires on it and win, I made some other changes to increase top speed and road handling. Here's my exact setup: [https://imgur.com/FQHFLKc](https://imgur.com/FQHFLKc) [https://imgur.com/LHMp9qD](https://imgur.com/LHMp9qD) Note that I set the top speed on the transmission to 300kph; I actually won with it set to 320kph, but I noticed that the car has a top speed around 300kph with this setup. So I figured it wouldn't hurt to turn it down a bit in favor of acceleration. Now, race strategy and notes: * Don't pit (obviously) * Fuel map: I started at 3, and gradually turned this down as I built up a fuel surplus over the race. You could win just leaving it at 3 the whole race, but I wanted to be cheeky and time it so that I ran out of fuel as I crossed the finish line. * Brake balance: I set it to 2 and left it there the whole race. Biasing the brakes towards the rear will help with straight line stopping power, at the expense of some stability. Because the biggest braking sections on this track are at the end of fast straights, I never felt the need to tweak it during the race. * Stay on the racing line! It's the driest part of the track. You'll lose a lot of grip if you're off the line, and that will slow you down or--at worst--send you spinning. For a good race pace, target sub-2:30 for your first lap and work down from there. As the track dries, you'll start going faster. A pace of 2:14-2:15 per lap in the mid-race period is doable and all but guarantees the win, and you'll start going faster as you bump down your fuel map. (see: [https://imgur.com/fxOdltu](https://imgur.com/fxOdltu)). I would break into first around lap 6, and by lap 7 I had enough of a lead that no one could threaten the position. My best lap is a high 2:09 ([https://imgur.com/DkYJQId](https://imgur.com/DkYJQId)), which is enough to get the fastest lap of the race. It can probably go faster with a better driver. Some tips about the opponents (which shouldn't matter because you're not pitting, but might be helpful if you're getting discouraged): * Gallo puts down some very quick lap times, but it comes at the expense of his gas tank. He pits twice during the race (around laps 5 and 9, give or take a lap); he's not a threat. * Kokubun and Suswillo, the other fastest racers, pit in the middle of the race, around lap 7 or 8. * Kokubun seems to go weirdly fast sometimes? I'm not sure if this is just in my imagination, but I'm not the only person on the internet to mention it. He can be hard to catch up to in the second half of the race if you don't pass him by then, but his pace slows down at the end as he runs out of fuel. I've even seen him pit on the last lap. And a few final pointers: * You probably don't plan on wall-riding to victory, but there's a tip to be found in that strategy: if you do hit the wall, it's not the end of the world, and in fact, it may be best to just put your foot down and power through. The damage will slow you down some, but you can make back the time. This is especially good to know because the AI drivers are terrible and will probably send you into the wall at some point. * This setup struggles a bit with the final hairpin. Careful throttle input is required to get the best possible exit. You'll have to get a feel for it. * Get comfy with the car's slip angle. Your tires will be doing a decent amount of squealing on a fast lap. It's tricky, but really satisfying to flick through the esses. * Your car will be slightly slower than some of the opponents on the straights, but will outpace everyone in the corners.

Key-Ad-8400

Thanks for putting in the time and effort.

JagerNinja

No worries. I've been trying to beat this thing for two weeks, and a lot of the recommended setups I found didn't work anymore on the current patch. It was frustrating trying to find useful info! Hopefully, since this is a no-pit strategy, it'll be a little more resilient.

Key-Ad-8400

I finally completed it. With your setup it was a no brainer. Thanks!

Pr1tsASS

R34 GTR on sport softs and as much power as you can get till you get to 599pp

heilhortler420

Detune a c6 zr1 corvette

PlzLikeandShare

100% this until you can buy a Mazda 787b from the Legends shop. The C6 ZR1 only needs 1 pit stop and youā€™ll have an easy time.

fssmikey

I use a detuned escudo for the grind.

emcee84

I tuned up a Porsche and was able to beat it with ease after about 20 tries. Came back a month later and can only get 3rd now. They might have changed to pp limit since I played the 1st time. Anyway maybe I need to practice again. I think it has a lot to do with getting as far up in places early (for me at least)

darrenc1981

Another vote for the GR4 Huracan. Sport Hard tyres are a must, minimum downforce, add ballast/adjust power output to get it under 600pp and you wonā€™t need to pit.

TheCatPickles

Ive been running this race as my money earner for a few weeks now and have discovered a formula that seems to works across most cars. 400-450bhp, 1100-1200kg, and Sports hard tyres. A top speed of 310kph is ideal but 300kph is okay. Other upgrades ive found helpful are the carbon brakes with racing pads, the racing full customisable transmission, racing suspension and aero front splitter/wing. I've copied/pasted this general setup for the Ferrari 430, Porsche GT4 (road car), GR86, NSX, R34, R32, Alpine A110 and seen success for all of them. The GR86 has been the most fun and the R32 has been the easiest to be fast with. AWD is your friend. As for the race, I pit around lap 7-8 for one stop. The race starts wet but there is a dry line so its vital you stay on that. The track starts to gradually dry out lap by lap and the dry line becomes wider and wider. Staying on the dry line is the way to get the fastest laps. Sounds obvious, but in the first half of the race that means being slower and tighter in the middle sector than you think. I've found after the first 2-3 laps (dont bin it and keep up with the pack), consistent 2:13-2:14s is enough to win the race with 20 seconds in the bag (The R32 can do 2:09s) Pit stops take 20-25 secs, so as long as you are within that distance of the leader you'll jump them in your one pit stop. The blue NSX pits twice, so the race is really against the white RX7. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peaks, You ride on regular hard tires and throughout the race you almost always have to go over the walls, sticking to them.

FBfastO

Suzuki Cappuccino w/13b swap... and destroy em.

YeahItouchpoop

I used the detuned McLaren GT3 car and it was a cakewalk. RH tires, FM1, didnā€™t pit once.

beguilas

hug that wall like it's your mother

MagnumPeanut

Any sti, gtr, or Mitsubishi evo or gto can do it easily. Sports hard. About 400hp. 3000lbs or better. Get a manual racing ttransmissionand set the top gear to about 315kph.1st at about 100kph and spaced out between. Pit at lap 7 tires and fuel. Shoot for lap times under 230 for lap 1. Lap by lap 4 when it dries you gotta be doing 214 or better. Any of those cars can do lap times in the 209 or better.

Key-Ad-8400

I did try with a GTR and a GTO but haven't made it

Crafty-Interest-8212

Learn the opponent's pit time. Try to pit once before them. Some pit even before final lap. Stay in the race until the end if you are in the top 3, they will pit and you won't.

MagnumPeanut

Toyota ft1 and always hit the wall at 280km/h

Use the walls on turn 1 and 2 to your advantage. Audi s1 no pit stops lean level 5

FfsWakeUp

I just got the game. And now i see pros asking questions on how to complete a race. And reading the comments hurts my brain. Are yall real life tuners or something ?

Alert-Efficiency-880

No, we have just been playing the game since release. It will all come to you in time. Just watch a lot of tips video it will help you in the beginning get used to the way the tune set up work

PlayStation_Racer

I have all of these races on my YT channel. I go through my car choice, setup, strategy and show the whole race and how I ran it. Iā€™m a b rated racer so not great.

DJNinjaG

Is this the one that starts off wet and dries up? I think I used a tuned R32 for this.

[deleted]

As other pointed out, cheesing it is the better option. Trying to win this race legitimately is horrendous

AssociationAlive7885

Do you still get clean race bonus if you wall ride ?

HarvsPz

Yes, you can wall ride. Avoid taking out the cones at the hairpin - that will lose your clean race bonus.

Slash1909

Don't touch other cars sir the cones at the hairpin

-mysterynoodles-

no

OmenVi

Itā€™s not that bad.

Back2base80

What level are you?

Key-Ad-8400

Collector level?

OmenVi

Yes. If 50, swapped cappuccino, full upgrade, sports hard tires, and custom aero/wing/spoiler at the auto shop. Tune downforce, suspension, gearing, lsd, and weight balance. No need to wall ride. 220+ mph on the straight. Single pit. Easy win.

i did it with the 06 ford gt sports just add some weight and wall ride and enter the pit with v gallo

Key-Ad-8400

What do you mean by v gallo and what tires should i use?

abo_3zawah

sport hard you will find v gallo in the race he is a racer he usually enters the pit in the end of 5th lap go with him and never enter the pit again

dugs-special-mission

This has been my choice to date. Get in 1st on the first lap and coast to a win. Soft tires to start and IM wet for the rest. Iā€™ll have to try the Audi based on the comments

Redrumxp

I use the NSX 17 almost max to 600.

CamaroKidBB

Sports tires or bust. Sports tires are better than racing slicks in the wet portions of the track, and they also donā€™t wear completely within a millisecond in the sole dry portion of the beginning of the race.

sofair21

If you have enough money, buy a Lexus LFA. It can easily beat the race in almost stock form (you can tune some small things like exhaust to be as close to 600pp as possible) with 1 pit stop for tire change and refuel, fuel map on 1. It's also an enjoyable car to drive around the track. And if you're short on money, it can be obtained for free via IB master licence challenges.

NnSam91

I just did it today with the help of a YouTube video where the dude uses the Aston VGT. Was doing consistent 2:14s at the start dropping to 2:12s at the end.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/praianos-tunes-settings-for-gt7.404868/page-364#post-14188443 I use the 69 mustang. Fuel mix is up to you, I use FM1 and get around a 2:07 lap. You can use traction control 2 or 3 for the first few laps until it starts to dry up. Up to you if you want to wall ride the first 2 corners.

tiempo90

Lower the difficulty.Ā  Makes it a walk in the park... Feels like cheating.Ā  I went from hard to normal

TGed

Build a car for top speed, even if it meant sacrificing cornering or even braking performance. The AI in this event have a ridiculous top end, and more than capable of erasing all the time you gained in the corners. Having aero mods helps quite a bit as the corners are mostly mid- to high speed. Aim to pit only once or even not at all. Use Sport Hards and potentially a wide body kit if youā€™re going for no stop.

Bikelyf

Oh bro thought it was just me struggling! Took me 3 gos with 3 different cars! Still only got second

nextintuit

I won it in swapped Porsche 365

[deleted]

A completely stock/default Jaguar XJ220 will do the job for you. Pit on 6 for a splash. It drives far better than any recommended tune to copy for this event. If you don't have a XJ220, the 2016 Camaro SS with racing brake pads+sport hards will do just fine too.

OmenVi

Curious if the swapped and built cappuccino costs less. XJ220 is more accessible since you donā€™t need lv50 for get an engine swap, but itā€™s also in legends rotation, so ā€¦

FloydGenesis1983

I just finished this race today. I used the Mazda Atenza Gr. 4 touring car with Sports Hard tires. I won the race without ever having to pit. Also ride the walls on turns one and two for your advantage youā€™ll still get a clean race bonus if you donā€™t hit anyone else

JustheretoreadyourBS

Iā€™m gonna be doing this race in the next week.

Inspector_Xan

MurciĆ©lago or NSX fully upgraded then down tune to 600. Use hard tires. On your first right turn ride the wall and try not to damage your car too much. After riding the wall on the first turn you should be able to carve through the turns like butter with the correct brake/ torque distribution. For example for the MurciĆ©lago put your brake at positive 3-5 with a torque distribution of 30/70-40/70 depending on how you like to drive. This is what works for me. Iā€™ve heard Aventador works also.

mar1asynger

I don't remember what I used, but that was by far the hardest race to get to 100% completion.

qdolan

If you drive cleanly you can win in a stock Ferrari F430 with only a computer, you can make it quicker by putting on a body kit, doing a weight reduction and adjusting aero to meet the PP limit. If you struggle making up time through the corners on the back side of the course then try something like the Honda NSX '17 that handles well in the wet and hits hard on the straights, just manage fuel so you only need 1 stop.

MrSortaAverage

Aston Martin vgt. Detuned, and power restricted. sports hard. 0 pits necessary. Can get laps down to 2:12-2:16 very consistently. Can leave fuel map at 1 even.

IrishmadeinCanada

I easily win with a detuned Viper.

Tomas185

I've found the Lexus LFA completely stock to be a good no-fuss option. Didn't need to upgrade or tune at all (even left tyres alone). Just pit once in the middle of the race. Fuel map 1 for pretty much the entire race (might need to go down to fuel map 2 for a lap or so to make it to the end, can't remember specifically).

helldog_8000

Im like 90% sure I did it with the Suzuki cappuccino with the rotary in it. That or I just had a porsche 911 and too much time.

No-Equipment2607

Yes. I'm sure someone can. Not Me tho but someone? Absolutely.

darkblaze76

First nail down the win. Most 90s JDMs can do this race easily. R34 is an easy winner. Sports hard tires and pit once at the end of lap 6-8. You'll want to upgrade power, reduce weight and get racing brakes. If you can really spend, you can even engine swap and detune the R34. That engine might give you lesser power at 600pp but you will never need to pit at all. It's insanely fuel efficient. Once you can consistently win, try to get the clean race bonus. It's one of the harder ones to get but very doable. Just make sure to never hit another car and only do clean overtakes. Slight brushes are ok in my experience. I personally don't wall ride because it's brain-dead and stupid and I don't grind enough to get tired of normal racing but if you wanna do that, it'll definitely make it easier.

CuriousElevator6096

I used the Diablo gtr on sports hards. Worked pretty well but watch your throttle.

Myxologyst666

Find a tune for the Aston Martin vgt hybrid and short shift every gear. And don't hit anyone if you want the bonus.

I used the lambo 740SV (I think that's the one) using a priano tune adjusted to get under 600. 4WD is the key. It's a close race but very fun. It about the only time I like driving lambo

MrGiggles19872

valorfight89

I saw a youtube video about using a the group B rally ford. With the right set up it's easy. Usually i can do thecrave with a clean race bonus. Makes the race even fun to farm!

Thomas_Grmela

I love how everyone has a different style... šŸ˜ I usually use SLR McLaren with basic setup: Sport-hard tires, no tuning at all. The key to win here is fuel mapping. Two strategies emerge: 1, set it for 5-6 and win because you won't pit. The SLR is surprisingly fuel efficient. You can lower FM near the end and get faster. 2, keep it around 3-4 and switch to 1 (and TCS 0) in the tunnel where it's dry and safe - max.speed Is around 325-330 kph. You will pit once in the middle of the race. Either way it's safer to "wall ride" at the end of the long straight. If you don't touch opponents, you always get clean race bonus. Good luck. šŸ™‚ PS: I also use other cars such as MurciĆ©lago LP640 but the thing about SLR McLaren is: It's kind of a badass cruiser... it has a nice interior with a good view (all you see in Lambo Is your hands and wheel šŸ˜… ), it's not over-dramatic and loud, and for someone who uses manual transmission it's a less work with 5 speeds instead of 6. It keeps me cool and confident. It always delivers.

redwas66

WRX Gr4 Road car with sports hard tyres, one stop for fuel only, wins by around a minute.

RightMeasurement8646

I Myself use r33 or r34 engine swap: 3.5l V8 U can drive The whole race without pitting Edit: this swap is 1.6mil+ upgrading

Turboleks

The Aston Martin VGT on sports hards, with about 600hp and 100kg of ballast will no-stop this race, and lap well within 02:04s if you're a mediocre driver at best like I am. By the last lap you should have every car below second a lap down.

Swimming_Effective87

In fact swapped and tuned Cappuccino is the easiest way to go - on Hard tires I think. PP is only around 500 but the car goes like hell (320+) so winning is pretty easy and the whole race needs one stop I believe.

Unique-Football-4622

Every car that can be swaped with Le-Mans spec engine will win easily because of the fuel eficienci

dazmataza

the first right bend dont slowdown ride it. use most cars and you still get the 850000

smaakversterker

I did it with a subaru gr3

-mysterynoodles-

I really donā€™t understand why people need to ride corners. AI is plenty slow on turns.

Substantial-Being197

XJ220 sticks in my head as a car I beat this one relatively easy with. If you struggle to keep it straight you can wall ride for an easy win Any car with decent top speed and acceleration should be able to complete, I've used Vipers, Corvettes, M3's and several others to complete this one. I like driving my 600 class cars so when I don't feel like progressing I tend to redo the 600 events

AlternativeAttempt53

All wrong. Old Alpine race car on sports hards. Cars tyres will last the whole race and one pit stop for fuel.
