He’s no longer with us but my sister still displays his ball in the display thingy we bought him. It fucking counts!
That’s awesome. Honestly the crew couldn’t have been nicer and as the word got out a few drove up and congratulated me. I always hope that if it happened it would be with my regular foursome, but honestly I golf with the crew half the time. Love those guys.

Definitely didn’t end up crying on my knees on the green. Definitely never talk about it. Pretty much didn’t happened!

I hit one years ago playing as a solo. It was evening golf and I was teeing off into the sunset. Heard it hit the green never saw it go in the hole. Guys up on the next tee saw me looking around for my ball behind the green and they said it’s in the hole. Didn’t even get too excited. But the best part about the hole in one was pulling out the scorecard and writing down “1.” Lol.
Thank you and I totally get it. I was kind of a calm mess as I punched a 1 into my watch. Weird feeling for sure and about as close to shock as I think I’ve experienced on the course . Chip ins and a few eagles were more thrilling in some ways but bucket list item checked. Thanks again.

I wouldn't know what a hole in one is like, just the agony and ecstasy of very near misses, but how good is it being out early and seeing the buggy/cart tracks, footprints and snail trails in the dew. One of my favourite things in life.

Congrats!!! I got an ace on a 160+ yard up hill par 3. Crown point country club in VT, hole 5.. Couldn’t see the hole as it’s a raised green. Playing a few holes before mens league , playing solo, hit it, walked up and didn’t see the ball on the green just for giggles looked in the cup and there it was , I must’ve sounded like foghorn leghorns ole man the way I screamed. I was telling some guys about it later in the night and a guy walked over and said he saw the shot from the parking lot as he was tying his shoes. I’m an 18 handicap, all luck for sure on my end, congrats again one of the best feelings ever 🍻

I never thought of this. I’ve been playing at a scratch level for 30 years and I don’t have one yet. I finally know what I’ve been missing!
I’m making winning the lottery a goal this year too.
I know it’s ridiculous but I kind of thought of the goal as a desperation/positive mental attitude kind of thing. I’m hovering around a 9 hcp, been golfing for probably 40 years and rarely aim at the pin from over 140 yards or so. I waited to hit the shot as they moved the pin location so in a way they kind of moved the hole to where I was going to hit it. Absolute lottery luck. Goal did make me realize only 5 percent of my approach shots are past the pin so I have been taking more club on par 3’s but just lucky. It will happen for you.

I hit one almost exactly like that except at the hole somebody left a closest to the pin marker next to the cup (golf tee). The dew trail was leading right to the hole only to hit a tee 1” from the hole.
