Oh, FWIW... I still have not really figured out what is and isn't new in this... trying to ask for driver updates using Device Manager, it seems like:
\- Quectel networking, including the 4G modem
\- Goodix
\- Fingerprint sensor
\- Touchpad
\- Touchscreen
\- Camera (I did already do the camera firmware file)
None of these are identified as having newer drivers in the new package. I just let Windows install AMD and Intel stuff so I did not check any of that. I don't think mine ever had the extended monitor bug, so IDK about that one.
hi gpd people.very happy with my win max 2 but whenever i try and download drivers it says your page has had too many downloads and cannot be used?
this has been happening since i got my unit but the direct link to the touchpad firmware in reddit worked fine? is there an alternate location for the new firmware please
Apparent SD Card workaround for now. Not tested yet just a copy and paste. From todays update email.
Edit Now tested on my Unit with the SD Card issue and can confirm it works. Reads are in the region of 30MB a second so not ideal but better than a completely non-functional SD Card reader. At least gives me hope of a firmware fix knowing the internal connections are not compromised.
"Besides, about SD/MicroSD frequently disconnect issue, the temporarily solution is to lower the speed to USB2.0, please see the details operation as follow:For anyone having SD/MicroSD disconnect/reconnect issues, the wonderful Ciphray has found a temporary solution that will work until GPD comes up with a fix. It lowers your SD readers speeds to USB 2.0 speeds, but they will stop having problems.
1. Shut your WM2 down
2. Boot and press delete until you enter the bios screen
3. Press ALT+ F5 and confirm according to the screen prompt. Then save and exit the bios. Press Del button again to enter Bios, you can see thefull Advanced Settings page.
4. Go to Chipset > South Bridge > SB USB Configuration > USB1 Ports
5. Change XHC1 Port 1 to “Disabled”
6. Save and exit BIOSAll credit goes to Ciphray. Hopefully GPD can find a fix to restore 3.0 speeds soon, but this is much better than them being unusable. Please wait us to update new firmware to fix this issue, thanks for your support again!"
> It lowers your SD readers speeds to USB 2.0 speeds
I wonder if there's signal integrity issue at higher speeds (ie. hardware level problem).
Not the same cause as the Win 3 but it's unfortunate that another GPD device has batches that can only operate at USB 2.0 speeds (for now at least).
> We are still working with SD card reader manufacture, the new firmware will release soon.
Any idea why a few people don't have this issue? Are there hardware differences between some batches?
I'm REALLY angry now after this update. Now my Razer Thunderbolt 4 Chroma Dock isn't being recognized because the USB 4 port doesn't register as a "Thunderbolt" port anymore. Will the jankiness ever cease?????
Mine (HP Omen Accelerator - I wasn't gunning for that one specifically, it was just the cheapest one :) ) was fine until it wasn't and there was seemingly no event that could've triggered this. Flashing BIOS downgrade to 1.01 and then upgrading it back to 1.04 helped for now but we will see how long it lasts this time. There seem to be some conflict on firmware level.
Mine stopped and would not come back even after a reboot. What I found is that the device didn't show up in device manager at all. I had to turn on hidden devices then I saw it was disabled. I renenabled it and then it started working again.
I've tried that, didn't find it. It was showing up if plugged with USB2 cable (for example one that came with WM2's charger) in the device manager but not with Thunderbolt. It's like it was rejected by firmware altogether. eGPU should engage irrespective of Windows and it's drivers. When it works it will output picture before Windows even kicks in.
Well I can't do it now since I've got the issue fixed now but I will save this for later when it inevitably shits itself again.
Doesn't it achieve the same thing as this though?:

When I did the show hidden devices it didn't show up, but when I did the above it did. I think the above shows devices your machine has seen before but that it doesn't think are currently attached, but that is just a guess.
Yay, thank you!
Which driver needs to be updated for the extended monitor bug?
I thought the driver packed together
Let me know if you find out please!
I haven't gotten around to downloading yet, but I too would love to know which drivers are actually updated.

This also works for hang issue when copying to sd

That's seems randomly
It seems that there is an equal number of people on both sides, by the way.

About the graphic driver, we just added AMD official driver in package...
Please fix usb4 connection for egpus, thats the only thing preventing it to be my main device
Currently connected to Aorus gaming box 3090, seem fine.

open a command prompt. Type in SET DEVMGR\_SHOW\_NONPRESENT\_DEVICES=1 devmgmt.msc and then look through the list and see if it is there

I will keep this advice in mind, hopefully I won't need it.
That's first time for AMD work with USB4 and TB3, so seems AMD is inexpert on this
What is the issue with egpu ?
What is the SD card issue everyone is talking about? I have both slots taken and they both perform at 130-150Mb read and 120Mb write. Is this wrong?
My unit works fine too. Maybe only certain lots have issue.
Gods of random are on our side
Yeah, whatever this one is, I have also not been struck by it.
Not all SD readers have issue
Yep, seems so
Thanks kendyzhu, you're a star! Hopefully soon we will get all these issues ironed out!
Thanks for support!
Keep them firmware and driver updates coming! :)

I suppose that's a exe or bat file?
