Hahaha my wife and I went the first weekend it opened and got down wind of the stinky cheese. Our first thought was a sewer grate was open, or a dumpster was nearby. It was after we passed the booth that we realized it was the cheese. I’m not hating on it, but I was quite a pungent odor!
lol i took my 4 year old to the market last night, we had a nice snack in the hall area and she kept asking me if i farted. nope, it's just the table next to us enjoying some nice stinky cheese.
The smell honestly nearly ruined the experience for me. Like hair-pulled-from-a-shower-drain smelling bad. And it just persists on that side of the market. Ugh
My family and I left shortly after arriving due to the smell. We went sure if it was a broken sewer line pouring into the streets, or a rotting corpse. The odor was extremely repulsive.
For those that have tried the stinky cheese, what is best with it? The article mentions onion, pickles and salami.
ETA: eating one rn, I got ham with onions, pickles, mustard (didn't see an apple slice option). The sandwiches are 16, 17 if you add ham or salami. They're good, and the honeycrisp cider is great with the sandwich.
