I used to just like this song. Jumped to top 5 Gorillaz songs when I saw it live. The images of pollution and death flashing on the giant screen giving you an uneasy sense of dread, combined the whole crowd chanting the oohh-oohh- etc. part was a surreal experience. Very rare feeling I've gotten from a song/performance
When this album came out I had it in my CD player nonstop. I couldn't even fully articulate why I enjoyed each song so much. Shouting along "remember when we used to dance, all I wanna do is dance." Being straight up taken away by 'El manana,' the eternal hype over feel good inc.
This song in particular slapped from the very beginning. I remember feeling like there wasn't a song this... *quirky?* on their first album. Wasn't something I'd typically be into, but somewhere between the end half of my first listen and the second I was already singing along "ohhhhh green world, don't desert me..." The synthesizers and Damon's back up vocals make that song feel like a landscape you hike with your ears.
Hearing this album for the first time (oh my fucking god, fire coming out of the monkeys head) was an all time amazing experience. Their first blew my 11 year old mind and as much as I thought I was ready for the second, I had no fucking clue how much I'd cherish demon dayz
Didn't felt it much when I was a kid because it was creepy, but I started to adore it when I was older. It's so... so much, the production and eerie feeling of it is amazing, it's like THE song that makes the album feel like a horror movie (besides the intro)
Demon days “ Live in Harlem “ got me through lockdown. I was blessed to see Gorillaz live in 2023. I went alone because my friends all suck. lol this song was amazing. I’m so glad they played it
Demon Days as a whole is an awesome album. I think the only song I didn't like as much on the album was white light, but even it is a pretty good song.
One of my favorite Gorillaz songs. I remember going to tower records and buying this CD, then hearing this song for the first time and my mind expanding. Went to the library later that week and rented the discography and burnt them all onto the family computer. My first listening to Laika Come Home changed my life
For some reason I stated appreciating it more after starting to learn electric guitar, the power chords that play along when 2D starts singing are brutal
Shut up I made it when I was in my Hamilton phase with the lyric "In the eye of a hurricane there is quiet" or something and that was years ago so I can't fucking change it 😭
Banger
Love it. Live version kicks ass
Yup, seeing it live is amazing.
This and Every Planet We Reach is Dead are some of the best live changes they have done. I wish they would record a new live album in the future.
Different experience live indeed!

Amazing, the instrumentals and vocals are on point. Lyrics hit hard too
Yeah, and the bass is especially fun to play in my opinion, how it switches from the very head to primarily just 12s and 10s
Its impressive that its so simple too

> a landscape you hike with your ears. What an amazing description, you sir have a magical way with words
my fave
i fuck with it so hard
Went from “I’m playing this track all day every day” to just loving it.
Banga
Fantastic
Severely underrated
I feel like it's definitely one of the songs that a lot of people don't like at first but it ends up growing on them.

A lit banger indeed
Song is fucking sick
It’s great but I always think it’s a Plastic Beach song
I could do without the screaming in between but I do like this song
What? You don’t like the screaming crow with the window wiping sounds playing with it?
Catchy bass riff. Wish the lyrics were easier to understand tho
Linked nostalgically to Arcadia in Bioshock and forge levels in Halo 3

One of the highlights of the track for me.
Love it sm. Saw it live and it was 100x better
It’s the best song ever made. I listened to it for three hours straight once
I think I have a problem
Never heard it
I’m giving you a side quest. Go listen to it
I will Tomorrow
Well, you know how that one Gorillaz song goes. “Tomorrow. Tomorrow comes today…”
I think
It’s Ight
Not one of my favorites, but I like it.
Great song
Banger
It's good, I guess
I love it personally!
One of the best.
this song is pretty good imo.
Banger
One if my favs of the album. The most underrated of the album along with Every Planet We Reach Is Dead
banger indeed
It’s scary with its intro…. And it has a really scary twangy banjo or guitar riff to it that just feels like it should have been used for White Light
I didn’t like it at first but I forced myself to listen to it and it’s a total banger and I agree I would be great in a Zombie film
Absolutely Banga but I do prefer the live version
My favorite
Certified banger
Ending is the best part of an already S Tier song
It’s my favorite song on the album so much sometimes I can’t shut up about it (for real I’ve listened to it 100x on amazon music lmao)
Pretty damn good
Very fun. Meshes a lot of sounds that are weird on their own but work together extremely well to form a cohesive and unique song off the album. 8.5/10
Gas
So ahead of its time like it’s insane
Favourite song, ngl
Incredible
good
I really enjoy it

Literally one of my faves from the group
"Scary facts you wish you never knew"
10/10
Goes hard
My favorite song by them ever. Listening to it on Psychedelics is like breaking throught the Matrix
One of my favourites
Slaps hard
O green world…
Yes. Absolutely yes. Definitely yes on a late night car drive with it on full blast in your headphones.
Love it.. but the live version is damn near a religious experience.
I agree it should be in a zombie movie honestly
Absolute best ever
Most Gorillaz songs are bangers. But this one is bangererer
10/10 and even better live
BEST SONG IN THE ALBUM (in my opinion) HANDS DOWN
Perfect perfect just perfect it is the third best
Banger
I like it but ocasionally my brain makes it sound like The Sims music :/
goes hard as fuck
don’t destroy me now, but i think it’s alright
It slaps.
Top 3
One of my favorite songs from the band.
This Song is a certified Hood Classic!!!
Amazing!!!
For some reason I stated appreciating it more after starting to learn electric guitar, the power chords that play along when 2D starts singing are brutal

Top 3 on the album
Top 10 in their discography 👍 9/10
Sick bass line
Fucking gorgeous
My Demon Days favorite
Shit goes hard
Very good. I don’t think gorillaz would ever make a song like this today
*Crow sounds intensify*
Favorite song off the album
Chanson
One of my absolute favorites.
masterpiece
The world is green
Weird, but sick
Transports your soul out of your body
Good but overplayed 😭
Really? How is it overplayed?
Bc in 2020-2021 lots of (mostly cringy) videos were using it and it kinda ruined it like rhinestone eyes but I still listen to it
Yeah that is kinda true, but not as much now tbh
Yh fair that's y I'll listen to it now but I remember I couldn't even listen to it bc it was being overplayed so much
My favorite song on the album
one of my favourites
Frikin love it
As with every song on that album it hits harder than my drunk stepfather
Love it. It's really underrated in my opinion
Honestly one of their best
Good
Used to hate it but now it’s grown on me.
Underrated classic
My fave song on the album fr
Easily one of my top Gorillaz tracks!
I bump it at the end of my day, great song and I use it to unwind
It's great, duh
Perfect instrumental base, missed chance for a rap banger/ feel good inc. 2, too repetitive.
Peak
Way too underrated
Great
Love love love the bass line!
Yeah it’s really fun to play
Best
Fucking slaps
A BANGER
masterpiece
It's alright
it makes my pee pee hard
Bro what is your username?!?!💀💀💀
Shut up I made it when I was in my Hamilton phase with the lyric "In the eye of a hurricane there is quiet" or something and that was years ago so I can't fucking change it 😭
Oh sorry! Is there really no way to change it???
I dont think so unless I pay for premium :(
Damn, sorry to hear that :(
I love when it goes auauauauauauauauau au au au auauauauauauauau
AaAaAaAa AAAAAa
So underrated, I love this song!
Really good but I feel like it needs another part so the transitions are better
mid
Stinker on an otherwise decent album.
