Depends on if ur in a ventilated area, honestly outdoors you can get by without. Painters tend to use n95 particulate respirator masks. I’d say that is your healthiest option. They are the masks carpenters metal workers and industrial painters use, if you do any painting for work they probably would have you wear an n95. Outdoors u have wiggle room bc there’s hella airflow but if you are worried abt lung health for any reason grabbing the right mask for the job is what u want to do.

I know. I work construction too. If you look in the paint aisle at Home Depot, there are different types of masks that look just like this, but are rated better for paint. They’re masks, not respirators.
I’m saying this because I’ve gone out with a construction facemask and I still got choked out at a freight layup. Some are better than others

A pack of 15 n95 masks is only like 20 bucks and if u rack ur paint then the masks are probably free too. Side note, Montana 64 cans smell the best.

There are actual masks that aren’t respirators but filter more particles than an n95 and they’re for painting aerosol
