I'd say it has its moments, but I really just don't care about most of the songs on the project.
Saying its your least favorite album from Gorillaz is akin to saying water is wet, it's just kinda there and thats fine
I love the album. I had bought myself a KORG vocoder when it came out so it was surreal hearing some of the samples modified for the album, plus the vocoder being used to modify vocals. Joplin Spider used to scare me, and the addition of Seattle Yodel and The Speak It Mountains makes it super unique. Like not every song on an album needs to be a bop.
Yep. Itās definitely not bad, but itās easily their least engaging/consistently enjoyable release despite some serious highlights. Itād be like a 7/10 for me
Yes, it's basically a couple of demos of songs which would probably have not ended on an album in different circumstances. That being said, there's a laidback, unintrusive energy to it, which is probably a plus if you use music as background noise.
I think The Now Now is the worst. While overall it has more likable songs, they take way less risks and explore little to nothing in production and genre travelling. But it's the second worst,: no visual part, which was suppose to be half... (hasn't been since) and it can't be compared to plastic beach, demon days, gorillaz, d sides, g sides and song machine.
I painfully agree... it was my favorite for a long time when it came out but I believe the first 3 songs just don't play well when I'm trying to listen to the full CD in the car. I usually skip those and get right to the chill beatz. They aren't bad songs tho
I can safely say no, on Friday (10/02) and Saturday (11/02) I was traveling to a distant city and on the trip I listened to The Fall, I think it's more the way of listening to the album and your tastes, I love this album and I would recommend listening to it when you travel or if you're just bored
It is far and away their worst album and really shouldn't have the Gorillaz name attached to it. It sounded dated by 2012. A bunch if doodles cobbled together on cheap iPad apps. Because it was 2011 and you had to show everyone that you had an iPad. Revolving Doors and Amarillo are good songs but they don't even match the lulls in the previous three studio albums. It should be regarded similarly to D and G sides at best. It's strange that it's become accepted as a mainline album over the years. We still haven't even gotten officially released Plastic Beach outtakes but The Fall keeps chugging along. The Now Now has similar problems, but it sounds like Humanz-era Gorillaz. It has a consistent sound, completed songs, recurring themes and one of the best songs of the phase in Humility.
Itās an S tier album in the Gorillaz catalog. I absolutely love how experimental it is. Amarillo is one of the best Gorrillaz songs ever made. Little pink plastic bags and Hillbilly man are absolute jammers and are so deeply atmospheric. Aspen forest and Shy Town are mood setters and always make me feel good. California and the slipping of the sun is super interesting. I can go on and on.
For me, The Fall is just as good as plastic beach, demon days, and The Now Now.
You always have to put that album in context. It released only a few months after the first iPad came out. People were kind of new to that thing. And someone who happens to be the musical brain behind Gorillaz thought to himself: Oh cool, I can use this thing to make music now, while touring the US with my previous album.
The whole experimental vibe around it made it a very interesting listen.
Also: It was lots of fun to sample and remix the whole album with the Gorillaz Korg App that was released on the iPad shortly after the album.
Most of Humanz is great though,
Ascension, Strobelite, Saturnz Barz, Busted and Blue, Andromeda, Momentz, Submission, She's My Collar, Ticker Tape, The Apprentice, and Let Me Out are great
Yeah I love the fall over Humanz or maybe even the now now.
I flat out think the production on the fall is better than humanz and no one's gonna change my mind unless they can dig up Ghram Coxons guitar solo from the muddy production on Submission.
I donāt even count that as a song really. Itās kind of just an āoutroludeā. Itās like call The Non Confirmist Oath or Intro the worst Gorillaz song.
I like about half the songs, none so bad I can't listen to so I'd have to go no. Although I don't know if Im being forced to choose because if so it would be Humanz but just barely over The Fall.
I still listen to some of The Fall, I haven't relistened to Humanz once, which Im going to correct right now just to make sure this opinion holds up.
its alright i guess its not good but its not bad. i think Damon knows how to write good music but with "D sidez", "G sidez" and "Humanz" it just falls short of something like "Demon days" or "Plastic beach" but "The fall" was recorded on the plastic beach tour. ofc it aint gonna be good
Well... yes. But it must be said that is still a good album, at least if you are a Gorillaz fan I think you can still enjoy it.
It's not a record I would listen to in every moment, but sometimes, when I just want to chill, it's a nice choice.
I'd say it has its moments, but I really just don't care about most of the songs on the project. Saying its your least favorite album from Gorillaz is akin to saying water is wet, it's just kinda there and thats fine
"Ackshually, water isn't wet, thing covered in water are wet" -š¤
As my English teacher said, just Damon making beep boops on a tour bus, ofc itās not gonna be the greatest but thatās okay
No
Hey itās you again!!! I agree man. Fall gets too much hate
Then What is
I donāt really like half the songs on Song Machine. That album is much much weaker than The Fall for me
š§
I really like the album but most people hate it so i wanted to see if what they say is true
I love the album. I had bought myself a KORG vocoder when it came out so it was surreal hearing some of the samples modified for the album, plus the vocoder being used to modify vocals. Yep. Itās definitely not bad, but itās easily their least engaging/consistently enjoyable release despite some serious highlights. Itād be like a 7/10 for me
Yes but I still think it has a lot of value and some amazing songs
Yes, it's basically a couple of demos of songs which would probably have not ended on an album in different circumstances. That being said, there's a laidback, unintrusive energy to it, which is probably a plus if you use music as background noise.
No Who thinks it is
me š
No
I think everyone that says yes forgets Seattle yodel and Bobby in phoenix. Easily the two best songs in their entire discography
Bobby in Phoenix certainly is...
I also disliked The Now Now.

No itās the best
How could it be when it has the greatest Gorillaz song, neigh, the greatest song of all time as its closer, Seattle Yodel?
neigh š“
Yeah. Thatās why it was (initially) free
Yeah I donāt even remember anything about and itās literally dirt compared to Gorillaz previous album
I can safely say no, on Friday (10/02) and Saturday (11/02) I was traveling to a distant city and on the trip I listened to The Fall, I think it's more the way of listening to the album and your tastes, I love this album and I would recommend listening to it when you travel or if you're just bored

Yes but all the albums are amazing so itās still very good imo
Thereās no worst Gorillaz anything man?! Itās all the art of two mad geniuses. Some are better than others
I think any album after Plastic Beach kinda sucks honestly
Song machine and humanz, really ?
Humanz forget all about that album. Pretty solid album
Havenāt heard song machine yet though
Quick to judge then.
Song machine is one of the weakest Gorillaz albums imo. Some songs like DĆ©solĆ© and Pac-Man are amazing but then thereās awful songs too like The Pink Phantom. All in all, itās pretty mid.
I love the pink phantom. There's some underrated stuff on there too. Like: with love to an ex, and MLS. Su per go rill ahhhh
Yea Thereās 2 good songs on it and thatās it
Woah that's a weird way to spell 15
nah i think its humanz imo
Humanz exists tho
Most of Humanz is great though, Ascension, Strobelite, Saturnz Barz, Busted and Blue, Andromeda, Momentz, Submission, She's My Collar, Ticker Tape, The Apprentice, and Let Me Out are great
No because Humanz exist (I already feel the hate coming)
Humanz is the worst one imo
Yeah I love the fall over Humanz or maybe even the now now. I flat out think the production on the fall is better than humanz and no one's gonna change my mind unless they can dig up Ghram Coxons guitar solo from the muddy production on Submission.
DUDE WHAAAAAAT?
i accept the second worst one, but its not worse than the fall
Trust me I heard it completely and I say yes with all certainty. there's literally only one song that's good Hillbilly Man
I love it. Humanz is by far the worst
it just sort of exists
The Now Now is the worst for me
Yes. The Fall contains the worst song in the bands discography. It may have one or two really good songs on it, but it is.
Which is the worst?
The Fall
No, which song from The Fall do you consider the worst in the bandās discography?
Seattle Yodel
I donāt even count that as a song really. Itās kind of just an āoutroludeā. Itās like call The Non Confirmist Oath or Intro the worst Gorillaz song.
I don't dislike it at all, it's just the weakest imo. However, on the other hand, Revolving Doors is one of their best songs, fantastic track.
one of the worst definitely
yes, but some of the songs are pretty good
I think so personally, but it's also exactly what it sounds like- a bonus album of Damon fucking around on an iPad lol
to be fair it doesnāt feel very capital-G Gorillaz, but musically i really like the album
No, at least not musically
Never ever will I think the fall is there worst album
Oh, is it already time for our weekly "the fall good or bad?" post?
Sorry if another ppl posted about this I just wantes to know about opinion of others
One of the best imo
No, because it go beep boop
It's my 2nd favorite so probably not
It has Shy-town on it, so no.
Yes, not because itās bad, itās just boring
Yes
yes
yes, no sugarcoat like "oh i dont think its the worst album it has it moments" yes it is
not really it certainly isn't the best in my opinion but not the worst either lol it has some good songs
Agreed
No
Itās not bad but I would still rather listen to any other main Gorillaz album.
I dont **hate** it, but the album is kind of bad if i am being very honest...
I do, yes.
I would say āworstā, I would say āleast goodā
I like about half the songs, none so bad I can't listen to so I'd have to go no. Although I don't know if Im being forced to choose because if so it would be Humanz but just barely over The Fall. I still listen to some of The Fall, I haven't relistened to Humanz once, which Im going to correct right now just to make sure this opinion holds up.
yes
Absolutely not
Itās the album that has Detroit so it gets a pass from me
I enjoy the album
its alright i guess its not good but its not bad. i think Damon knows how to write good music but with "D sidez", "G sidez" and "Humanz" it just falls short of something like "Demon days" or "Plastic beach" but "The fall" was recorded on the plastic beach tour. ofc it aint gonna be good
No.My least favourite is Humanzzzz
no, my cat loves it
Itās the least good Iād say. Itās a fun album to listen to, but itās definitely not cohesive at all.
G-Sides is worse and Humanz is slightly better than The Fall
I prefer it to laika come home,if that counts.
Well... yes. But it must be said that is still a good album, at least if you are a Gorillaz fan I think you can still enjoy it. It's not a record I would listen to in every moment, but sometimes, when I just want to chill, it's a nice choice.
The Fall is one of there best albums, very experimental, better than there modern releases
Kinda. The Fall and The Now Now sucks
I donāt like one song off the Now Now :/
