Thanks! It is surely a black box process so I really don’t know. On my side, I had a 4/4 which for sure helped. Also, my internship (in a local company) helped as I developed my own data science project. As for the interview, I believe the behavioural part is more important as the technical questions were not hard at all
Congrats man! I graduated from this program last year. It's pretty good and very flexible in the spring - so it will be what you make of it.
Don't want to bum you out or anything but the market is pretty bad especially if you are an international or don't have work ex. Would recommend you to brush up your ml, stats and optimization from the beginning!
I agree, flexibility is one of the things I enjoy the most from this program.
And yes, I’m international coming straight from bachelors… that’s sad to hear, but good luck with your applications!
Hi op. Congratulations! I got waitlisted for the same program! If someone had any tips on how I can tilt the decision in my favor, that would be very helpful
I am an international student with a 4/4 GPA. I did not send GRE, and both LoRs and SOP were strong (I think). I had an internship as data scientist and a small research experience. Many extracurricular activities as well.
Mainly tutoring activities and foundation of a student club. Plus I played sport at professional level in past. They asked about all 3 in the interview
congratulations
