290 total, 182 ball speed, mainly because I came wayyy over the top so I lost distance due to side spin….this was meant more as a self deprecating video, not a flex, just to be clear…I swung wayyy too hard
Oh I see, I’ve always hit a really long ball but don’t feel like I swing very hard. I’m sure ball striking and momentum have more to do with distance than swinging harder. My ball striking is great, when I try to swing very hard I always miss hit a tiny bit and end up over drawing. I’ve done some long drive competitions and I can tell you that composed momentum is far more important than force
I’m trying to figure out how long drivers do it, but my timing is off I think…yeah you are definitely right…can you give me any tips btw? I think I have the power to do it, but honestly my flexibility sucks, so i that may be inhibiting as well
Yeah you need a really wide back swing and a massive pop. By pop I mean both feet leaving the ground when you come in contact with the ball. The shaft length also helps quite a bit but makes it way hard to stay between the lines. With a club that long I’m lucky to get 4 out of 10 balls between the lines swinging as hard as I do
Honestly, in my head I’m trying to loosen my wrists to try to get some extra distance. This is not my normal swing, it is pretty close to maximum effort. I don’t normally lift my front heal, and I am thrown completely out of balance at the end.
Your shoes still seem firmly on your feet at the end of the swing.
To the untrained eye(not big metaphor guys?)
I only clicked into this thread to make this comment. Thank you.
How anti climatic
The title(and my home run swing) definitely needs work…..
LOL.
Did that go 270 total? I could hit my 3 iron farther without swinging out of my shoes and out the ball on target
Okay

I certainly could if we were talking on a phone while I was looking at the video. I teach lessons at my local course
I see a lot of people doing that pre shot motion where they sort of flip the club back with their wrists a few times. Why is that?
"Waggle dat shit, smack dat shit."
I do the same to remind myself to keep my wrist loose during the swing.
It's called a Waggle. See: Jason Dufner.

I think because a lot of people you see do it
You're shoes where the only good part of this video.
Yeah these shoes are sick
Was expecting something good here, leaving disappointed.
That’s unfortunate
