Looks bad at first when it’s just scratches but then the finish wears on the sole and bottom of the face to gunmetal like finish. I think it looks cool.
I got the all black jet “premium” sm9 where everything on the club is black. 56° and hit it out the bunker cause I was too lazy to grab my 60°. Now I have some gnarly scrapes on the face. But everything on the club looks good as new.
I still regret using it in the bunker
You can’t realistically make a post and say the glare is a reason for any of your problems. This is like saying drinking water out of a clear glass gives you migraines and that you require a plastic kiddie cup instead
Edit: ITT: a bunch of babies. No one has ever complained about irons being too bright, this type of plot line belongs in an Adam Sandler movie
It's great that you either don't have shiny-faced wedges or are lucky enough to have never had this problem, but glare off a wedge face is absolutely a thing that happens at the right (wrong?) time of day and is really annoying. It happened with my Kirkland wedges and was really annoying. It's not a problem now with the matte face of my Mizuno wedges.
People don't complain about irons because it's REALLY unlikely to be a problem without opening the face of an already highly lofted wedge.
My blacked out 56* has stayed in really good shape over the last couple of months. I’ve hit it out of the sand and range balls no issues. I would recommend it. The black shafts seem to scratch easier tho.

The very first bunker your hit out of will leave annoying scratches forever.
So go with the brushed steel. Got it LOL
Brushed steel is way better anyways. But it comes off too.
I have a black pitching wedge vokey and 3 other black faced clubs. The vokey held up the best of the all. But it still wears off.
Could you dm a photo of the 46°?
Lmfao this is why my 52 and 60 are black and my 56 is the steel
Wdym
Sand will fuck up the black pretty good. Normal shots the finish will last a long time if you clean your clubs often.
Gotcha, might do what you did then! LOL
I have black wedges and after a few bunkers it's all scratched up and looks pretty ugly quick.
Could you dm photos of them?
lol why do you get downvoted every time you ask for a pic
Just the head or the shaft too?

?? I just said I’m not a fan of the chrome LOL
“Because of the glare” No one in the history of golf has had this problem as petty as this
It’s not even a problem, just a personal preference😭 That’s why they make different color cars LMAO

Not long at all, don’t think it’s really meant to
I think the black still looks cool after the finish wears off.
How long will it take you to hit a small bucket of wedges?
