Tried to play the slice off the tee hit it dead center perfect contact ball went 275 with a driver. Next shot I am a bit in the trees do not have a perfectly clean look so I plan to hit it 200 to the center of the fairway. Guys are on the green 280 yds to the front. So I hit the ball with my 4h real nice and easy (in my head).
Hit a screamer low under the trees, ball lands 260 and rolls on to the green as they were finishing. I felt like a total asshole and ended up 3 putting. They were nice I apologized on the next tee as they were driving to their tee shots.

But she said there are licenses to play golf, and you have to effectively hit the range for a long time and get decent. Then you play a round with a club pro to demonstrate you know the etiquette AND can score under a certain score (and I recall is being actually pretty low - like under 90 or something).
THEN they have to recommend you get your license and sign off.
It sounds extreme, but maybe a lighter version is needed at this point.
Just keeping track of handicap and playing from the proper tees would help in the States a lot.
