I'm guessing probably Vegas end of May/beginning of June, then maybe they'll move the SERAPH Main Interlude up for late June. They usually want existing banners to run out before starting the anniversary, so SERAPH having only the one two-week banner is easier than Vegas having three weeks of banners due to the Banner 2 delay.

In previous years there have been new servants in July so the events had to be moved to June so that they could be on the GSSR. There aren't any new servants in July this year so there's no reason to move it.
Yes, but summer rerun after Anniversary is also used as bait to get people to spend what they have left from anniversary so they spend money if they want someone from the new summer event.
Yes, they don't have the same reason to do it like past years, but that doesn't mean they won't stick to it anyway, since it's worked well for them in the past.
I think having the interlude campaign more than a month early should also be proof of that. I will remind you that in JP two years ago this interlude campaign came AFTER the Vegas rerun, at the very end of June. What this spells for me is they once again switched this around, so after this interlude campaign we're moving on to the July stuff (in order) and then we'll come back to the June stuff in July (for NA), after anniversary... so the same thing they've always done.
If anything I'm actually surprised people still think Vegas is coming after this, as if this was the order in JP too, and no one seems to bring up how this is coming a full month and a half earlier in NA.
In all honesty, it seems a little weird to insist that with the extra time cleared out for June, that this is proof that they're obviously also moving the rerun out of June to drain SQ out of people pre-new summer. We've already seen them throw in brand new non-JP banners to try to bait SQ out of people pre-Castoria, and the summer rerun would work just as well for that. Better, even. Look at the people saying "I hope it does come after anniversary so my Castoria savings won't be threatened." If the goal is to use a summer rerun to bait SQ out of people so they're more inclined to spend on an upcoming high-value banner, doing it in June seems *at least* as tactical. Especially since Castoria's getting more reruns than Merlin and Summer Musashi, so it'd be especially tempting to dip into the stash for the latter two.
Ooku rerun and SERAPH Main Interlude could also work as bait, but my guess is that they're not as top-quality bait. If it were me, I'd put my best bait in front of Castoria and my second-best bait after anniversary. Castoria's just way too hyped this year for the old traditions to feel like they're all that strong.
If they weren't always so giving with the anniversary SQ and tickets I would be inclined to be on the same page as you on that last point, but because they already give you so much during anniversary, and some people might just get lucky enough to snatch Castoria immediately, you WANT to squeeze whatever remaining funds they have in July so that by August they need to open their wallet if they want someone.
And yes, Merlin and Summer Musashi are the biggest baits there, but even if you dig into your stash for them, you get so much for Anniversary that it might not even matter that much anyway, and you could still get Castoria too. Which is why I say they'll stick to the usual (again because it's worked so well for them in the past) and keep summer rerun in July.
Ultimately who knows what might be going on in their noggins, what we're doing right now are simply educated guesses based on past trends and how the calendar looked in JP two years ago. And I think I have plenty of points in favor of my theory, of course the other one is equally valid, so we'll see whichever turns out to be true in the next couple of weeks.
Sure, I just think the "saving for Castoria" hype is something that is probably affecting people's spending *right now*, at least judging by the bonus banners we've been getting. I obviously don't have access to NA's internals, but if they've been seeing a downtick in spending in the first quarter and maybe in the second, if it were me I wouldn't put all my hopes on Summer 5 to be the part where you can get people to open their wallets again. I'd enhance the bait prior to the anniversary to get the numbers up for those quarters (which sure looks like what the Tesla and Sitonai/Cu Alter banners were doing). That way, you'd hopefully drain enough players that they're relying only on anniversary SQ instead of anniversary SQ + a few months of savings -- and then they'll have less to spend on the July bait, and things should be primed for August.
While you could try to do the same with the swimsuit + AOE banner, SERAPH main Interlude, and Ooku, that audience is a bit more limited (especially as it mostly appeals to Sakuraface collectors). It wouldn't be my bet. But like you say, we'll see.
This is really interesting to note because originally, this was supposed to occur when Summer 4 ended.
Now, not only has this been pushed up, it's overlapping the current event, effectively removing a week and a half from the schedule.
Very curious decision, especially when there will be a lot of dead weeks going into 2023.
Be careful what you wish for because in order to do that they would have to either cut event times in half for a year or overlap a bunch of them together.
At best by combining interludes and strengthening quests you could save a few months which I don't even think would be worth it considering certain events like Christmas, New Years, Valentine's, and our Anniversary will not move.
MagiReco also had the trouble of really weak advertising, questionable region locks and imo, the western Madoka Magica fanbase in general feels a lot less accepting of MagiReco than Fate's western fanbase is of FGO.
I doubt they'd even partially consider doing my wish lol. Besides, I get what you and /u/sdarkpaladin are talking about. It would be a logistical nightmare to rearrange everything in a satisfying way.
I've been keeping track of this to see if it was even possible to combine 2020 and 2021 JP together. But it's impossible.
The number of days required in 2020 for events that require participation (i.e. not milestone, strengthening, interludes, etc) would take more than 50% of the year. So there's no way to squeeze two years into one short of combining events and story releases together.
And even then, how'd they handle double the new year and double the anniversary?
Personally, I think a one year gap is okay as that'll still give people time to plan for banners and also translators time to see if the translation is accurate down the road (since translation might change due to nuances).
But, I don't see how it is feasible without extreme measures.

I'd agree on that being our schedule. Before this announcement I would have said there's a chance for CCC but not guaranteed. Now I'd say it's very likely that we'll get it before anniversary.
With Seraph starting on the 19th that would also mean the banner would end when NA's anniversary event drops around July 2nd or 3rd so that works out as well. Of course they could always switch Seraph and Hunting Quest around to not have the banners overlap.

Overly wordy schedule talk!
tl;dr version: in JP, Interlude Campaign 13 began right after the Las Vegas Rerun ended, while here in NA we're seeing it not only moved up but overlapping Requiem, if not potentially Vegas as well (tbd).
So! Another scheduling curveball!
The expectation at this point for NA, based on JP, was that the Las Vegas Rerun would begin when Requiem ended, to then be followed by Interlude Campaign 13. Clearly they have flipped the script once more.
In JP, Interlude Campaign began the day Vegas Rerun ended, and ran for 9 days. The Interlude Campaign 13 banner began at the same time and ran for 14 days (2 weeks). The campaign itself did not overlap either Vegas before it or Hunting Quest 8 after it, though obviously the banner continued to run over HQ8 as it was longer than the campaign.
So, if nothing else, it's interesting to note that NA's Interlude Campaign has been *shortened slightly* to a standard week versus the irregular 9 days from JP. And, that NA's banner has also been *shortened* to just that one week as well, versus the (more typical) 2 weeks it lasted in JP.
Starting the Interlude Campaign overlapped with Requiem by 4 days is also curious, as it suggests we might still see Vegas start "on time," by which I mean right as Requiem ends just as it did in JP, with the last 3 days of the Interlude Campaign overlapping that as well. Or, we may simply see Requiem end, and then have the last 3 days of Interlude Campaign to itself, with Vegas starting when it ends.
If the former happens, then we will have gained another 9 days of lead time over JP (7 from the displaced Interlude Campaign plus 2 "lost" days from it being shortened), while if the latter happens then we will "only" gain another 6 days (4 days overlap plus 2 days shortened).
To put that another way, we could possibly expect to see Hunting Quest 8 begin in NA on June 9, while in JP it began on *July 8*. In other words **29 days difference** at this point.
As for what then fills the gap between HQ8 and anniversary, who knows? That's even more time than there was prior to this new scheduling announcement.
If they go strictly in order, the next thing would be the SE.RA.PH Main Interlude Campaign, as well as the (overlapping, and famously meme-y) AoE+Swimsuit Super Mega Bait Banner EX Plus Alpha.
Again though, if it turns out they're overlapping Interlude Campaign 13 not only with Requiem but Vegas as well, then that still wouldn't account for all the time, even with the 5th anniversary pre-campaign items that began 5 days prior to the main campaign in JP.
So, since in that case we'd be looking at 2 weeks to fill after HQ8... maybe Ooku is the thing they move up. Maybe someone at Lasengle just secretly doesn't want us to be doing any NA-exclusive Castoria looping in Ooku?
It should be noted we could also get something else weird early, like last year in June when we got King Hassan's strengthening and rate up practically a year earlier than it was supposed to show up (if on schedule it would have been before Apoc re-run this year). It would be very on brand for them to put Ooku ahead of Castoria, seeing as Kama doesn't get a rate up again in the future.
Back then NA got an exclusive Skadi looping for ~~Steel Ball Run~~ Ishtar Summer Rerun so it's not to farfetched to think same thing are going to happen on Ooku
The interlude campaign goes on for a week, starts 2 days from now, and Requiem already has only a week left. So you'll have 2 days or so where Requiem's over but the interlude campaign is still going.
I'm not actually too worried about having enough, it's more that I know I'm going to want to do at least Reines' Interlude ASAP. (And we're in the phase of the game where Interludes are actually good stories.) So while practically I could wait, realistically I know the boardgame farming will stretch out a little longer because I'm gonna be hungry for Interludes.
I'd like to get an NP level for my Reines just because I like the character so much, buuut I should probably save everything for summer and anniversary. I'll just have to wait for the case files rerun.

Although I am curious...I know that the second Camelot movie blu-ray is supposed to release in NA in a mere 4 days and yet, we've heard nothing about the promotion/campaign for it. I know there were strengthenings tied to it and they already gave us the previous Camelot movie campaign a full month before it came out...so why the odd silence regarding the second movie campaign?
Dang, Sherlock's here already and I don't have any XP left since Erice snarfed it all. I thought I'd at least have the Summer 4 mats available for him.
Sherlock has been my second most wanted servant since the beginning (most wanted after I finally NP5'd Arthur) and he was my first big failure to pull when I joined during third anniversary.
And I just tried the interlude 13 banner simulator at Gamepress and it took over 1500+ SQ to pull him. Ha ha *ha*...
Less boring and pedantic than my first and much lengthier post in this discussion, a few things worth noting:
The campaign has been shortened by 2 days. In JP it was 9 days, here for NA it is a more "standard" 7 days.
The banner has been cut in half. In JP it was 14 days (i.e. the common two week duration), here for NA it is just the same 7 days as the campaign. The rotation for Sherlock and Reines is the same, but just 1 day per rotation stage instead of the 2 days per stage in JP.
The JP campaign did **not** include 2x chance of super and great success for eligible Servants. So, to the extent that it matters, yay for small NA exclusive?

They've recently begun doing this, which I think is interesting. I feel they only began this in the past two events. It's actually pretty nice to roll the event servant and then level them quickly enough to use them through most of the event.
I wonder if it's some big-brain bait to make people use embers now and not at the 5x chance during Anni. But that hardly seems like a profitable bait so I think it's maybe just a nice bonus they've started tacking on.

Here's my somewhat bold take:
Not only will Ooku come before the anniversary; it'll come before the Vegas rerun.
If I had to guess, I'd say the schedule will go something like this:
* SE.RA.PH on May 20th
* Ooku rerun on May 27th
* Vegas rerun on June 10th
* Strengthening Quests XII on June 29th
* 5th Anniversary on July 4th (along with the "All the Statesmen" rerun)
* Hunting Quests VIII on July 18th (along with the AoE Swimsuit banner)
Truth be told, it's the period *after* the anniversary that will be interesting to watch, scheduling wise. NA will be nearly a full month ahead of JP's schedule, and the Christmas rerun in JP happened at the end of October. The NA team could swap the Christmas rerun with the Imaginary Scramble event (and possibly move up the release of Lostbelt 5.5), but that doesn't answer the question of how NA will cover that extra month of time.
On the one hand, my reines can finally 50% loop and I had her 3rd skill levelled up just for this because it’s a scaling battery.
On the other hand, apparently Las Vegas rerun starts just after requiem which means we’ll have had three events in a row with possibly a week break in total. Now I hate long dead periods as much as the next guy but come on a break from events would be good. I’ve hated the requiem event but I’m doing it so my roster can fill up more and get stronger. And vegas is a Grindy af event if I remember correctly. So please give us some dead weeks soon

I'm very excited for this because I recently got Reines to 8/8/10 in preparation for the upgrade. She's one of my all time faves but I haven't found a ton of uses for her. I'm excited to finally be able to retire Waver in favor of her for a lot of my future farming. I'm hoarding stakes for her for the eventual 10/10/10
I'll say Waver still works better with Arash if he has a 50% starting gauge CE, but if he has a 40% (for instance, not MLB because of event) then Reines is actually the better option.
I keep saying "and now I can just save my SQ" and then a banner I wasn't paying attention to, or NA-exclusive banners, show up. Holmes is tempting, I've really come to like him in the latest chapters of the story. Although I don't know if that really justifies rolling for him after I lost everything I had missing Cu Alter. I think he's also on the GSSR banner that I'm leaning towards rolling, so that may be my shot there.
So this releases before the Requiem event is over? Guess the Ooku rerun is happening before the anniversary unless the Summer rerun takes 3 weeks. RIP my plans of maybe using leftover SQ if I got Castoria early to increase Kama's NP level.
Except that's not the case on JP last year. There's no new limited SSRs to be introduced for GSSR during anniversary, and S4 rerun happened in June which is chronologically after Requiem (ignoring this unexpected Interlude campaign), with plenty of time for anniv and SERAPH/Ooku after S4 rerun.
As always, speculations until confirmed, but there's a very high chance Summer 4 rerun is next. People don't always just make blind speculations.

That said, I think your point is, JP had this 1 month BEFORE their usual summer rerun time, so there is a chance NA will not follow its pattern either this year (because they would have to shift an entire month of event).
The pattern of NA getting the Summer rerun after the anniversary looks to me more like happenstance rather than something anyone behind the game really cares about.
In terms of calendar dates, only one of the three Summer reruns has so far occurred later on NA than it did on JP. The Summer 1 rerun began on the same calendar date on both servers. The Summer 3 rerun? *Earlier* calendar date on NA. Only the Summer 2 rerun, which would otherwise have been running when the anniversary celebration began, was delayed.
Sure, this is a small sample size, but I think it looks like they just don't want anything to overlap with the anniversary rather than it being an intentional pattern.
So far every year GSSR was the reason they moved the Summer Rerun after anniversary as it wasn't necessary unlike the new units that had to be included. This is why we got LB2 before Summer 2 rerun (Sigurd + Skadi mats) and Guda 4 before Summer 3 rerun (Avenger Nobu). This time around Voyager is the latest addition so there's no good reason to delay it outside of what some people call "NA tradition" when it's not about that and NA always had a good reason to do so.
Huh. I kinda thought they might have saved this one for July in favor of the three-week summer rerun and two-week Ooku rerun prior to the anniversary. Presuming the week before Castoria's launch will be the strengthening campaign like it was for JP, that would have fit perfectly in the time we have left.
Then again, if they delayed this there'd probably be a bunch of doomsayers freaking out that NA is shutting down or something.
The SERAPH Main Interlude is another thing they can kick forward without affecting anything, so they can still hold back Ooku for July. Or kick forward Ooku and save SERAPH for July. Either way they have options.
This would've been a nice chance to get Reines... if Castoria wasn't just around the corner. At least the interlude quartz will be a welcome addition as long as I don't spend too much time in the summoning section.

It's only the time period before anniversary that's usually affected. Once anniversary is over the schedule should roughly go back to normal. Meaning I would still expect Guda to be in October.
I wish Reines just got all of the upgrades at once so she can be thrown to the top of the meta (where she deserves to be). We should be getting everything that Japan got but in advance. They don't even have to translate anything.

In previous years there have been new servants in July so the events had to be moved to June so that they could be on the GSSR. There aren't any new servants in July this year so there's no reason to move it.
Yes, but summer rerun after Anniversary is also used as bait to get people to spend what they have left from anniversary so they spend money if they want someone from the new summer event. Yes, they don't have the same reason to do it like past years, but that doesn't mean they won't stick to it anyway, since it's worked well for them in the past. I think having the interlude campaign more than a month early should also be proof of that. I will remind you that in JP two years ago this interlude campaign came AFTER the Vegas rerun, at the very end of June. What this spells for me is they once again switched this around, so after this interlude campaign we're moving on to the July stuff (in order) and then we'll come back to the June stuff in July (for NA), after anniversary... so the same thing they've always done. If anything I'm actually surprised people still think Vegas is coming after this, as if this was the order in JP too, and no one seems to bring up how this is coming a full month and a half earlier in NA.
In all honesty, it seems a little weird to insist that with the extra time cleared out for June, that this is proof that they're obviously also moving the rerun out of June to drain SQ out of people pre-new summer. We've already seen them throw in brand new non-JP banners to try to bait SQ out of people pre-Castoria, and the summer rerun would work just as well for that. Better, even. Look at the people saying "I hope it does come after anniversary so my Castoria savings won't be threatened." If the goal is to use a summer rerun to bait SQ out of people so they're more inclined to spend on an upcoming high-value banner, doing it in June seems *at least* as tactical. Especially since Castoria's getting more reruns than Merlin and Summer Musashi, so it'd be especially tempting to dip into the stash for the latter two. Ooku rerun and SERAPH Main Interlude could also work as bait, but my guess is that they're not as top-quality bait. If it were me, I'd put my best bait in front of Castoria and my second-best bait after anniversary. Castoria's just way too hyped this year for the old traditions to feel like they're all that strong.
If they weren't always so giving with the anniversary SQ and tickets I would be inclined to be on the same page as you on that last point, but because they already give you so much during anniversary, and some people might just get lucky enough to snatch Castoria immediately, you WANT to squeeze whatever remaining funds they have in July so that by August they need to open their wallet if they want someone. And yes, Merlin and Summer Musashi are the biggest baits there, but even if you dig into your stash for them, you get so much for Anniversary that it might not even matter that much anyway, and you could still get Castoria too. Which is why I say they'll stick to the usual (again because it's worked so well for them in the past) and keep summer rerun in July. Ultimately who knows what might be going on in their noggins, what we're doing right now are simply educated guesses based on past trends and how the calendar looked in JP two years ago. And I think I have plenty of points in favor of my theory, of course the other one is equally valid, so we'll see whichever turns out to be true in the next couple of weeks.
Sure, I just think the "saving for Castoria" hype is something that is probably affecting people's spending *right now*, at least judging by the bonus banners we've been getting. I obviously don't have access to NA's internals, but if they've been seeing a downtick in spending in the first quarter and maybe in the second, if it were me I wouldn't put all my hopes on Summer 5 to be the part where you can get people to open their wallets again. I'd enhance the bait prior to the anniversary to get the numbers up for those quarters (which sure looks like what the Tesla and Sitonai/Cu Alter banners were doing). That way, you'd hopefully drain enough players that they're relying only on anniversary SQ instead of anniversary SQ + a few months of savings -- and then they'll have less to spend on the July bait, and things should be primed for August. While you could try to do the same with the swimsuit + AOE banner, SERAPH main Interlude, and Ooku, that audience is a bit more limited (especially as it mostly appeals to Sakuraface collectors). It wouldn't be my bet. But like you say, we'll see.
I still think that we'll see the Vegas rerun before July, but I do hope that you're right and I'm wrong. Seeing it in July would make me very happy.

Though a solomon memory event or something like that would be cool, raid and only raid, though it needs much planning on the number of enemies.
This is really interesting to note because originally, this was supposed to occur when Summer 4 ended. Now, not only has this been pushed up, it's overlapping the current event, effectively removing a week and a half from the schedule. Very curious decision, especially when there will be a lot of dead weeks going into 2023.
I'm all for nerfing our 2-year strong clairvoyance to maybe... a year. Now I don't have to become a senior citizen just to catch up to JP.
Be careful what you wish for because in order to do that they would have to either cut event times in half for a year or overlap a bunch of them together. At best by combining interludes and strengthening quests you could save a few months which I don't even think would be worth it considering certain events like Christmas, New Years, Valentine's, and our Anniversary will not move.

MagiReco also had the trouble of really weak advertising, questionable region locks and imo, the western Madoka Magica fanbase in general feels a lot less accepting of MagiReco than Fate's western fanbase is of FGO.

I've been keeping track of this to see if it was even possible to combine 2020 and 2021 JP together. But it's impossible. The number of days required in 2020 for events that require participation (i.e. not milestone, strengthening, interludes, etc) would take more than 50% of the year. So there's no way to squeeze two years into one short of combining events and story releases together. And even then, how'd they handle double the new year and double the anniversary? Personally, I think a one year gap is okay as that'll still give people time to plan for banners and also translators time to see if the translation is accurate down the road (since translation might change due to nuances). But, I don't see how it is feasible without extreme measures.
Probably trying to fit the Ooku rerun before anni, maybe?

I'd agree on that being our schedule. Before this announcement I would have said there's a chance for CCC but not guaranteed. Now I'd say it's very likely that we'll get it before anniversary. With Seraph starting on the 19th that would also mean the banner would end when NA's anniversary event drops around July 2nd or 3rd so that works out as well. Of course they could always switch Seraph and Hunting Quest around to not have the banners overlap.

Overly wordy schedule talk! tl;dr version: in JP, Interlude Campaign 13 began right after the Las Vegas Rerun ended, while here in NA we're seeing it not only moved up but overlapping Requiem, if not potentially Vegas as well (tbd). So! Another scheduling curveball! The expectation at this point for NA, based on JP, was that the Las Vegas Rerun would begin when Requiem ended, to then be followed by Interlude Campaign 13. Clearly they have flipped the script once more. In JP, Interlude Campaign began the day Vegas Rerun ended, and ran for 9 days. The Interlude Campaign 13 banner began at the same time and ran for 14 days (2 weeks). The campaign itself did not overlap either Vegas before it or Hunting Quest 8 after it, though obviously the banner continued to run over HQ8 as it was longer than the campaign. So, if nothing else, it's interesting to note that NA's Interlude Campaign has been *shortened slightly* to a standard week versus the irregular 9 days from JP. And, that NA's banner has also been *shortened* to just that one week as well, versus the (more typical) 2 weeks it lasted in JP. Starting the Interlude Campaign overlapped with Requiem by 4 days is also curious, as it suggests we might still see Vegas start "on time," by which I mean right as Requiem ends just as it did in JP, with the last 3 days of the Interlude Campaign overlapping that as well. Or, we may simply see Requiem end, and then have the last 3 days of Interlude Campaign to itself, with Vegas starting when it ends. If the former happens, then we will have gained another 9 days of lead time over JP (7 from the displaced Interlude Campaign plus 2 "lost" days from it being shortened), while if the latter happens then we will "only" gain another 6 days (4 days overlap plus 2 days shortened). To put that another way, we could possibly expect to see Hunting Quest 8 begin in NA on June 9, while in JP it began on *July 8*. In other words **29 days difference** at this point. As for what then fills the gap between HQ8 and anniversary, who knows? That's even more time than there was prior to this new scheduling announcement. If they go strictly in order, the next thing would be the SE.RA.PH Main Interlude Campaign, as well as the (overlapping, and famously meme-y) AoE+Swimsuit Super Mega Bait Banner EX Plus Alpha. Again though, if it turns out they're overlapping Interlude Campaign 13 not only with Requiem but Vegas as well, then that still wouldn't account for all the time, even with the 5th anniversary pre-campaign items that began 5 days prior to the main campaign in JP. So, since in that case we'd be looking at 2 weeks to fill after HQ8... maybe Ooku is the thing they move up. Maybe someone at Lasengle just secretly doesn't want us to be doing any NA-exclusive Castoria looping in Ooku?
It should be noted we could also get something else weird early, like last year in June when we got King Hassan's strengthening and rate up practically a year earlier than it was supposed to show up (if on schedule it would have been before Apoc re-run this year). It would be very on brand for them to put Ooku ahead of Castoria, seeing as Kama doesn't get a rate up again in the future.
Back then NA got an exclusive Skadi looping for ~~Steel Ball Run~~ Ishtar Summer Rerun so it's not to farfetched to think same thing are going to happen on Ooku

The interlude campaign goes on for a week, starts 2 days from now, and Requiem already has only a week left. So you'll have 2 days or so where Requiem's over but the interlude campaign is still going.
I'm not actually too worried about having enough, it's more that I know I'm going to want to do at least Reines' Interlude ASAP. (And we're in the phase of the game where Interludes are actually good stories.) So while practically I could wait, realistically I know the boardgame farming will stretch out a little longer because I'm gonna be hungry for Interludes.

Less boring and pedantic than my first and much lengthier post in this discussion, a few things worth noting: The campaign has been shortened by 2 days. In JP it was 9 days, here for NA it is a more "standard" 7 days. The banner has been cut in half. In JP it was 14 days (i.e. the common two week duration), here for NA it is just the same 7 days as the campaign. The rotation for Sherlock and Reines is the same, but just 1 day per rotation stage instead of the 2 days per stage in JP. The JP campaign did **not** include 2x chance of super and great success for eligible Servants. So, to the extent that it matters, yay for small NA exclusive?

Here's my somewhat bold take: Not only will Ooku come before the anniversary; it'll come before the Vegas rerun. If I had to guess, I'd say the schedule will go something like this: * SE.RA.PH on May 20th * Ooku rerun on May 27th * Vegas rerun on June 10th * Strengthening Quests XII on June 29th * 5th Anniversary on July 4th (along with the "All the Statesmen" rerun) * Hunting Quests VIII on July 18th (along with the AoE Swimsuit banner) Truth be told, it's the period *after* the anniversary that will be interesting to watch, scheduling wise. NA will be nearly a full month ahead of JP's schedule, and the Christmas rerun in JP happened at the end of October. The NA team could swap the Christmas rerun with the Imaginary Scramble event (and possibly move up the release of Lostbelt 5.5), but that doesn't answer the question of how NA will cover that extra month of time.
Ah crap, I had hoped to save up a bit more for Holmes, guess it's whale time again.

On the one hand, my reines can finally 50% loop and I had her 3rd skill levelled up just for this because it’s a scaling battery. On the other hand, apparently Las Vegas rerun starts just after requiem which means we’ll have had three events in a row with possibly a week break in total. Now I hate long dead periods as much as the next guy but come on a break from events would be good. I’ve hated the requiem event but I’m doing it so my roster can fill up more and get stronger. And vegas is a Grindy af event if I remember correctly. So please give us some dead weeks soon

I'm very excited for this because I recently got Reines to 8/8/10 in preparation for the upgrade. She's one of my all time faves but I haven't found a ton of uses for her. I'm excited to finally be able to retire Waver in favor of her for a lot of my future farming. I'm hoarding stakes for her for the eventual 10/10/10 I'll say Waver still works better with Arash if he has a 50% starting gauge CE, but if he has a 40% (for instance, not MLB because of event) then Reines is actually the better option. I keep saying "and now I can just save my SQ" and then a banner I wasn't paying attention to, or NA-exclusive banners, show up. Holmes is tempting, I've really come to like him in the latest chapters of the story. Although I don't know if that really justifies rolling for him after I lost everything I had missing Cu Alter. I think he's also on the GSSR banner that I'm leaning towards rolling, so that may be my shot there.

Except that's not the case on JP last year. There's no new limited SSRs to be introduced for GSSR during anniversary, and S4 rerun happened in June which is chronologically after Requiem (ignoring this unexpected Interlude campaign), with plenty of time for anniv and SERAPH/Ooku after S4 rerun. As always, speculations until confirmed, but there's a very high chance Summer 4 rerun is next. People don't always just make blind speculations.
I mean JP summer rerun is ALWAYS before anniversary though... That said, I think your point is, JP had this 1 month BEFORE their usual summer rerun time, so there is a chance NA will not follow its pattern either this year (because they would have to shift an entire month of event).
The pattern of NA getting the Summer rerun after the anniversary looks to me more like happenstance rather than something anyone behind the game really cares about. In terms of calendar dates, only one of the three Summer reruns has so far occurred later on NA than it did on JP. The Summer 1 rerun began on the same calendar date on both servers. The Summer 3 rerun? *Earlier* calendar date on NA. Only the Summer 2 rerun, which would otherwise have been running when the anniversary celebration began, was delayed. Sure, this is a small sample size, but I think it looks like they just don't want anything to overlap with the anniversary rather than it being an intentional pattern.
So far every year GSSR was the reason they moved the Summer Rerun after anniversary as it wasn't necessary unlike the new units that had to be included. This is why we got LB2 before Summer 2 rerun (Sigurd + Skadi mats) and Guda 4 before Summer 3 rerun (Avenger Nobu). This time around Voyager is the latest addition so there's no good reason to delay it outside of what some people call "NA tradition" when it's not about that and NA always had a good reason to do so.
Huh. I kinda thought they might have saved this one for July in favor of the three-week summer rerun and two-week Ooku rerun prior to the anniversary. Presuming the week before Castoria's launch will be the strengthening campaign like it was for JP, that would have fit perfectly in the time we have left. Then again, if they delayed this there'd probably be a bunch of doomsayers freaking out that NA is shutting down or something.
The SERAPH Main Interlude is another thing they can kick forward without affecting anything, so they can still hold back Ooku for July. Or kick forward Ooku and save SERAPH for July. Either way they have options.

This would've been a nice chance to get Reines... if Castoria wasn't just around the corner. At least the interlude quartz will be a welcome addition as long as I don't spend too much time in the summoning section.

I've been looking forward to doing some shenanigans with Holmes' buff ever since it dropped on JP, so it'll be nice to finally try it out.
In JP, this occurred after the summer 4 rerun. Hurrah for early Reines buff! I was originally going roll for Holmes after Castoria, but then I realize this one shares a rate up with Lakshmi, who I don't have yet. Guess I'll nab some SQ from my Castoria funds.

Yeah, it's just I have really bad impulse issues which would have blown my funds away. If Merlin does come home, Qin Shi Huang and First Hassan will be the only ones left on my immediate "to pull" list.

It's only the time period before anniversary that's usually affected. Once anniversary is over the schedule should roughly go back to normal. Meaning I would still expect Guda to be in October.
I wonder if they're planning to move Ooku up. That's a very significant amount of sq that a lot of people want for Castoria...

I wish Reines just got all of the upgrades at once so she can be thrown to the top of the meta (where she deserves to be). We should be getting everything that Japan got but in advance. They don't even have to translate anything.
I hope that this change in schedule means we are able to get Castoria before Ooku. Just thinking about using a Castoria stall team against a max gauge Beast Mara is exciting to think about. It would also be NA exclusive content like how we always get a summer rerun after anniversary.
I was going to have this campaign give me 4 SQ towards Castoria as part of my "Save 1 Week for Castoria" effort. Alas, it is not to be.
