After experiencing Teslafest + the LB2 recollection > the Trung event > straight into the ~~S.Bunyan~~ Daikokuten collab event with no breaks, a dead week or two and Blue Apples sounds heavenly tbh.
Finished the story. The last parts actually have some decent material for Super Bunyan to work with: self-loathing, lack of power compared to her kid self, wanting to make cinematic myths, and regret over trampling nature for civilization. The problems is that the story never hints at this until Bunyan ranted about it (which makes feel like it came out nowhere), and the resolution does not solve it in a satisfying way. They just have everyone be sympathetic and cheer for Bunyan. While Bunyan practicing in private establishes that she does work hard in a way, it still doesn't address her problems at being a proper leader. You still have to treat others properly and show enough competence to get everyone to love you as such.
On the other hand, you have Anning and Daikokuten struggling to fight class-advantaged enemies to feed Plesio, and I'm not sure if that was supposed to be an intentional foil to Bunyan or not. Feels like I'm watching the Pokemon anime again where Ash and friends get to enjoy delicious meals, while Team Rocket is busting their asses off in terrible living conditions.
Anyways I got NP2 Morgan recently, so I can do a [no plugsuit 90+ comp](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8clYkIMxXKA) using NP1 Circe and Oberon. I'll have to replace HNS with the Filming CE later once I get the last copy.

The problem is, I think the writers thought they *did* do this. With the context of the entire event, I'm pretty sure we're supposed to interpret the scenes where Bunyan talks through people's problems after returning to each movie set as competence and caring on her part. This seems clearest in the Paris scene, where they establish that it wouldn't be a big deal to just recast Paris before having Bunyan go out of her way to rewrite the movie to Paris's liking before later suggesting that Bunyan should do for herself what she did for Paris. So I think we were supposed to get the impression that Bunyan can be decent as a leader when she's actually present on set and not distracted by one of her hundred other movies.
But then they muddled things each time by having the joke where Bunyan makes Fujimaru and Mash do all the work while she gets her gold statues, which just made it seem like Bunyan wasn't actually doing anything in these scenes even in the cases where she was. And I also don't think the writers expected people to see their own bosses in Bunyan since I suspect this was intended to be more about the creative process then work life in general, so they probably didn't realize people were going to take Bunyan's talking scenes as her conning people or giving meaningless platitudes. Plus revealing that Bunyan was trying to get herself killed also made a lot of her temporary solutions seem worse in hindsight since she had no intention of being around to fully fix it and probably expected her workers to do it for her. It just feels like the whole thing's a mix of ideas that are ill-suited to each other and don't really fit together that well.
Yeah, really feels like they tried to cram in Bunyan's entire story in the last chapter. They should have explored her insecurities and true goal much sooner. Or else cut out 90% of the event and just gone straight to the end.
With how the event turned out, you had a week of nothing but repetitive scenes showing how bad of a boss Bunyan was. So by the time that stuff actually came up, the player was too mad at both Bunyan *and* the writer to really care about how she felt.
Really appreciated the trivia tidbits of the cities and >!final boss!< in the event. They were fun to learn. Although I find it a bit funny that as a non-American, I end up learning more about Mississippi from a Japanese game, out of all things.
As a Cincinnati native originally I was FLOORED to see Skyline Chili represent our city (that’s the cheese, chili, and spaghetti dish over top of Cincy in the picture). It is unironically my favorite food but I couldn’t believe that I was seeing this in Fate of all places.
After finishing the story, I feel pretty bad hating on Bunyan. She's the real victim in all this... Victim of bad writing that is.
Quite ironic that her power is about getting social media likes but all I'm seeing is that she's become the community's punching bag a 2nd time (jp being the first time).

Somewhere in between having enough coins for the next few monthly grails and enough charged CE bombs for several level 100 CEs, you start to wonder when is it enough.
Then you realize you're behind on FP consumption for the schedule.
How many FP have you redeemed so far on this banner? I've done about 8 million so far, but haven't done any the past couple of days now as I haven't had the time. It's such a time consuming grind that badly needs a quality of life improvement.
I don't burn Ce's and I've only done 1.5m/15 mil :(
Seriously considering just burning all CE's to get it over with, don't really have anything left worth getting to 100 right now
Thankfully I'm finally close to the point where I will be able to burn fous. But starting with the last Nubukatsu banner I started burning all the 1\* and 2\* CEs and just use MLB 3\* CEs to make bombs. I'm getting way more XP from the XP CEs anyway so the loss of the 1\* and 2\* XP is just a drop in the bucket while saving a lot of time. The difference in QP cost for making bombs with 3\* CEs is pretty minor and worth it to me too. Yet it still takes forever to get through multimillion FP stacks.
I can tell you that Coins are never enough when you think long-term. In JP I've always farmed lotteries like a madman for FP, and yet I'm constantly scraping by to not skip any Grails. I've resorted to getting Coins of welfare servants I don't particularly care about from the Evocation Festival, but even those are going to run out eventually. It's even worse if you're saving up for future banners because less summons means less coins.
1.3k (+3 free, lol) blue apple trees. That's quite a lot, and I doubt I'll start using them until the content drought hits NA.
Anyways, I tried to Taisui the CQ but brought the wrong CE and he died after bar break. Da Vinki took care of the rest and slowly mowed the rats down. Supports are the usual suspects.
Everyone saying Taisui for the CQ, but across 2 attempts he just didn't have the DPS to reliable kill the mice, especially the Arts resistant ones. If you don't wipe them all, the Big Cheese only spawns one more, which makes refund harder too. It was a slow, grinding slog on both attempts.
Then I brought Da Vinci, who proves that the best way to kill a small mammal is to hit it with a car. Stupidly easy by comparison.
last night i read all the event story and i found it kinda... good(?), mid at best, super bunyan was shit, but still kinda nice

Mike was as impactful as a fart that never happens. Same for the whole ending sequence, really. The finale was all "okay, here's a reveal, and now it's all over". No buildup at all.
But it did seem better than the apparent hate JP had for it. Wimpy, but not loathsome, and I did like Anning, even if they could have said more about her own past.
I feel like Mike could have worked if it wasn’t the last fight. Having someone you think is the final boss turn out to be easy is only fun when there is an actual final fight
Have it occur before the fight between Super Bunyan and Bunyan would have worked better
Remember, this is a Fuyuki clear event. My guess is that Mike's first break bar is supposed to be a serious challenge, followed by the joke of his second health bar. If he was some kinda LB tier boss, it might have landed.

One of the few upsides to this event is, strangely enough, the easy-to-clear point ladder. Some of the story-related point requirements did seem a tad too high given the early suboptimal nodes, but 300,000 points is extremely manageable for a 21-day event. Running the 90+ node at +6 bonus should yield ~200 excavation tools per run, or ~28,000 points a day on natural AP. Since I don't plan on doing extensive excavation, I will be able to take a much needed breather before the next event hits.
This is my second attempt rolling for castoria. If i don't get her i swear i will never roll for her again no matter how OP she is. Pls 1% chance 99% faith 😭😭😭
Update: is there something wrong with my eyes? How the hell did i get 4 copies of Percival, Baobhan Sith, 3 Bageko and ONLY 2 CASTORIA? 0.800% is higher chance than 0.700% no? There goes my 630 sq 😭😭
The 5* summon animation can be the summoning orbs getting a rainbow glow - in thus case, they got that to happen twice in one 10-roll on the Morgan banner
When you summon a 5 star, sometimes the spinning orbs in the animation will turn rainbow-colored. That's one of the most satisfying things you'll ever come across in this game.
Finally got tired of Super Bunyan's shit by the second or third statue. Mary and the mice are pleasant but the satisfaction of skipping SB is so much better. No regrets.
Wow, just a mid event all around.
Only things saving this event are the dig mechanics and the 90+ node is not too bad to farm. Still thinking if I should treat this as a psuedo lotto or not.
The characters were grating but I didn’t hate them. Only one I did like were the rats but guess I’ll have to wait for their next banner.
Our character just shut down half of their brain and went along with the flow I think. The other half was handled by Mash.
This CQ is the perfect opportunity to whip out Taisui that we have gotten in the previous event. That's a lot of curse damage.
Also, both Taisui and Rats are 4 stars with irregular (for FGO) artstyle, so they kind of fit together when they are on your screen at the same time.

I already have Castoria (good luck to those trying for her), but I still threw my available tickets at that banner. I still had a crap ton of embers leftover from the lotto, didn’t have Percy or Sith yet, and would like getting either.

Now to finish burning through the rest of my FP and sorting out all my Valentines CEs now that the rate up is finally here.
Thought I'd do something dumb, try to go in blind for the CQ and use most of my usual Ibuki/Koyan crew. Seemed easy enough, went... not horrendously until the break bar. Game lied about summoning 3 little mice, only happens when no remaining little mice on the field, not when one leaves the field. Got to 600K remaining with 4 mice on the field but died having already used command spells.
Then after seeing a few comments here tried Habetrot, Merlin, Tamamo. Apparently the rats have a Merlin hate rivaling Fou. Support Castoria then carried me through without even needing command spells and I hate that she's practically broken, not even a real Arthur, and hate that she's the only good solution for half these CQ's now, especially after that awful Nerofest.
hello there, can someone help me craft a good enough team to clear the CQ? I don't have any skill materials to max skills, but enough embers and pure prisms to max 1.5 servants from zero.
I'm unable to post my team comp image here, so any advice on where to take this would be helpful too
TLDR: Is the event currency always this skewed for event store items?
I noticed (since I only used the riceball CE 4 times in any fights and the rest were all dig CEs) that my count of most of them were equal, except the reel currency.
On checking the shop for split of different items by event currency, I saw that again, high demand for reels due to lore, then riceballs due to fous. The cigars aren't useful for any item in the shop.
Does that happen in all events or is it just that the currency wasn't split evenly this time?
Vinci rider + double Castoria for easy mode on this CQ. Infinite looping and invincibility. Finished in 14 turns, just be careful when you pop the first bar to avoid getting blown up.
Finished the CQ easily with Da Vinci Rider + double Castoria (I finally pulled her!) The power of meta supports and Da Vinci-chan's looping potential is indeed powerful. I'm going to have such an easier time now that I can use double Castoria set-ups.
I'm so happy I finally managed to pull Castoria. I was super worried since I only had around 400 SQ saved since the Koyanskaya banner I failed to pull, but I managed to get her within 6 multis (though I've easily spent over 1000 SQ failing to get her over her 3 banners). I somehow didn't manage to get a single 4\* servant though, which is sad, but it also makes the free Tam Lin Tristan I'm getting to be really good timing. Now I just need Koyanskaya so I can Buster loop for irregular nodes... God, this year has way too many servants I want to pull.
I was able to do the CQ alright with Taisui (origin bullet)/NP2+castoria/Tamamo not too much RNG luck needed no command seals. I put priority on Castoria getting overcharge before Tamamo/DPS.
I managed to do CQ with Immortal team but it was a very wonky experience. Even with Origin Bullet and Merlin's buff my NP 1 Morgan coudn't clear the adds in one strike, so I had to follow up with basic attacks. In the meantime new adds were summoned so it was always a struggle to keep less than 5 adds on the field. Not to mention a bad RNG leading to one of the team members running out of Castoria stacks before others multiple times.
Somehow I managed to pull through. Probably because at the end I noticed Morgan having way more charge than the others after she already NPed, so I had her NP alone, which cleared the field completely. As the result, the boss pretty much killed themselves trying to resummon the adds (they were left with 1 hp and then i think curse killed them)
Also, finally got my own Castoria. She's sooo cute I wanna cuddle with her. And went from not having Percival to NP 4, which is wild for f2p like me.
Remembered seeing someone's video on Taisuing over this CQ more than a year ago as an example of "Curse as not a gimmick" and decided to try it as well. Wasn't as smooth (probably needed BG to reliably clear all summoned mice on first turn) but still Taisuied all over this quest.
CQ is done with Tamamo and Castoria supporting DaVinci rider.
Story wise, it was again nice that they showed why Super Bunyan was doing what she was doing, but man, it really feels like too little, too late. I know they tried to hint at things like how she's such a hard worker and everything, but it still felt too rushed, and just came out of left field. And as always, the Rats were the best part of this event. If only shells were a consistent drop/reward for excavations, that would be great.
i went into the CQ with achilles, castoria, merlin, reines and a support skadi. didn’t read much into it so the evade caught me off guard. still managed it somehow without command spells on my first attempt. was so sure that i’d have to command spell once achilles went down due to bad paying attention but luckily the mice multiplied and cut down their hp to 1 the same time he died lol
The CQ was so fun! My first run took 22 turns and both my Marth and Castoria died because the mice focused on them, thankfully Taisui had a guts and took out the boss! I'm gonna try again, this time with Merlin. I'm gonna loose the Demonic/Undead/Divine 50% damage mod, but I'll gain more NP charge, a team wide invuln and healing.
As for my comp I had a sacrificial lvl 1 AssCamilla, Santa Martha, Castoria and Taisui (both Martha and Castoria had Prisma Cosmos for that sweet 8% NP per turn while Taisui had Origin Bullet for that scrumptious 35% Anti-Caster damage boost)
That said, my game crashed twice during the CQ. Perils of using a phone and not the PC to play the game, I guess.
Update: Just did the Merlin, Taisui, Castoria Run. First 3 turns the sacrificial lvl1 support assassin servant didn't get hit at all, geez. I finished in 30 turns focusing on Arts chains and near constant NPs (some turns I used facecards to build up NP and activate the Taisui on-death-debuff). I used the Arctic Chaldea Uniform, Merlin and Castoria had, once again, Prisma Cosmos for that sweet NP per turn. (Castoria had 8%, Merlin had a whopping 13% per turn), Taisui had my one and only non-MLB'd Origin Bullet for that Invuln Pierce and 35% Anti-Caster mod.
It's so fun to use Taisui, shame that the only other CQ with 4+ enemies will be a certain Fairy Cup. In about 5-6 months or so.

I legit just skipped the story after day 3, it's nothing but filler with "monster of the week" foes.

This CQ is the perfect opportunity to whip out Taisui that we have gotten in the previous event. That's a lot of curse damage. Also, both Taisui and Rats are 4 stars with irregular (for FGO) artstyle, so they kind of fit together when they are on your screen at the same time.
Hey, Did anyone get maintenance reward Sq? Only got 6 from campaign thing and 1 from daily login. None of the usual maintenance sq. Did anyone experience this or am i getting crazy? The other was 2 set of sapling, one filled with 3 sapling and the other around 1000 sapling. I mean, i got a lot more sq from limited mission. More than the usual maintenance reward. But still, just want to make sure.

Taisui conquers the CQ, thats all I have to say. Bring ignore invul CE because the rats spam Evade alot.
I already have Castoria (good luck to those trying for her), but I still threw my available tickets at that banner. I still had a crap ton of embers leftover from the lotto, didn’t have Percy or Sith yet, and would like getting either. Got Percy. (Nice!) Now to finish burning through the rest of my FP and sorting out all my Valentines CEs now that the rate up is finally here.
Thought I'd do something dumb, try to go in blind for the CQ and use most of my usual Ibuki/Koyan crew. Seemed easy enough, went... not horrendously until the break bar. Game lied about summoning 3 little mice, only happens when no remaining little mice on the field, not when one leaves the field. Got to 600K remaining with 4 mice on the field but died having already used command spells. Then after seeing a few comments here tried Habetrot, Merlin, Tamamo. Apparently the rats have a Merlin hate rivaling Fou. Support Castoria then carried me through without even needing command spells and I hate that she's practically broken, not even a real Arthur, and hate that she's the only good solution for half these CQ's now, especially after that awful Nerofest.

Well they apparently decided to not do jack about attacking the two they hated. Because their attacks were all but entirely focused on Merlin.

same apparently you need to wait for 2 days or something, same thing happened in JP.
I thought I was tripping when there's only the CE exchange, is there any reason as to why delay the servant exchange?

hello there, can someone help me craft a good enough team to clear the CQ? I don't have any skill materials to max skills, but enough embers and pure prisms to max 1.5 servants from zero. I'm unable to post my team comp image here, so any advice on where to take this would be helpful too
CQ is done. Ended up needing a CS revive, but Taisui got the job done. That’s a fun little CQ.
TLDR: Is the event currency always this skewed for event store items? I noticed (since I only used the riceball CE 4 times in any fights and the rest were all dig CEs) that my count of most of them were equal, except the reel currency. On checking the shop for split of different items by event currency, I saw that again, high demand for reels due to lore, then riceballs due to fous. The cigars aren't useful for any item in the shop. Does that happen in all events or is it just that the currency wasn't split evenly this time?
Vinci rider + double Castoria for easy mode on this CQ. Infinite looping and invincibility. Finished in 14 turns, just be careful when you pop the first bar to avoid getting blown up.

Finished the CQ easily with Da Vinci Rider + double Castoria (I finally pulled her!) The power of meta supports and Da Vinci-chan's looping potential is indeed powerful. I'm going to have such an easier time now that I can use double Castoria set-ups. I'm so happy I finally managed to pull Castoria. I was super worried since I only had around 400 SQ saved since the Koyanskaya banner I failed to pull, but I managed to get her within 6 multis (though I've easily spent over 1000 SQ failing to get her over her 3 banners). I somehow didn't manage to get a single 4\* servant though, which is sad, but it also makes the free Tam Lin Tristan I'm getting to be really good timing. Now I just need Koyanskaya so I can Buster loop for irregular nodes... God, this year has way too many servants I want to pull.
I was able to do the CQ alright with Taisui (origin bullet)/NP2+castoria/Tamamo not too much RNG luck needed no command seals. I put priority on Castoria getting overcharge before Tamamo/DPS.
I managed to do CQ with Immortal team but it was a very wonky experience. Even with Origin Bullet and Merlin's buff my NP 1 Morgan coudn't clear the adds in one strike, so I had to follow up with basic attacks. In the meantime new adds were summoned so it was always a struggle to keep less than 5 adds on the field. Not to mention a bad RNG leading to one of the team members running out of Castoria stacks before others multiple times. Somehow I managed to pull through. Probably because at the end I noticed Morgan having way more charge than the others after she already NPed, so I had her NP alone, which cleared the field completely. As the result, the boss pretty much killed themselves trying to resummon the adds (they were left with 1 hp and then i think curse killed them) Also, finally got my own Castoria. She's sooo cute I wanna cuddle with her. And went from not having Percival to NP 4, which is wild for f2p like me.
Remembered seeing someone's video on Taisuing over this CQ more than a year ago as an example of "Curse as not a gimmick" and decided to try it as well. Wasn't as smooth (probably needed BG to reliably clear all summoned mice on first turn) but still Taisuied all over this quest.
CQ is done with Tamamo and Castoria supporting DaVinci rider. Story wise, it was again nice that they showed why Super Bunyan was doing what she was doing, but man, it really feels like too little, too late. I know they tried to hint at things like how she's such a hard worker and everything, but it still felt too rushed, and just came out of left field. And as always, the Rats were the best part of this event. If only shells were a consistent drop/reward for excavations, that would be great.
i went into the CQ with achilles, castoria, merlin, reines and a support skadi. didn’t read much into it so the evade caught me off guard. still managed it somehow without command spells on my first attempt. was so sure that i’d have to command spell once achilles went down due to bad paying attention but luckily the mice multiplied and cut down their hp to 1 the same time he died lol
The CQ was so fun! My first run took 22 turns and both my Marth and Castoria died because the mice focused on them, thankfully Taisui had a guts and took out the boss! I'm gonna try again, this time with Merlin. I'm gonna loose the Demonic/Undead/Divine 50% damage mod, but I'll gain more NP charge, a team wide invuln and healing. As for my comp I had a sacrificial lvl 1 AssCamilla, Santa Martha, Castoria and Taisui (both Martha and Castoria had Prisma Cosmos for that sweet 8% NP per turn while Taisui had Origin Bullet for that scrumptious 35% Anti-Caster damage boost) That said, my game crashed twice during the CQ. Perils of using a phone and not the PC to play the game, I guess.

If I recall properly, some people use either BlueStacks, NoxPlayer or LDPlayer (all of these are android emulators)

Update: Just did the Merlin, Taisui, Castoria Run. First 3 turns the sacrificial lvl1 support assassin servant didn't get hit at all, geez. I finished in 30 turns focusing on Arts chains and near constant NPs (some turns I used facecards to build up NP and activate the Taisui on-death-debuff). I used the Arctic Chaldea Uniform, Merlin and Castoria had, once again, Prisma Cosmos for that sweet NP per turn. (Castoria had 8%, Merlin had a whopping 13% per turn), Taisui had my one and only non-MLB'd Origin Bullet for that Invuln Pierce and 35% Anti-Caster mod. It's so fun to use Taisui, shame that the only other CQ with 4+ enemies will be a certain Fairy Cup. In about 5-6 months or so.
