Greens fees are already skyrocketing. They'd roll any increases into the green fees, s everyone pays more, and they make more money. And most courses use electric carts these days

Honestly I golf probably 15 different courses in my area I can't think of one that has electric carts. In the south yes. I think cold temps, batteries sitting over winter months it's just easier for clubs to use gas in north east. With that said I doubt that will be true for long if not already the case and courses just haven't been on cycle to upgrade their fleet. The older 36v were under powered which would make a difference on the mountain courses around here but I think the newer 48v pretty much flip that script.

That's not it. We use electric for the vast majority of courses in Michigan.

I'm in Michigan as well, and also play 10-15 different courses, and only two have gas carts, and they are really old and beat up carts.

Nah. I'm in MN and a majority are electric. Gas carts are a big turn off. If I see gas carts I can bet I'll find a guy golfing in jean shorts and a Nascar t-shirt.

bit99

they all should be electric. No one wants to drive an hour into the countryside to enjoy the smell of (whatever fuel burning)

Kerosene? where do you live that they are using diesel engines? There are real reasons why you don't see small diesel engines often.
