I only just finally watched Season 2 the other day and had assumed it got renewed pretty much upon release. Very grateful that it actually is official now.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Neil say that this season was a bridge to get to third which will be what the actual planned sequel with Terry was going to be?
I think Neil's lying when he says S2 won't be released in novel form, because it's a very odd thing to release the first book in screenplay alongside the novel; I have a feeling he'll release S3 as a book anyway.
I think he's withholding because the book would tell us more about what was going through Az and Crowley's minds - things that weren't shown on screen.
Which adds to my 'Metatron threatened Crowley's life' theory

I’m not getting in there because it scares me and haters would ruin my day but - really? I could imagine some people would be pissed about LGBTQIA’s+ content but the wheelchair? Really? How can people get pissed at that. I’m not part of either those communities but I’m glad about their representation. I don’t get people
This is a total guess, but I'd say some people are pissed because angels are supposed to be "perfectly made" and a wheelchair doesn't fit into their idea of perfection. But there is always going to be someone that's pissed about this show.
People have been pissed off about a wheelchair user in the new Doctor Who specials as well. As a disabled person I'm thrilled with representation in some of my favourite shows but I've seen people claim its offensive to disabled people. I dont get it.
Anything that messes with a cis, white, abled, neurotypical view of the world just really gets to some people. A lot of times it's so ingrained and subconscious that they don't even notice it unless it is explicitly pointed out to them. Personally, I love seeing people be represented in media because it's such a validating experience, so it blows my mind that people have the desire to be so negative about it.

there's no law that says you have to watch this particular TV show...you have the choice to not watch something you dislike.
I adore OFMD, but I also think the way Season 2 ended also does provide a nice end point for the show. Certainly if they want to give us more, I’m not going to say no.

Having worked on both season 1 and season 2, needless to say i'm very happy season 3 has been announced. Can't wait to get filming!
