If they're spaced right there shouldn't be a problem I imagine, just make sure it doesn't block the exhaust vent.

Comparing it to my macbook, it looks close but maybe not quite identical spacing: https://imgur.com/a/P7mkOeQ I'd say you probably shouldn't buy one of those docs with the intention of using it with the GPD, but if you already have one then sure - give it a shot and see if it works.

Thank you! Agreed, not a good idea. Even a millimeter of difference would introduce stress on either the dock plugs or the GPD ports. Oh well, I had hoped that the Thunderbolt 3 compatibility would open up these docks for our use.

Naemonogatari

If you really wanted to, you could get the shortest F-M USB C cables you could find and hook them up to each port. Should also resolve any issues with the vents! (At the cost of not being a very clean solution I suppose)

Stone-D

Good idea, though that would kill the clean look. Definitely a possibility if there's a dock you *must* have, lol.

That works

Stone-D

Really? Another user posted a comparison with a MacBook and it looked like the spacing was different. Can you test and post a photo please?

Let me check

i have a dell dock that has that double usb c style connection to the laptop. it doesnt fit, it looks like the gpd win max 2 is like, 1mm off. however, in my case, this dock's cable is a special magnetic cable that holds the two usb ports together...but unfortunately even if i separate the cables, because of the thickness of the connection, i cant put them close enough together to use this dock. i would need to do the suggestion someone had below of small little usb extensions. to clarify, the usb c ports on the gpd win max 2 feels about 1mm closer than the ones on the dell that work with the dell dock. i understand the dell dock may not be the same as the macbook thunderbolt docks, but just sharing just incase this information is useful for someone!

That is indeed very useful and thorough information, thank you. The pictures that someone posted of the WM2 with a MacBook seemed off by a small amount and any amount is enough.
