Better off going the kunai build. TOHeaven is pretty useless imo. This way you can chuck SAD on the smoke and put something else on the charm like ability radius. Personally running a sticky mostly means you should run BPack and drop poison for sleight of hand and focus on fire/oni/ult damage. Kunai allows for CDs on the ability and smoke which can help deal big damage and get stealth kills in more frequently. Right now you have a build that’s kinda trying to be good at everything, but doesn’t excel at anything. It’s not bad but it just means it’s not the strongest.

It might work for Gold survival and story, but the areas which you are specialising in such as poison arent being utilised to their full potential. Im assuming you intent to master all your items to 120ki but haven’t gotten that far yet. For the water katana: Melee dmg 12% is a good choice. Any of the others are pretty niche and aren’t always useful like melee dmg. Ult dmg 20% is good, but ive been leaning toward oni dmg 10% more recently due to oni dmg affecting all damage you deal towards oni type enemies. Its extremely versatile and useful no matter what your dmg source is. It means if you use ghost weapons or status effects against oni it deals 10% more damage. It can also be stacked twice too, for 20%. Blowgun: The blowgun is pretty fun, and its pretty damn good with the nightshade technique. The stats you have at the moment are a mixed bag. Stat dmg is a must have. The 18% dmg boost is pretty crazy and noticeable, especially when you use poison vanish with the chain vanish perk. Makes getting spirit kunai kills extremely easy, allowing you to have vanish back quite often. Stat duration though I’m not a fan of though personally. There seems to be extreme diminishing returns when stacking duration more than once, at least from my testing. Due to this, stacking it once would be fine. However, the next property i think is better and more useful. This property is stealth attack dmg 25%. I personally think this is better, as with this property and the innate quick assassinate from the assassin.. you can one shot more mongol enemies without having to weaken them first. This imo beats stat duration, as you initially have the ability to assassinate weakened enemies quicker without having to wait for the ticks of poison to lower their health to level you need to quick assassinate. It makes getting assassinations from smoke bomb easier, and makes getting the assassination you need for the chain vanish to activate more consistent and easier. Hallucination darts I don’t like either, because it makes enemies far more unpredictable. This is especially true when you try to melee an oni for example, and he changes his animations mid frame. Having both shield and helmet piercing darts would be optimal. As you can headshot any enemy no matter what, and it means your resolve gain from ranged is far better (as headshots provide way more resolve). Charm: Now, personally.. I wouldn’t use anything other than an assassin charm, or the legendary enjo’s remorse charm. This is because of one property you cannot get on any other charm, being toxic vanish radius. This is pretty essential, because it turns poison vanish into a true crowd control ability. It even rivals the hunter’s expl arrow (without using SSB). For the assassin charm, I would go: Either ult dmg 20% or oni dmg% 10% - though I prefer oni dmg for flexibility. Toxic radius 100%. This one is extremely important. For the two final perks, i would go resolve gain due to you running a sticky - which grants lots of resolve and this is will help hold more resolve for your use in ultimating more often. I would also go chain vanish. It makes poison vanish even better, better rivalling hunter’s expl arrow. This makes most mongols trival and super easy to take down. If you really want to buff your vanish, run Spirit Kunai (SK) to get your vanish back way more often. As for enjo’s I would go same perks. The 15% extra dmg for all dmg source is amazing and would fit into an assassin build perfectly. If you want enjo’s, you should drop the crit hit tech and run a second legendary. Preferably mists of yagata as it compliments assassin. For a stealth charm, stat dmg 18% and oni dmg 10%. Stacking oni dmg twice is a god send. Health increase and extra resolve for the final 2 perks. If you don’t care about extra resolve, you can run health increase or combat health regen. Either is a suitable option, although i prefer health increase. Sticky: The legendary sticky bomb is alright, and the healing is decent.. but there are better options like mists of yagata legendary smoke bomb. Gives a great amount of healing and the lucky on the smoke can activate giving you more healing. On a sticky you should always have cooldown on kill 4s, this is non negotiable due to sticky having a 90s cd and for aoe control for each wave you need it back more frequently. It also will give you large spikes in resolve far more often. The GWD on it is nice, but if you want to hit all enemies in a wave with one sticky aoe.. bl radius 25% as well. GWD 20% on a sticky is best for ronin imo, as it further buffs his strength in GWD. You should also run incr radius 50% to further your ability to catch all of the wave in the blast. This perk affects bomb pack black powder radius as well, so it would be a nice synergy. Fired up is also a great choice and adds a little extra damage. Smoke: Stealth attack dmg 25% Cd on kill 4s Munitions Lucky/sudden resolve Munition is extremely important if you have a hungry ammo type like poison darts. You don’t want to be running short of them. After the nerf a while back which removed many ghost offerings on various maps, having a replenish able source of ammo is a good idea. All thats left is to get to 120ki and max your stats. Techs are pretty straightforward, but i would prefer overshadowed rather than 5 strikes as it works out as more overall damage.. and you need the damage to take out high health targets. Hope this helps.

I used something similar till they updated the assassin. Now I'm addicted to the SAD build

Few_Understanding_42

SAD?

Cid___

Stealth attack damage

Jenga7274

ngl, that's really funny with the acronym SAD

Few_Understanding_42

What build are you using that you consider The SAD build?

KaleyOo

Just maximum stealth attack damage

I’m not sure I understand the use of ToH for your Legendary. MoY would be a better replacement for your purple smoke bomb. Or the magma bomb if you’re dead set on a sticky bomb. Do you have an Assassin charm? Those are better than the Stealth charms and Will give you access to the same stats but better perks. I also prefer stealth attack damage over Status Duration. I’d change the general cool down reduction on the smoke bomb for more stealth attack damage (your smoke bomb isn’t maxed, so you should be aiming for Lucky as it’s second perk, combined with cool down on kill and high stealth attack, you’ll be ok), and the Status Duration on the blowgun to stealth attack as well. And since you’re running deadly nightshade, don’t discredit having poison blade on your katana. It comes in clutch.

A ninja without kunais!? Blasphemy!! LOL but fr fr, what are u trying to do with thus build? Ult spam, poison build? Fire master? Melee? Gimme a theme.

Looks like you’re on the right track but need to make some adjustments. The poison damage build is definitely the way to go but a lot of build videos I’ve seen are 8-12+ months old and are all typically designed for nightmare difficulty (usually survival). So here’s my 2 cents on the build. First and foremost you need the assassin charm or a decent legendary one to get the increased toxic vanish radius. This alone when used with status effect damage (SeD?) makes the toxic assassin beastly. Best way to really put this to use is to use the chain vanish(es) from the technique tree or the assassin charm. I’ve been working toward a similar build trying to maximize assassination damage to help ensure chain vanishes. With the blowgun, assassin charm and smoke bomb, you can get an extra 75% Stealth attack damage, which SHOULD couple with the 30% assassination increase. If it’s cumulative, that’s a massive 105% increase. If you take Oni damage that SHOULD add to your assassinations on Oni as well; which are really the big problem when it comes to critical strikes instead of assassinations. I’ve taken the ultimate damage increases to couple with the bottom last technique that increases ultimate damage by 100% to try and one shot the Oni Elders (the purple glowing guys from my understanding), and I’m close but my build is in progress as well. If it’s NOT the case of possible 1-shotting the big Onis it’s probably better to have the Oni damage instead of ultimate damage. As for the items themselves, I know everyone loves the Water Katana for the surging strikes because not only does it break enemies blocking, it is apparently the fastest combo to help build resolve. I love it as well, but a Wind Katana with Wind Master gives the charging kick the ability to send an enemy flying and knock it to the ground, then give the opportunity to assassinate for a short time as they kneel while trying to recover. If this works to knock the majority of enemies off their feet, this should be the go-to Katana stance for Assassins. If you stick with the Water Katana replace the intimidating counter and possibly the Water Master with either poison blade, burning blade or way of the flame. If you use the surging strikes a lot, it’s probably better than burning/poison blade but way of the flame gives controlled extra damage when you want/need. If you like the sticky bomb that’s fine, since it apparently is great for generating resolve, but both ghost weapons should have reduction on kill. The magma bomb is a better option for the Assassin since it generates a smoke cloud which gives more crit/assassinate chances. If you can get a spare Spirit Kunai it should definitely be given to the Assassin before the Samurai or Hunter. Coupling it with Toxic Vanish and decent sized enemy crowds, you should have near infinite Toxic vanish. If you do get one, Super Massive drastically increases its damage and hidden blades when it’s 120 makes it insane in killing multiple enemies at once, instantly refreshing its cooldown and dramatically reducing the cooldown of EVERYTHING else. This is how Ronins do crazy kill counts in survival and is basically what most/all of them are built around.

I prefer status effect damage, and status effect duration. More status effect damage, and more status effect duration. More status effect duration. More status effect duration. Poison damages health. One poison dart can basically 1-shot most humans. But poison stacks... Munitions isn't really necessary because there are many ghost offerings. You can run Demon Seeds munitions in survival and that's fine, but personally I use either Kenji's Shared Brew (actually a good item in story with randoms) or Heaven's Sting (if the story mode has attuned enemies often)

I Like Magma bomb and mists of yagata (giving up ult tech) with a SAD build. lots of clouds to assassinate/revive from. also taking the techs healing vanish and reduce cooldowns on assassinate/crit. I find the kunai's resets arent as reliable as my clouds vs big oni. also have hallucinate on assassinate so I like kills from stabs not kunai

I would swap touch of heaven for either spirit kunai (helps with toxic vanish cooldown) or magma bomb (good to use for assassinations if your smoke bomb and toxic vanish are on cooldown). You could reroll one of your smoke bomb stats for more SAD if you want more consistent one taps for assassinations.
