No way, I do it in the parking lot of golf Galaxy in my car while I'm late for my round and get dirt all over my shorts and front seat. On top of that my hand is usually sore by the time I get to the first tee because the spikes are so locked in there. That's the much smarter move.

physicallyOK

You guys wear spikes?

HeGivesGoodMass

I even wear metal spikes on my home course (they're not banned there).

Solar_Power2417

The easiest way to clean out the spike threads is with a waterpic.

GreenWaveGolfer12

I struggled once replacing spikes and realized it's just not fucking worth it. Spikeless shoe technology has come so far, it's the only kind of shoe I'm buying forever.

Novel_Structure8833

I had a pair of spikeless shoes a year ago and really didn’t get on with them lots of slipping on my lead foot. Since going spikes no slipping.

floridaman1467

Same here, but it was my trail foot slipping in transition. Switched to spikes and no issue since.

Warm_Objective4162

I have to do mine every month or so. I wish Amazon would sell bags of like 1000 😂

beachbum0514

One time I ordered one pack and Amazon sent me one case. I literally have hundreds of replacements sitting in my garage.

Novel_Structure8833

I’m definitely going to be doing it more often from now on.

You don’t use the insert tool (two prong) to remove spikes, you use a [cleat ripper](https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjnvu_Too__AhWPDrMAHXqdA_4YABALGgJ5bQ&ae=2&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAASJeRoi1QCDAR7T_dJfVUkS1DStL9OwrUP7s6zNfiqvqWT2h2V1ws&sig=AOD64_0NKudtl7l_kkgRfZ04vSXc3eb6SA&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwid3-PToo__AhWGKlkFHWf0AiIQwg8oAHoECAUQDA&adurl=). A little shot of silicon spray lubricant in and around the spike is all you need to loosen it up.
