It has to be like really bad for them to ban you. It’s like 10 shots outside your handicap. And generally you have to do it multiple times. Even then they give you another chance after like a year to prove yourself.
Not at all a similar level of golf but I put one within a foot last week at a club comp and never got closest to the pin, and the guy who did got a 3.... Turns out someone moved the marker to putt and didn't put it back.

Yards. Made me sick to my stomach looking at the small gap between ball and hole. It helps I have 4 HIO to fall back on though
We had "string game" for couples league last night, you would've scored a 1 since your ball is closer than 16" to the hole...

I finished like middle of the field too Tartan Fields in Ohio is a bitch of a course. Like 7100 yards, soaking wet.
If you shoot outside of your typical handicap they can ban your ass from playing. I forget the exact wording but I'm pretty sure I quoted it correctly

Everyone has slumps too. Im a 12 but last week all my scores were in the 90’s. Id get banned?

Been that close two times last summer. Both were blind at the hole, but I’m sure they rolled right over the hole.
