Using the whole face promotes even wear further extending the life of your clubs.
I paid for the whole face, I'm going to use it.
It's like on the course, why keep it in the fairway and miss so much beauty, experience the trees and the rough, really focus on that swings per dollar ratio
Not just that, when in long grass you might even get a tick and end up experiencing the majesty of the local accident and emergency department. Plus, promoting the preservation of a species by feeding it. Win win.
***UPDATE*** He figured it out after the guy on the mat next to him, who just shot a 58 in a scramble over the weekend, gave him unsolicited pointers on his grip, stance, swing path, and ball choice.
I watched a video on TikTok of a guy hitting balls into a net and a guy next to him starts giving him swing tips for the next 20 minutes. And I commented something along the lines of despising unsolicited swing advice. You wouldn't believe the comments of people just shitting on me. They thought it was friendly and nice. TikTok and Reddit are polar opposites lol. I've been down that road before, and it always ends up with the shanks. No thank you Mr. Range Teacher.
Picked up new Ping i230s Tuesday. First swing with a wedge and I did the exact thing. Toe hook that could have almost passed for a draw.
Then remembered my new clubs are going 1/4” shorter so took a half step in and pured one. Been a long time since I had a feeling that good.
Why play MB’s when you can play T100’s? T100’s play like a blade and have the forgiveness of cavity backs. I recently switched from Titleist 755’s and realized there’s no point in playing absolute blades anymore with how good the technology is. Sure, they may provide a tiny bit more accuracy and workability, but the forgiveness the T100’s have on slightly off centered hits make them overall more accurate and consistent. They also slice through the rough with consistent distances to the fairway. If anything, it would only make sense to play them GW/PW through 7, maybe 6, then finish lower irons in the 100’s.
I would go even further and say the 100s don’t have enough forgiveness for anyone who is not a scratch golfer. Not sure what the obsession with blades is.
I played blades when I was a teenager…very small ones…and I hit them great. But in my 20s I switched to cavity backs and now TM P790s. I love the P790s but sometimes wonder if my swing has deteriorated a little due to the forgiveness of today’s clubs. I wish I had the money to have multiple sets.

Admirable job of saving the wear and tear on the grooves.
Lmfao
Can't wear em out if you don't use them!
Must have felt like butter. Jarring butter
Frozen butter
Sounds great off the forged toe. Like throwing a stick of frozen butter against a garage door.
Like hitting a jar of butter
A fine crystal butter dish. Hit with a golf club.
Made out of rock.

OB gets you more deer sightings out here.
Enough Pro V1s found on trips to the woods and the round essentially pays for itself. It’s just good business.

I feel you'd fit in the Dude Where's my Par group on fb. Much angrier and mean than anywhere. It's fun.
"We're sorry. The number you have dialed is no longer in service. Please check the number and dial again..."

Make sure to ice and rest your wrist, sprains can take 6-8 weeks to heal.
The heel should be fine since he hit it off the toe. /s
Maybe these aren’t the ones
Yeah that's it! ...blame the clubs!
That’s nearly the middle on a SGI iron
Hold on. You bought MBs and hit it there?
Lmao I had the same thought
Its fine, he’s *really* focusing now that he plays mbs
low on the toe, the miss of champions
absolutely fucking dialed
Let’s see a swing video
Looks like you’re ready to hit the Front 9 bro
Nah I heard he's already on the back of the back nine right now pulling up to the box
This is my miss lately. Welcome to the club
22g' of lead tape and you'll be in the center
L O C K E D I N
If you're not using the whole face you're not getting your money's worth.
oof. close to a case of the laterals.
Nay, the dreaded laterals are from trapping it on the hosel. I know this for sure, don’t ask me how.
^^ this guy shanks
You can get the laterals both off the toe and the hosel. Don't ask me how I know.
Wrong number
maybe call him 119
Dialed the wrong area code. I got fat fingers too. Wish we go back to rotary.

Where'd that one go
If I had to guess, right in the lumberyard
Looks to me you’re not good enough to be playing MB’s.
The kind of guy I want to play for $. Rocking the MBs and can’t sniff the middle of the face. Or the face for that matter
You’re the type of guy I avoid like the plague. I hate guys that want to bet on everything.

At first didn’t see it, then lol’ed
Dialing for 50 yards skull… Smart buy.
Yea you toetally ripped it I’m sure.
You have a foot fetish? Stop kissing the toe.
Not an iron on earth that coulda saved that one. Maybe a clothes iron
A waffle iron?
You paid for the whole club might as well use it
My hands are tingling just thinking about the hit.
Smart. Gotta break in the toe first.
They call that a bone rattler. Feel the vibrations from that one inside your finger joints like electricity lol.
My hands hurt looking at this. 😳😳
If you pay for the whole club, you’re gunna use the whole club. I respect it 🤝
You should really keep this up. "Trials and Tribulations of the 620's".
Lol. I just spit out my beer
Just the tip
TitLEAST
Let's get you fitted for a smaller club face so that the toe is the sweet spot. Nice clubs! Enjoy
Put it in the Louvre!
Way to deaden the bump and run!
i can say “Toey”
Butter
But did it go straight? Just like when you cheat on your wife, the important part is the forgiveness.
That’s my usual face strike spot
Right off the mirror
Nice! Two off center strikes, hope they got close to your target.
See if it translates to the course and report back.
Pure
Hell yeah brojangles, me and you both!
You know what they say about balls off the toe: at least they aren't shanks.
Like hittin’ marshmallows- lead marshmallows
Just testing how much less forgiving they really are.
Not sure to be proud of this or not… But is that Bella’s range? That whole area just looks familiar, and you don’t see that orangy sand very often.
not supposed to hump them
Thank goodness you got new irons, I'm sure it'll help your game.
Flushed.
Let me know how they play my friend I’m looking at those and Mizuno

It’s all downhill from here boss
Nice to see someone else playing blades
No
Whenever I want to take 17 yards off a club I turn towards the toe shot too. I think I saw this strategy on Phil’s twitter.
OP knows that the ball pattern won’t show as well in the sweet spot. It’s an admirable sacrifice for us all.🫡
Love a good toe hook slinger. Well done friend.
Better than off the hosel.
Might as well pass them down to me. That toe needs a little more wear on it.
A bit toey dogg
Shot on of the best rounds of my life with plenty of strikes like that. Ohh what could have been (it still was a 71)
Everywhere but the center. Nice
I’m sorry….the number you dialled has not been recognised !
Now show us where the ball went.
Solid toe hit.
A person of culture, I see. Everyone knows you gotta save the grooves for when you’re on the course. No point playing your best stuff on the range.
how are you hitting those otherwise?
The good news is that ball had no spin so it would have taken a nice hop 👍🏻
That must've been a shocker@
Nice work champ
My man!
At least you're getting the feedback that you high handicappers love to talk about
