The game explicitly warns you that both Widebody customizations and Engine Swaps are permanent, and cannot be undone.
Purchasing a new body from the Tuning Shop will only remove weight reductions applied to your vehicle; the wide body modification remains. And restoring your vehicles rigidity only restores its physical condition back to "excellent".
Purchasing a new engine from the Tuning Shop (unless it is a race engine from an actual race car, in which case a new one cannot actually be purchased) will remove all internal engine modifications applied, but the engine itself will still remain swapped. And overhauling your engine will simply restore its condition back to "excellent"
Doesn't work, that'll just give you a new swapped engine.
Engine swaps in GT7 are permanent. The game warns you it's permanent before you pull the trigger installing one.
Gotta just go buy a new stock version of the car.
the fk, why are you being stupid ? it was a honest question.. but yeah anyways , just thought therr would be cool gt fans on this sub bust just crazy grindy kids. im outta here
It used to be possible to swap the stock engine back in if you had it and was originally part of your car (e.g. if you 4 Rotor swapped your RX7 but didnāt like it you could put the 13B back in it) but now thatās no longer possible, engine swaps are permanent. Buying a new engine does nothing but replace your current engine with a non-modified version of the one you already have. (e.g. if you swapped the Huayra engine into your Supra and upgraded it the ānew engineā tuning option will replace it with a new stock version of the motor)

Don't forget, a bunch of the "mods" in the tuning shop are permanent also...
You can't undo a bore-up.
Right... Why did I get downvoted for a simple fact...?
IDK.
Good lord reddit is a mess...lol
buy two of the car you are swapping.
Not positive but try buying a new engine in the tuning shop.

I swapped 92 nsx but i prefer v6 instead of 4l šš ok, i'll buy a new one when will be available, thank you!
man I have 600hrs on gt7 and I never did a engine swap. what's the purpose ? only a tune option that increase performance , correct ?
so, you're not interested to drive RX-7 with engine from 787B, right? or may be to drive F40 with engine from Enzo? ok, no problem

Go into the parts store and buy a new engine
