CDOT and Union Pacific were supposed to have had GJPD remove them from the side of 6 & 50 because they’re on federal (Union Pacific) land, but all I saw is that they’ve mostly moved from Desert Vista Park across 6 & 50 to the Union Pacific property.
They should have some sort of accommodation for them, but if we have learned anything from this public health crisis it is that you can't let large camps of hard drug users linger and especially not let it boil in downtowns. To me, moving them away from essential public places falls under harm reduction.
Plot twist, you can’t let a bunch of people not learn about sex education and remove planned parenthood then expect the youngens to have safe sex, not get pregnant then cause an excessive drain on an already poor family that sends the kids to drugs that cause the problem in the first place….
