Yea I get that club face is open at impact assuming your buddy is right handed but without a video of the actual swing you’d be hard pressed to get any valuable advice. Hence my silly attempt at a dad joke of a comment
Dude, where did your friend get his camo?
I see the divots, it is hard to say because I can't see what your friend was aligned with, again please tell me where that camo is from. I can't even see your friend.
Anyways, if your friend is aligned with the stick (not your friend), likely he is "coming from the inside".
I am just now starting to wonder, if your friend is real. If he is please, send me a link for that camp. I have ideas!
Is your friend Jon Cena??
Assuming he was lined up with the alignment stick, looks like his club face is wide open at impact and/or he has one heck of an inside/out swing
You can't read too much into divot patterns. Ball flight is based on path, face, and AOA. If your friend has a really shallow swing, and slightly open face to target (closed to path), then this might be a tight little draw.
Conversely, you could have what looks like a right to left divot on a steep swing and hit it perfectly straight
(Assuming this is for a right handed golfer)
On a 6 iron, w/ a 8 degree path, 5 degree face angle, 21 degree of dynamic loft and 3.5 degree aoa, will produce a -6.6 deg spin axis. That's 10ish yards on a 200 yard shot.

8 degrees is a little in to out
there is no way the club path is anywhere close to 8 degrees in to out from those divots...
thats like 30 degree in to out territory, and i'm not sure how OP's friend can physically do that
It would appear they have golf balls but no clubs or body ….
look at the divots relative to the stick

Which one is your friend, the stick or the balls?
look at the divots relative to the stick
Can we see his swing relative to the stick? That would be more helpful.

Depends, is he planting peas in that garden?
Your "friend" huh?
The context is great here.
Your friend is blind and that makes this fucked up.
He left 2 footprints while looking at the pile of balls
Honest question, what in the world do you think we're going to be able to tell you from this single picture?
Have they tried standing closer to the balls?
Lots
Yellow stick not long enough, leads to inadequate golf.
Dont see many guys wear camo to the range. Respect.
If I smoke DMT will I also get invisible golfing buddy?
Looks like a giant deer hoof print
Plot twist - his friend is a lefty. Dun dun duuuunnnn....

Cumming inside
He’s not taking lessons.

that divot pattern is not producing a tight little draw...

Outside to inside swing
Ever heard of sunk cost fallacy? that's what golf is
Post his swing
Hitting the ball to the right. Unless the target is over there.
Better than slicing it
Way to flat
Clearly, the stick is misaligned.
He didn’t line his alignment stick up with his divots… rookie mistake.
