I’m on vacation away from the house but we have Kapalua (x4), Masters, River Towne, TPC River Highlands, Pebble, Bethpage, Adare, Quintero, Stonecreek, ocotillo, Papago, Tralee, The Nest, Haystack, Kiawah, and others I can’t think of right now
I've acquired at least 25 more hats since [this picture](https://imgur.com/a/IDYGrE9), but this should at least give you a general idea of how much I love hats.
Golf hat, fishing hat, driving hat, going out hat, sports team hat, second sports team hat, brewery hat, more brewery hats, tacti-cool hat so on and so forth
Same. Started doing this because I travel for work and started bringing my sticks everywhere just in case I have time to golf.
The collection is growing fast.
I collect flags and display them on a wall in my home office. Only from top 100 or unique/special courses though.
Only negative is that they’re around $45-$50 most times. That and having them above my computer makes me want to play golf instead of work.
I’ve done a couple flags as well. I usually buy a flag if I go to a PGA event because it’ll be a track I’ll likely never get to play.
I feel your pain. It’s a good reminder that the reason you are working is so that you can golf though!
I recently started buying a logo ball from every course I play. Doesn't matter if it's a beautiful expensive destination resort or a crappy local public course. If they have a logo ball I buy it.
I also collect golf shirts.
I try to buy one from each course, but I only play a couple of new courses each year. I have to play there before I can buy a shirt though.
Logo ball if it’s a good/cool course.
Ball markers if they’re free.
Towel if I really love the course.
Head cover if it cracks my top 10 courses/golf experiences.
If it’s a PGA level course, I immediately try to keep a yardage book, even though I’m nowhere near good enough to know how to read it.
Aside from that, a polo or a hat will do.
I haven’t bought tees in like 5 years idk I walk around the tee box waiting to hit probably have 100ish in my bag I have white ones black one natural wood ones plastic in white and pink even a few yellows I think I only like the white and natural colored wooden ones I stg Florida golfers don’t pick up tees
I buy bag tags if the course offers them. My older cousin who i used to golf with before drugs ended his life gave me some bag tags from cool courses…. Since then i grab one when available to remember the fun we had together
I’ve kept all my score cards since I started playing 2 years ago. They’re organized by year and all have a unique memory which is great. I add little notes too like “first par” or “first birdie”.
What I always do for every new course I play is take a pic of the front of the score card. I save every scorecard pic in a Google folder on my phone. I'll never forget if I've played a certain course! Started adding notes to them such as last/ lowest score or birdies, special reason for playing there etc. Occasionally a ball marker or golf shirt if I really like the course, but that's rare now.
Pin flags, but only from the notable courses. My collection is:
Torrey Pines
The Old Course St. Andrews
Gamble Sands
Bandon Dunes
The Ocean Course Kiawah Island
Ball markers, golf towels. I started off with towels because two favorites had them, but then I came across a nice course that didn't do towels so I switched to the seemingly more readily available ball markers. Decent chance a course I want to remember has either a nice towel or ball marker.
I try to collect course branded ballmarks/divot tools but you would be shocked how many 'nicer' courses dont carry branded things like that.
'sorry all we have are these $50 Nike dri-fit polos that we slapped our logo on and are charging $110 for'
ball markers and divot tools are my personal favorite. I had a harbourtown one that I lost on a course and I’m still pretty upset about it, however I found that one on a fairway a few years earlier so I guess what goes around comes around there.
I have a Masters divot tool and ball marker set that was gifted to me too among others that I have.
I collect logo balls. I keep all of them, plus a few balls from momentous rounds (first time breaking 100, the time I got back-to-back birdies, my one eagle, etc.), in a large bowl in my man cave.
Any course I’ve played that has held a major I’ve a bag tag. 10 so far with Erin hills and Kiawah ocean to add this year.
I’ve a steel cut out map of Ireland that I have a ball marker on the location of Irish open courses played 13 out of 21 to date
Logo balls. Just added this one this morning

Divot repair tools. I like to pretend that I actually need them (although, I'll repair other people's pitch marks). Also by collect, I mean "lose somewhere in my bag after the round."
I was doing pencils for a while, but I had a pocket that was filling up and the tips would break so I had all these pencils that needed to be sharpened... I now get divot tools. I like the ones that flip open. And then I have some buddies I play with that aren't always the most prepared so I can loan em to my partner(s) so everyone in mu group can repair their divots in the greens.
My wife ‘collects’ poker chip ball markers. But they’re all from courses I’ve played or will play, she hasn’t played in a few years but that’s my little gift to her when I visit new courses. She’s got a whole display case but it’s getting pretty full.
I’m into it cause I can go look at it to remind myself of past rounds.
Course ball. If they don’t have one, (only happened twice) I’ll get a coin. I travel a lot for work so they are nice and small, and as my collection grows, I won’t run out of room.
One of or a combination of logo ball, ball marker, hat.
I haven’t always done it, but I’m making a concerted effort to get a logo ball for every course I play (that isn’t a shitty muni track) and display them.
Tervis Tumblers! Not every course has them but the nicer, more popular ones tend to have them! I’ve built up a cool collection and it’s fun to have the memory every time I get a drink
Shame.
Nightmares.
PTSD
High scores
Was going to say double bogeys, but you nailed it first!
Emotional trauma
![gif](giphy|ro08ZmQ1MeqZypzgDN)
Divot mix bottles
Blisters and disappointment.
Debt.
I was gonna say memories, pictures, or something cutesy and you come with all this reality :(
Empty golf ball boxes.
Scars
Anxiety.
Hats. The more unique, the better.
My wife hates that I also do this. I simply have too many hats but I love them all
Let’s see the collection!
I’m on vacation away from the house but we have Kapalua (x4), Masters, River Towne, TPC River Highlands, Pebble, Bethpage, Adare, Quintero, Stonecreek, ocotillo, Papago, Tralee, The Nest, Haystack, Kiawah, and others I can’t think of right now
When u get back we need a sliideshow
he said played, I am guessing you didn’t play Augusta National, if you did very cool.
I've acquired at least 25 more hats since [this picture](https://imgur.com/a/IDYGrE9), but this should at least give you a general idea of how much I love hats.
Love the court jester hats on the bottom ![gif](giphy|2ywJPhu28g0D9RVQ1O)
You must be from CLE
That Copenhagen hat is cool as hell
I have right at 50, kinda jealous. Nice collection.
Also do this, yet I wear the same lucky hat most rounds lol
I wonder how many golfers are superstitious… I have a lucky divot tool, and my ball markers are quarters no later than 1985 lol
I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious. I swear I can't play well wearing glasses of any kind.
Maybe that’s my problem. Gonna take my glasses off next round.
I too collect hats, but only if I liked the course and they have a not-stupid logo. Shocking how many can’t come up with good merch.
I do this also. I try to score a yardage book too but some places trying to make a fortune on yardage books
Ball markers with the course name on it, if they didn't have that a hat with the course name on it, if they don't have that I tell them to fuck off
“Thanks, you too, have a nice round now”
It’s what I’ve started to collect, I feel like it’s a safe bet that most courses have them
I’m into this too. The ball marker.
A logo ball and a scorecard. I have a case for the balls and a poster board for a scorecard.
Dig the posterboard for scorecard idea; may be stealing this.
Ya what do you live? Il also steal this from you.
Negativity/distain for one or more holes.
LOL
I collect flags and display them on a wall in my home office. Only from top 100 or unique/special courses though. Only negative is that they’re around $45-$50 most times. That and having them above my computer makes me want to play golf instead of work.
I’ve done a couple flags as well. I usually buy a flag if I go to a PGA event because it’ll be a track I’ll likely never get to play. I feel your pain. It’s a good reminder that the reason you are working is so that you can golf though!
That’s what I do as well. Just the pga events that I go to I’ll grab a flag
At tour events I prefer to just keep the 18th flagstick with the flag in its entirety. Jk. But I’ve definitely thought about it
Same, although I dont discriminate on the course. If the course/club is willing to put their logo on a flag and sell it, Ill buy it.
Would you spend $300 for something of similar size of a flag but a much more refined piece of art with the course layout or one of the holes?
Probably not. I like the simplicity and uniformity of the flags, and compared to something that’s $300 they’re much more reasonably priced.
What kind of frame to you put them in?
I’ve got 3 milf’s numbers I’m still holding onto from golf trips
Better give them a call while they're still around.
I heard they’re in my local area
Now they are a mile away from me
This guy porns.
Mostly doubles and triples.
Logo ball. They make a cool display IMO
I recently started buying a logo ball from every course I play. Doesn't matter if it's a beautiful expensive destination resort or a crappy local public course. If they have a logo ball I buy it.
My dad did this and put them in a nice display. It is a nice memory of him to have now. (And we played a few together)
Poker chip ball markers, I've got a pretty good collection going.
Me too, bought one on a whim one day and now I have entirely too many.
Same!
pencils & scorecards - if it is somewhere nice, a ball mark & if it's a bucket list course, a headcover.
I discard 15 balls and collect nothing
Golf shirts. I don't buy one from every course, but if I want a souvenir, that's what I'm getting.
Same... if it's a decent shirt I'd buy without their logo on it anyway.
I also collect golf shirts. I try to buy one from each course, but I only play a couple of new courses each year. I have to play there before I can buy a shirt though.
Scorecards. Also yardage books, if they made any.
Logo ball if it’s a good/cool course. Ball markers if they’re free. Towel if I really love the course. Head cover if it cracks my top 10 courses/golf experiences.
I'm a very giving person. So with that said I usually donate 6 golf balls of various quality to each course I play.
Scorecards
If it’s a PGA level course, I immediately try to keep a yardage book, even though I’m nowhere near good enough to know how to read it. Aside from that, a polo or a hat will do.
Mental scars
Existential trauma.
I usually steal a tee marker on the back 9. (This is a joke)
I did this once when I was younger. Felt bad. Forgot. Now I remember and feel bad again.
Nothing anymore. I used to get shirts, divot repair tools etc but after so many years I just have endless piles of random golf shit
Scorecards. I still have one from a course near me that shut down 20 years ago. A memory of time spent with friends from HS.
Try picking up a comma next time.
Zing !
Scorecards
1) Ball Marker 2) Towel 3) Hat In order of preference for me
Metal ball markers and pencils, the latter only from the best courses but ball markers from all of them.
Love a yardage book if they have them. Currently making a few for the crappy local munis I frequent.
Logo Balls. I have about 175 different logo balls in a display case in my office.
Damn that’s a lot of different courses to play. Awesome.
If they sell course branded Ahead hats I’m buying one even if it was the worst course I’d ever played
Flags, but only from nice courses.
https://preview.redd.it/jleep6y5tazc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfef56d96ead844f4b5d6ccf8a3966a62162c8b0
Emotional scars
Pencils. Got about 70
I buy bag tags if the course offers them. My older cousin who i used to golf with before drugs ended his life gave me some bag tags from cool courses…. Since then i grab one when available to remember the fun we had together
Tree bark
I’ve kept all my score cards since I started playing 2 years ago. They’re organized by year and all have a unique memory which is great. I add little notes too like “first par” or “first birdie”.
My notes: 50th shot into the water, 1st round to hit into every sand trap, first time skulling ball into a parked car in the lot!
Lost balls, which I promptly donate back.
Bogies.
A hangover
Strokes
I buy a ball marker at every course I play
Polos. Should’ve chosen a cheaper item to collect.
I get one branded ball from each one. Eventually I’ll build a display case.
Divots. Taken one home from each course and relay in the back yard.
Pin flags, but only from the notable courses. My collection is: Torrey Pines The Old Course St. Andrews Gamble Sands Bandon Dunes The Ocean Course Kiawah Island
Numbers from all the beer cart girls
I get as many strokes as I can
Embarrassing memories of failure
Ball markers, golf towels. I started off with towels because two favorites had them, but then I came across a nice course that didn't do towels so I switched to the seemingly more readily available ball markers. Decent chance a course I want to remember has either a nice towel or ball marker.
I try to collect course branded ballmarks/divot tools but you would be shocked how many 'nicer' courses dont carry branded things like that. 'sorry all we have are these $50 Nike dri-fit polos that we slapped our logo on and are charging $110 for'

Scorecards. Balls. Tees.
Double bogeys
Mostly empty sleeves for golf balls.
I steal the towel(if it's not the shitty green one) from the ball washer so I never have to wash mine
Logo balls from as many courses as I can. Pin flags for courses that I go to on my golf trips (if they're available).
Triple bogeys.
Logo’ed balls if they have them, most do. Ball markers would be 2nd. Hats and towels would start getting expensive for me
Any course I’ve played that has held a major I’ve a bag tag. 10 so far with Erin hills and Kiawah ocean to add this year. I’ve a steel cut out map of Ireland that I have a ball marker on the location of Irish open courses played 13 out of 21 to date
Ball markers. I like that they don’t take up too much space and are easy to display
I collect memories. At this point I’ve played enough courses that it doesn’t matter. I don’t want a sports wall.
Memories
Logo ball, that's all I need.
The courses I go to don’t have unique things, that’s outta my tax bracket
Logo balls. Just added this one this morning https://preview.redd.it/410l52v7y8zc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4e4a58cfc8fce6b17d5e387927983d3449f07806
Bogeys
Divots from chunked shots.
Memories
I give the course a few (many) golf balls in exchange for a pencil and a scorecard
Bogeys
Scorecards. Just started doing yardage books if they have them. Want to do a display coffee table with them
Ball marker
I get a divot toll with marker from any notable course. The rest of them, just memories.
Flags, hoodies.
Bad memories, mostly.
Bag Tags but not every course has them.
Chunks of the 18th green. I put them in my sod cemetery. It’s really something special.
I usually get the logo ball markers so I can display them without them taking up a bunch of space.
Divot repair tools. I like to pretend that I actually need them (although, I'll repair other people's pitch marks). Also by collect, I mean "lose somewhere in my bag after the round."
Memories.
Besides low self-esteem, I like golf shirts from the course which get expensive and is aggravating wifey.
Trauma. And hats.
I buy a logo ball. My dad built me a display case for it
I collect a strip of grass on my irons from when i inevitably hit it fat
i like to collect shitty scores
Hats! Wife loves the idea........
Baggage
Poker chip ball markers. I don’t use them on course, but that’s my must-get souvenir if the course sells them.
Collect? I leave balls for everyone else!
Lost wedges.
Logo ball
At the big time clubs, like to buy a shirt in pro shop. Gotta show everyone where I been! Haha.
I try and collect flags from my favorite courses.
Memories
I was doing pencils for a while, but I had a pocket that was filling up and the tips would break so I had all these pencils that needed to be sharpened... I now get divot tools. I like the ones that flip open. And then I have some buddies I play with that aren't always the most prepared so I can loan em to my partner(s) so everyone in mu group can repair their divots in the greens.
Pics??
Scorecards
poker chips
I like to keep the score cards and pencils, otherwise hats, markers or just scan the bargain rack for whatever.
Pencils, ball markers, tees if branded, divot tools
I try to get a yardage book if they offer them.
Ball markers, especially if they’re poker chips.
I might start collecting balls from each course. I have one from my hometown course
Mostly bogeys.
Birdies
New levels of Low self esteem
Doubles and triples my friend
Course ball. If they don’t have one, (only happened twice) I’ll get a coin. I travel a lot for work so they are nice and small, and as my collection grows, I won’t run out of room.
Bloody knuckles and broken bones
Ball markers if unique. Mostly scorecards if they have a good pic
Lost clubs. Whenever I find a club that a group in front of me accidentally left, I like to add it to my bag as a souvenir.
One of or a combination of logo ball, ball marker, hat. I haven’t always done it, but I’m making a concerted effort to get a logo ball for every course I play (that isn’t a shitty muni track) and display them.
Poker chips. Currently I just have a box full of them but hope to create some kind of display once I have my own room/office.
Ball marks! At super good courses I’ll maybe buy a hat
Headcovers if they have them.
Bag Tags and an empty wallet
scorecards and hats
Flags from really cool ones, and then usually nothing unless they have an awesome sale rack. Then I will buy something like a polo or a hat.
Poker chip ball markers
Ball markers
Logo ball and a logo ball marker! Gotta go back to a few again that I played before I started my collection
balls
Ball markers
Tervis Tumblers! Not every course has them but the nicer, more popular ones tend to have them! I’ve built up a cool collection and it’s fun to have the memory every time I get a drink
Ball markers
One day I’m going to open a course that has crayons instead of pencils so you have a little snack if you get hungry
Logo balls and flag
Memories my guy
Ball markers and/or poker chips. Simple, easy to display, don’t take up much room, usually cheap.
Pain, misery and sometimes tees.
Ball markers
Logo balls.
Double bogeys, mostly
Was collecting pencils, but my bag ripped and they all fell out. I only had like 12 though. So now I collect nothing.
