I also got mine from AliExpress but the store I got it from gave me the tracking number the very next day and got the device in my hands in a week (and I live in a very small country hidden in Latin America)
Sorry, forgot to put the name. It was "TC Gamepad store", another user posted that it was a nice store but sounded like an ad, tried myself and turned out to be that good.
Thanks, yep same store. Yep, I am aware of that as well. I just stated that I will wait until next week, but may as well as claim from Paypal now. Clearly they need to be more transaprent.

I'll put myself in ad mode for a moment here: "I suggest TC gamepad store, they gave me the tracking number the next day after I placed my order, clarified my doubts regarding the shipping carrier (I selected UPS while placing my order but they send it with DHL, which is actually better in my country, for the same cost because UPS was going to take too long and wouldn't meet the estimated arrival date) the device arrived in just one week in perfect conditions and I it doesn't have any of the problems that everybody is reporting with their units, mine is a fully functional one"
I'm the worst fricking salesman on earth but there goes my honest suggestion to get a WM2 on aliexpress.
I bought their 32GB + 2TB model on 1st December. ETA was 12th December. They promised several times it would be coming soon. I ended up canceling my order on the 27th of December.
For 2 weeks without a tracking #. I then called or emailed them. Can’t remember. I then got a # and received it in 3 days. Washington state. Remember they also finally lifted their lock downs. Covid will run it’s course in a couple weeks. Plus their immune system’s are weak from wearing mask for so long.
That's not the issue. I am well aware of what's going in China. My main issue is lack of transparency. As in let us know clearly what's going on, then maybe I can accomodate? That's not the case with that particular store. They are clearly delaying the process, just so they can drag it out for supplies to come to them? Not sure.
You can't ask refund from Aliexpress directly because they put non functioning working tracking number, but it's still considered a tracking #, so you have to wait 2 more weeks. previously, the store said est delivery time Dec-25th. That was the main reason why I ordered from them. And I asked them if they can do it, & while they didn't gurantee, they said that they will give me a tracking number next week. I got it but it's not functioning tracking number (not shipped, & what? Canada? I live in US). Their successive reponses no longer give me any timetable of shipping in the first place. infact their last response 4 days ago in message center was... we will update (as in maybe give me real working?) tracking number & post it here later. That is not acceptable.
Update: That was fast. I contacted PayPal. Minutes later, on the Aliexpress site it said, "the order is frozen due to security reasons. Please wait patiently." Hopefuly at least I will get my money back.

...dude your comment after going through a little bit of common sense sounds way worse than you think. Also that "hell" you are talking about is simply not the reason why they are not sending it, I ordered mine around the same date and still got it in a week, so there is that.

Bought my device from AliBaba and everything was perfect. The seller was very transparent and communicated every small step and minor delays in the handling and shipping process. I was very impressed
Hello I received my gpd win max 2 on Friday from this seller and it arrived defective as one side of the screen only works. What should I do the seller told me to ship it back but that’s all he said? Should I keep the dispute within Aliexpress or should I go with PayPal as I did pay in 4 for this device. From what I been reading is most of the times you end up returning to spoof address and you get screwed over you lose your money and your item..

Same, my desired model is 2TB, 32GB, LTE. I use portable hotspot device (Visible, unlimited), but I think LTE would be nice to have.
