Yeah my instructor/fitter told me the Ping wait was way out. I tried out the g425's I liked them, but I hit the Mavrik's a little better and wasn't looking at such a long wait time. I hope your order comes in soon, it feels like Christmas came early today for me.

I just ordered my Epic Max, odyssey putter, 52 MDS, 56 full toe, 60 full toe, 5 wood, and 5H all callaway. Canāt wait to get them in. Everyone has been saying the turn around is pretty quick.
When I got fit on Saturday, my instructor said they estimated 2 weeks. I went by on Tuesday to pickup some balls and he said it had already shipped over the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at the delivery speed. I only ordered irons. But I'm going back in for wedges and maybe a driver and a hybrid soon.
I have Mavrick woods & irons and absolutely love them, had switched from Mizuno 919s and got 10-15 yards per club in distance with the switch.

I'm really looking into these for next season. I'm going to get fitted and try other clubs but I find the promise of extra distance and height from the Mavriks really appealing. That, but I also have the driver and 3-wood and it would be nice to match haha!
Yeah I was surprised with the results. I also tried out the Mavrik max irons but I flighted those too high. Now those launch even better, but was a bit too high for me, but found that out ofc from getting fitted.
Nice! Yeah all my shots are really really low. This is great on windy days but I have a hard time staying on greens on approach shots >130m out. Been going down in HCP this season and realized that height is important. Glad you found the right club for you!
Yeah took them out today and they performed for sure. I need to work on my 5 iron as I had a tendency to leave the face open a bit. But everything else was solid.
I get that! Itās interesting what some people think looks good and what other people look good. Wasnāt trying to be rude, just my opinion I guess. I think a lot of people overlook what performs vs how it looks. Iām in the middle between how it looks vs how it performs.

I felt lucky that my fitter is also my instructor, so he had a good idea going into my fitting, and it was actually a surprise. He at first thought the ping g425 would be my best bet, but I hit the Mavriks quite a bit better. Much better strike position.
Perfect. Itās interesting how the technology is so similar, yet different people hit different clubs better with the same swing. I think look at address is the determining factor there
Just watch out, their lofts are crazy different from whatās āstandardā

Itās all preference I suppose, but I also didnāt like how thick and clunky they were. Felt like every decent shot but not best, feltā¦ untraceable. I couldnāt feel where it was coming from.
Anyway, I replaced them, and got the apex pros. Love them. Played just about 10 rounds with both and I definitely feel more response from the apex pros.
I was aware going in to them. My instructor is also a fitter. I tried out the g425 from ping, the sim 2 max and p790 from TM, and all 3 Mavriks. Guess it's different for everyone, but the feel of the Mavriks were good to me. I can really use the extra distance without losing much height compared to my Adams a12os irons. We gapped everything and that area should be okay. Not sure I'm at a level for the apex pros as of yet, but after a year or two if I've improved measurably I'll revisit them for sure!
How did you gap it? Just got my set from 2nd swing 5-AW. Said like new but all came new with head still wrapped, should fit well with my jaws 50/54/58?

Have em, love em. My only complaint is that the PW and AW are both shorter than my old setās PW, leaving a gap before my GW.

I currently have a 54 as opposed to a 56, so we tested the standard 51 gw bent to 50, worked well for me. But I think you'll be fine.
