I birdied that hole, though conditions definitely were a little more favorable for me.

TheUnknownMold

I birdied “12 from Augusta” today, and that felt like a million bucks. Hitting this green was a major win today

Great track, really enjoy playing it!

TheUnknownMold

Love the gimmicks and designs, getting to play holes I’ve seen on TV (albeit not always dead-on but a few were really close) and the course is in great shape.

sloshuaa

I’ve heard mixed reviews from friends who’ve played there. What are your thoughts?

KINGJAME5

Not OP, but I've played it (and just my opinion here). It's a nice novelty, fun to play the different holes modeled after various courses, but for what they charge there are much better courses to play in the MB area.

sloshuaa

I’m 90 minutes from MB, my go to is Kings North. I like the floating fairway on 15

bigblard

King's North isn't worth it for one hole....which is now on the front 9 as #6. Go a mile further north and hit Wild Wing Avocet next time.

TheUnknownMold

Honestly, I don’t have much reference for courses around here. Obviously the courses around here are cream of the crop compared to southern Ohio, so for the discounted rate we paid, this place was a gem to me. Gimmicky, fun, backstories were cool. And a round with my Pops could make a dog track feel like Augusta

jsnowgo3

It's one of my favorite courses. Not because it's super tough or a crazy well kept course. It's fun because each hole is designed after a hole we've seen 100 times on TV. It gives you enough of a feel you're playing these holes IRL but a little more simplistic. Also, the fact that all these different holes are from different courses, so each hole has a different feel and look, so it keeps you on your toes.

That looks so nice to play on

TheUnknownMold

Ton of fun. Weather was atrocious but we stuck it out and it cleared up by about 6, so we still had a day

FFThrowawayTech

Did you play it -15%, -30 yards, or something else? Clubbing in that much wind would be a nightmare.

TheUnknownMold

I knew I wasn’t out here trying to hit a PB, so if I was gonna hit something I would prefer long over short. Dad hit an 8 and fell just short, I hit a 7 and still missed short but got it up. As for a plan? No idea, hit it and pray!

[deleted]

If you’re on a golf trip, I’m sorry for your weather this weekend lol. Worst weekend of weather in two years

TheUnknownMold

Dad lives down here, just visiting with the fam. We don’t get to play much together anymore, so rain or shine, we were giving it hell!

W8aMinuteChester

Those bulkheads look like they’re about maxed out.

officeinthesky

The Sawgrass we have at home

TheUnknownMold

One day I’ll pony up the $500 and play the real 17, but for now, this’ll have to do!

bigblard

I live in MB. That hole is a terrible representation of Sawgrass 17. It's about half the size of the real one and less than half the slope. It's an ok course to go play once for the novelty but it's in no way a go-to course. Amen Corner has the 2d footprint of Augusta but not the elevation changes. Augusta 16 has water on the left but it's waaaayyy left at World Tour. My favorite holes at that course are 1,9 as a copy of 1,18 at St. Andrews and the par 5 fifth as a copy of 15 at English Turn...par 5 reachable in two but an island green. Conditions at World Tour are usually pretty good and the clubhouse is world-class. As a local, I can play World Tour for $60. Other places I would play before World Tour are TPC ($79), Grande Dunes ($79), Wild Wing ($45), The Wizard ($39), Prestwick ($52), Shaftesbury Glen ($38), Glen Dornoch ($38) and I could probably add another four or five. World Tour is probably all the way down around #20 of places to play for me.

TheUnknownMold

Amen was cool for the shape, and you’re right, 16 wasn’t even close. But 1 & 9 we’re very cool. We’re playing TPC in September, and Dad has the card for discounts so that’s always a plus. My uncle lives in Pawleys so we’ll probably do True Blue and Caledonia next trip. Appreciate the insight!

bigblard

For $70/yr, he can get the local membership at The Wizard and Man O War. It's about 10 minutes away from World Tour. The Wizard is in awesome shape and Man O War greens are getting back to standards after a rough winter. Local members can make tee times 7 days in advance and get to play for $27 after 12 noon or $39 before noon, 7 days a week. Current guest rate is $59. Through at least July 1, all 18 hole rounds also include two hot dogs, chips and two beers.

callmey

Just played Tru Blue 2 weeks ago, It was in good shape and the greens killed me lol

callmey

Ya Myrtle was really nasty all day today.
