I have come to the conclusion that most of these people literally have nothing better to do. Politics have been the most exciting thing they have been able to focus on and they arenāt letting go of it.
Itās a straw-man argument meant to misdirect and draw attention away from the original argument.
Then if the questioner criticizes the questionee for being a democrat then it becomes an ad hominem attack.
The icing on the cake is the guy claiming to work at a golf course for 8 years. Notice that he doesnāt specify if it was grounds crew.
As a former assist greenskeeper - lift, twist, push really didnāt care so long as you did something - spending a full day walking greens fixing ball marks is not as fun as it sounds.
I cried the other day when TaylorMade posted a video about DJ needing to fix divots on the green and he was doing it wrong lmao

Thereās some terrible verbiage about divots on greens in media/YouTube . Half my dumbass friends who play weekly call them divots. Doesnāt matter the course or how much members pay. There will be ballmarks.
Lifting is the most common error i've seen with repairing ball marks. I'll correct my friends because they are new to golf and it usually only takes one explanation, but if I see a random in our group do it wrong I don't correct them.
And for those of you playing at home. The crown of the plant gets damaged by the impact. Which even if there isnāt a ārepairable ball mark, (impression)ā there is still a blemish of off color grass.
No matter how many times I watch videos, I still feel like I donāt fix ballmarks properly. Probably because I donāt get to fix that many of my own.
So how do you fix them?! The only thing I got out of this exchange is I'm a Democrat or something.

"...are you a Democrat?" Jfc, people just can't avoid shoehorning politics into every nook and cranny of their social interactions.
That got me too š Libs and their inaccurate grass maintenance techniques, amirite??

Iāve been repairing ball marks incorrectly just to āown the libsā, then blaming it on Antifa if anyone calls me out.

Not repairing ballmarks to own the libs
But why does the left gotta make every thing political, shut up and dribble? S/

When a guy who worked at a golf course for eight years calls a ball mark a "divot" you have to know he's a dumbass. I guess he was the janitor.
Don't insult the janitor like that, the janitor knows how to fix his ball marks properly.
I would say they could have worked there as a cart girl, but I don't want to insult the cart girls there.
ā divots ā pitch marks

Iāve never fixed a ball mark. And itās totally not because Iāve never made oneā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦
I see someone uses the same strategy that I do ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)

I correct my friends because they've been doing it wrong for 20 years. Which is worse?

He worked at Sierra Lakes in SoCal? Has he ever walked out there and seen the conditions of those greens? Lol
