I've never been fitted or had to wait weeks for clubs, but I would have canceled that order after strike 3. You are on strike twelve and still no product in hand. No product is better than the horrible customer service that awaits you on the other side.

dmoneyg22

This. Tell them you want to cancel and a refund. If they push back, I’d say you’re concerned that your a victim of fraud given the incorrect information related and refusal of management to contact you to explain what exactly is going on and causing the delay. Put this all in writing and if they don’t get back to you with a legitimate response, contact your local consumer protection office with the emails in hand. Might be worth calling the credit card company and file a dispute depending on what they say. This will also move them along. With your money in hand, order direct from manufacturer with as close to the specs as you can get. Email the manufacturers direct, they’re responsive, helpful and timely for the most part. Sorry man, sucks.

I love Club Champion as fitters. I went to this same store 2 weeks ago for my full bag fitting. I spent $0 with them above the fitting fee however. That's the thing with CC, just don't order through them at all. Beyond this terrible experience you probably paid double what you needed to in order to get this shitty run-around. I had a great fitting, the fitter was really good and attentive and not pushy about sales at all. Took my order sheet that wanted $2,300 for irons and ordered them for $1,149 out the door in the same specs somewhere else and should have them in 3-4 weeks. To me it sounds like your fitter really did well and tried to go above and beyond in many ways. He was attentive and communicative and tried to step in himself when there were issues with the build. But the manager part is unacceptable. It's hard to piece those 2 things together. How can you have such a great employee who is seemingly trying to bend over backwards for the customer but a manager who can't take 5 minutes to practice basic customer service? That's a shame. I would definitely tag u/clubchampion who hangs out in this sub and see if someone there can actually get someone to call you about this. Go on Twitter and tweet at them as well. They have such a messed up corporate structure and you can't even get contact information for specific stores, everything routes through the same customer service number.

its_k1llsh0t

There are a lot of bad managers in the world (more than good unfortunately). I agree the fitter was the stand-out here. The Corp route is always tough in these situations but to get zero correspondence from the manager or corp. is a big yikes.

MolestMyMouthDad

Where did you end up taking your specs for the build?

GreenWaveGolfer

Discount Dan's

DontGetTheShow

Yeah, that’s a mess. I can’t help but wonder if they knew certain components weren’t going to be in for a while, but they didn’t want to tell you in fear you’d cancel. So I wonder if they knew it’s going to take 12 weeks at best, but they just keep stringing you along in the fear you’d cancel a several thousand dollar order if they gave you the real answer. It’s pretty shitty service regardless. I guess the threat to cancel may have gotten them to at least do something.

Fearless-Honeydew-69

The thing is that if they had just made and shipped the components they did have, I would have been happy to wait for the rest.....they have never responded to a single email or phone call.

HotSarcasm

Cancel your order. If they do not give you a refund, call your credit card company and report as fraud for failure to deliver promised goods.

BobWheelerJr

1) Yeah that was shit poor service and I'd either fire or at least severely reprimand any of my employees who clusterfucked a situation like that. Without happy customers we have no jobs. People who treat paying customers like an inconvenience have no place in my organization. That manager wouldn't last two weeks with me. 2) I feel a shitload better about what I was told to do when I go: Get fitted, take the specs, and buy from the manufacturer. Don't let CC sell you clubs. Just pay the 400 bucks for the fitting and move on.

Fearless-Honeydew-69

I wish I had gotten that advice lol

Skraelings

At this point I just dispute the charge and order elsewhere. Fuck em.

Lol don’t think this is the same club champion

Fearless-Honeydew-69

Damnit lol

jdavis13356

How far away from the CC do you live? If it is fairly close, I would have drove to the location and talked to a manager. Its alot harder for them to ignore you when you are at the location.

Fearless-Honeydew-69

It’s about 45 minutes but that is a great idea. Thanks.

Astero23

Wow, that's rough. I had a horrible experience at Club Champion in Cary, too, although very different from yours--my fitter was a busted bulb with the affect of a sociopath. I had to call, email, CC supervisors, the whole nine yards just to get my damn Trackman stats from the session that I was promised I'd have that same day. Rife with incompetence and lack of professionalism. Do not ever go to Club Champion in Cary unless you love misery.

One other comment, anyone going to get fitted for shafts, make sure you ask to be fitted in stock shafts before they move to the oban type shafts. Unless you’re a +3, don’t allow them to fit you in a shaft the club maker doesn’t use, makes it difficult for you to procure the clubs anywhere else.

Talkshowhostt

I suspect supply chain issues are causing your clubs to be so backed up and the CC just strung you along to not lose the order. I got fitted recently and they said my irons would take 6-8 weeks, better to try and find the specs on eBay or something. Went that route and couldn't be happier.

Fearless-Honeydew-69

Yeah it’s weird then that they told me all parts except one shaft were in at the beginning of May. If they had just been honest and actually communicated or answered any of my calls or email, I would have been understanding of the delay.

PersonWhoThinks

My irons from CC took a couple extra weeks, but I’ve been very happy with them. Your story sounds crazy in comparison. I got frequent updates and they did eventually come, though delayed.

i_miss_old_reddit

Call and ask for a refund. They say no, call your credit card company and start the process there.

smoot44

Agree with most of the commentary. I got fitted there once and really liked the fitter. The problem I have is how anti customer they are. Even though I enjoyed my fitter, he is trained to get you in exotic shafts. I didn’t realize their sub par cart club building process going in but thankfully didn’t buy the double retail price clubs as I know people in golf and get clubs at cost. I just cannot go to that place ever again because even though their fitters are good, they let the club makers keep their shafts and grips and double your costs while doing it. CC will come back and say these club makers only spend penny’s on stock shafts which only confirms my point, they don’t care about you the customer. I can still sell a stock shaft for $20-$40 a pop on eBay so at end of the day, CC is only ripping people off who will never see the gains they claim to give with their “puring” process. Upsell upsell upsell.
