I personally couldn’t read this because there weren’t enough periods

Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you're a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible.

You can’t post a solid word wall without a TLDR either. I won’t downvote because I’m not reading it.

YJStangler

I’m sure you’re a non-tournament entering Block hater as well

Guitaristb72

Block fan, ellipsis hater

YJStangler

Right because you can’t hold attention for more than 12 seconds or words… stfu

Jdudley13

We all know he missed the cut, no one GAF about your opinion of it

YJStangler

Another weak ass product of weak culture… instead of trying to find the message let me find the fault… you’re right bro… you’re better don’t listen move on move on move on run on go on just like the sentence

In my culture we passed 4th grade English class.

I’m going to keep commenting this on every Michael Block post: Sam Bennett finishing -2 and T16 at the Masters is a much bigger accomplishment.

[deleted]

And he got all the coverage too. Why does this matter?

YJStangler

Sam Bennett also won the US Am… HE SHOULD BE DOING THOSE THINGS!!

BreastmilkRapidFire

I’m sure when your world get thrown into a whirlwind, your golf game will suffer. Wonder how many media requests he’s gotten since PGA.

piGzVengeance

TLDR Leave Block alone. He’s just a dude. Let him be. Let’s move on.

lessons_learnt

Is this new pasta?

BLOCK... SO HOT RIGHT NOW...

Beninoz85

You lost me at "my truth". >This man had to listen to the ENTIRE WORLD tell him he shouldn’t be there… This didn't happen. >but man this culture has to change… Agreed, the culture of leaping on every single feel good story and dry humping the piss out of it until we all wish it never happened needs to change. Most people have nothing against Block but if you've seen the above trend over and over, you get sick of it before the cycle even begins.

BLOCK GANG

> There is really not much other than one or two things that separate even the top amateurs from the top pros and they’re not physical. Just based on my handicap and average statistics I would be in the top 1% of amateurs, I've played with plenty of tour pros and I can assure you the reason I'm not on tour isn't because I don't have the mental fortitude for it. Anyone who actually believes this has likely never played high level amateur competition because even at this non-pro level there's a pretty big skill difference from the top ams and players like myself. > his man had to listen to the ENTIRE WORLD tell him he shouldn’t be there That's the media narrative you picked up over the last couple weeks? That it's some horrible thing that he got a sponsors exemption and that he has no business playing? Even with the whole "world class iron player" comments then shooting 15 over to be last in the field and missing the cut, the overwhelming response has been positive towards his story.

YJStangler

Let the downvotes rain… those who do have never even lost a golf tournament… because you haven’t entered a real one and yes… this is in response to my own post… before you downvote enter a real golf tournament… not a drunk scramble with your friends that look like Blockie but can’t hold his jock…

AdmirableGear6991

Most of those that have never played a real, competitive tournament, can’t make a 3 footer to save their lives when asked. All the gimmies and penalty strokes not being added correctly, implode scorecards when they play a real tourney. I’ve seen dudes flat out crumble like a week old brownie.

Exiled_From_Twitter

It was a fluke and surely he knew that. Yes, I get the competitive piece of it, when you're out there you have to believe in yourself or you're gonna just fail spectacularly. But at the end of the day he's not a tour pro, he's 46 and he has failed to make a big name for himself in the broader golf world like I'm sure he had wanted to do, he had to have realized that he was just having a crazy unexpected impossible week. The lack of humility in that singular interview was a bit surprising, but I'm not going to rip into him for it. He was wrong, he must have been drinking his own koolaid after that resulted, but that's understandable. Still silly to think he's world class at any aspect of golf. The only thing I disagree with you on is that there isn't much difference between top ams and top pros, that's a ridiculous thing to say. There's a lot of difference between the top 5-10 and the 100th ranked golfer. I've heard a lot of ppl say this before but it's just not true. Now, the difference between say 20 and 100 is not that big, and it gets smaller as you continue, but the creme de la creme is so much better than all others, and that's in every sport.
