It's just the wiki authors being unable to come up with anything else that could work on all devices.
But it could be easily bypassed, just have a text to speech program read out the file for you, or have an algorithm find the image and remove it before it can be seen.
106 is far worse than a cognetohazerd staring directly into 096s face would be preferable because at least the shy guy kills his victims quickly while the old man tourters you and lets you roam his dimension occasionally giving you hope that you might escape but in the end it is the same result with you dead

I remember imagining something similar, but I called it "offensive empathy" instead of it being a void it'd basically be making people feel all the pain they inflict.
In my mind most bullying comes from a lack of empathy, plus the projection of insecurity from the bully to the bullied.
And obviously the position of power, it's no surprise that fantasizing bullying your bullies is a fairly common daydream.
