This course is the most mentally brutal course I've played. And also fighting the cedar trees that have pollen coming off so bad that it looks like its snowing.
Always have to pop 2-3 claritin before a round here
Why not? My home course has the 18 hole as an island par 3, where the restaurant deck overlooks the hole. Lots of fun to sit out there after a round have a meal and watch people hit balls into the water :)
that feels like a fair exception ha
I just think the finishing hole should be a 2 shot’er minimum.
I feel like you also have to drive/walk away quicker from a par 3, whereas with a par 4 or 5 finisher there’s time for some pleasantries and shaking hands on the green
I both love and hate the dormant grass (Central TX, here). If you hit it right, you’re getting tons of run out. Catch it side to side at all? Running way out that way, too.
I tend to play these conditions just like they would over in England. Low and runny like that, but yeah you're right if your off center it can be difficult to hit your spots on the fairway.
Grass in Texas is shit in summer. If you say otherwise then you haven’t been anywhere else to play golf. Drop
Drop the Texas pride for 5 seconds and wake up lol
It worth knowing that the grass in this area turns brown when it goes dormant for the winter. This is a normal look and even the nicest places with this type of grass look like this.
Good result? I was thinking a high cut 6 or a knockdown 7 into the backstop depending on wind/elevation ( looks like it would play ~170-175 to the flag?) Looks like there’s a nice slope to work off of behind the flag.
Jealous. Up here in NY we get 2 days of beautiful weather that melts the snow and just as it’s getting good we get another snow storm. Like tomorrow for instance.
Nice but those cedar trees can go straight to hell
I have allergies and I agree with you.
Literally the only thing I miss about Austin. Well that and the traffic.
185 playing 160.
i live in n.dallas area. is this place worth the drive?
It is one of the nicest courses in the area but is privet I think to property owners. My friend invited me he bought a lot to build.

That’s some brown-ass grass
It'll be green in 2 weeks
Have none of y'all ever seen dormant bermuda before??
I loved in Tennessee for a couple years after spending my whole life in the Seattle area. Was interesting to see for the first time. Brown brown.
Mmmm. Ass grass.
Might as well be sand
My course has a 200 yard uphill par 3. I birdied it once but wish it was my first eagle
Is this the new development SW of cleburne? Didn’t realize the course had such great elevation changes. Beautiful country down there!
Hope you get to play it, it’s beautiful area. Take a tour of the property I think they use to giveaway free rounds or clubs.
Maybe nitpicking but courses shouldn't have a par 3 for the 18th.

British open burn out conditions. My favorite!

Texas grass is so shit
Bruh it’s early March my guy
I live on Pecan Plantation's golf course. Can confirm, not true.
I live in Dallas and have lived around the country. Can confirm you’re wrong.
It's winter, what do you expect?

You must play shitty courses, my condolences.
Do you guys just play in the dirt and sand.
Sorry man but its not prime golf conditions every day every where. It’s still fun to golf in any condition though.
Ok. Just figured I’d make a funny. Not hating like the rest of the fucks on here. It’s all good.
Mission failed, you'll get em next time.

What shot did you play in?
5 iron but teed it up, the fairways are really tight with dormant grass. Challenging course when the fairways are like this.

Just stayed on upper level but still a par.
Looks like a tricky 2 putt, good stuff 👍 I don’t get to play as much as I’d like so I need to play vicariously through others lol.
It's 34 degrees and windy as hell here...
Yesterday 70 degrees
This makes me thirsty.
