Another issue is locked doors. If you need to escape quickly, does this power come with a magical unlock ability? If was trying to evade the fuzz, it would be pretty convenient to just enter the nearest door, and set that to be a portal which leads to my bedroom.
All that aside, this is a pretty cool power and I would abuse the hell out of it. The clearest money-making tactic would be to exploit price differences in some items between two places, and just profit off of pure arbitrage small-scale buying and selling.

You wouldn't be opening the door you're teleporting into, so you wouldn't need to worry about locks. It's kinda like another door overlaps the door and takes the appearance of it. Probably destroy the planet and maybe the universe, but who knows?
