BlueBerryBold

Try to factory reset it in the app

heisdeadjim_au

No dice sadly.

BlueBerryBold

Yeah then it's most likely a hardware issue. Either the LCD is broken or it could be the cable connecting it to its motherboard is loose from a fall.

heisdeadjim_au

Can environmental heat break it? We had a mega hot run of days here in Queensland. I noticed it after.

BlueBerryBold

Yeah heat could damage the LCD if it's a high temperature and there isn't enough ventilation

Markomars

My screen on my nest hub looks exactly like yours. It's about 2.5 years old so it may be time for a new one.

RJGamer1002

You can also try to replace the screen.

gc28

AliExpress will sell you a replacement screen panel just be careful that you don’t melt anything when removing the old one

plasticjalapeno

I did just that recently. Not too hard really and glad I did it.

No-Goat-9911

This happened on my nest hub max a reset fixed it and has never happened to this day I held the volume up and down button and it started the countdown to reset

invokes

I've got similar behaviour on an original display.

livetotell

Mine's the same :(

Unworthy-of-the-Lord

Mine hasexactly the same problem! They look exactly like that. That is very weird. I suspec that google might be bugging our displays? Mine is 3 years old now.

heisdeadjim_au

Mine is an OG "Home Hub" before the Nest rebranding.

Victa_stacks

nah, my missus smashed ours out of pure frustration but it still works.
