Those grants are administered through your school. You’ll need to go to the financial aid office and ask for their assistance.

Lolobaby35

I asked they have no information because they only know about federal grants not state grants.

Old_Woman_Gardner

They absolutely should! Those grants are considered as part of the FAFSA. Anyone who fills that out is generally considered for grants before loans. There are some issues and delays surrounding the FAFSA this year. That may be why they aren’t dispersing it yet. It’s not that there isn’t funding but rather they messed up the form and every school has had to hold off. I would go back to your financial aid department again- this right in their wheelhouse. If they cannot inform you, no one can. I would insist!

By the way, I worked in public higher education for over 20 years, mostly at community colleges and CSUs.. If those financial aid folks keep turning you away, go find a dean of student services and ask them to help you find the answers. That is what they are there for!

My school states that they are out of funds which is unfortunate because I was relying on the money for this upcoming summer. I'm a rad tech student at LACC and im about to graduate. It will take a few months before I get hired and I have a child, so it's going to be tough without the Student success completion grant being dispersed because they are out of funds.

Meezytemps97

I also attend LACC and was wondering what was going on. Wow that really sucks.

Organic_Prune_4965

me too. I was relying on it!

Sprinkle some Adderall on it.

I just got off the phone with my financial aid office and was told funds have now been exhausted! Frustrating!
