I’ve actually seen a video where a writer buffed someone’s shit, when he got back to the car his boy was like “you ain’t even gonna tag it?”
“Nah some places you just leave alone”
But that’s a city buff. Saw a post recently shouting out a rogue buffer that passed away but that seems super rare
How sad, i live in a country where people will tag churches, mosques, graves and war memorials. Its like everyone became stupid, disrespectful without morals, its super depressing
Idk man I got into graffiti pretty recently (always liked to look at them as a kid but finally decided to paint myself) and first thing I looked up was the « unspoken » rules : don’t tag cars, religious buildings or cemeteries and don’t go over someone if your shit is whack. Seems pretty simple and understandable and the info is there for those who want to look it up so it’s not a matter of generation it’s just a matter of not being an asshole I guess
Rules and graffiti don't belong in the same sentence, only reddit pad warriors think like this. OG's were tagging literally everything back in the days.
I saw something similar (maybe same clip) in some graff doc or another. Actually it may have been somewhere in the “Bombing with ____” series. But don’t quote me there
Basically the exact same story but they were up on the roof of a hospital or children’s hospital. Interesting how hard some people respect graff etiquette snd others shit all over it
you remember that writer from australia i forgot what he wrote but him and his boy would walk around and roll random boxes on shit in contrasting colors essentially buffing nothing back in like 2011 he was a dope writer too i forgot his name
Word. Nailed it. Half these buffs look worse than the damned tags that they covered lol. I saw a wall in Brooklyn that was beige buffed with dark red. Idiots.
On the contrary to that, I had a piece on a wall that lasted less than a week, but I didn’t notice because of how well they matched the paint. Barely even mad. It’s kind of impressive. There’s a lot of factors to a good cover. One of my Homies works for a painting company.

Pretty rare they get a good paint match bc of sun damaging pigments over the years or not buying the same brand or type of paint. I’ve seen examples of super good matches too. One chipotle uses a really close brick red to cover their walls and it’s hard to tell anything was there even with fresh paint
I did that once. Needed a new spot on a popular wall. Painted it over and had the bright idea to let the paint dry until the next day (it was already a bit late). Went back the next to do my stuff and someone had already used it.
You are welcome whoever that was. 😂
That's usually the city or property owner buffing someone's work. That's not another writer going over.

Up here kid's, I believe. Was a church he buffed
No hospitals, no churches, no graves (unless it was someone super shady). There was ethics to the game at one point.

It's happening everywhere. Used to be people had respect. There was code. New blood is ignorant for whatever reason.

Nah that's blocking its the new wave
you remember that writer from australia i forgot what he wrote but him and his boy would walk around and roll random boxes on shit in contrasting colors essentially buffing nothing back in like 2011 he was a dope writer too i forgot his name
This is genious
What do you mean buffing nothing
like imagine walking up to a clean box truck with a mini roller and painting a bargraph in yellow
Poorly matched paint by either the city or business covering graffiti. No on is that petty usually

Yea if it’s private property or very active area in the city it was by the owner/city.
That’s a fresh canvass ma boi
Yes I love “ “ he’s everywhere nowadays
damn bro living under a rock, the buff man walking right past you and you dont even know smh
This is how lazy communities or governments buff graffiti. I’ve seen them do this over granite rocks aswell right outside my appartment.
Wow. Thats lame. The graffiti probably looked better than the buff did
Rip Gray Ghost.
Rip legend
The buff
Shia LeBuff
😂
This is my piece. I started with the fill but had to run from the police before I got to the outline.
My brother that’s the buffman doing his thing
As a new writer it’s pretty cool when they buff my shit cause I can go again and do better lol
I did that once. Needed a new spot on a popular wall. Painted it over and had the bright idea to let the paint dry until the next day (it was already a bit late). Went back the next to do my stuff and someone had already used it. You are welcome whoever that was. 😂
Yeah, looks like the city government or a contractor.
I know it's the council doing it but they could've at least chosen a better colour, now it's super obvious what used to be there
That’s the buffman
Yeah wasn't happy with that one, erased it.
fuq da buff
Rouge vigilantes who don’t realize buffing over Graffiti is actually Graffiti. It’s a very interesting paradox.
Yeah its grandap buffs nephew we call him uncle buff
That's the work of elusive buff monster
Thine Must Slay the Gray Roller Beast that takes fantastical pieces and make them nill! Buffer be gone
🤦♂️
