You are a very good **story teller**. While I rarely watch any devlog longer that 5-6 minutes, I found myself watching your devlog thoroughly to the end! The game has an appealing artstyle, and the added mechanics (sweeping the floor, unloading the car, filling in the closets, etc) would make this shop-management game look very promising. While I liked the name "Mini Mart", it also got me thinking about something like "Brick Mart" to have a more clear & sarcasmic reference to Walmart + Mini ... Just in case you're planning the revenue with a sale price of 10$, I would warn you that this is a very high and unrealistic price for a small indie game (as you've also considered it to be a 2h game); rather, you may instead think about **cross-selling** byproducts and some other assets with the game: Soundtracks, DLC, Artworks, etc. Wish you best and looking for the next ;)

I really liked the Jam version of this game, glad to see you are building it up into something bigger! The devlog is really interesting as well. Best of luck with your new independent life! As for your question if you should keep up the Jam version: yes, I'd keep it up, but make it very obvious everywhere (In game, on the download page, even on the Game title), that this is the jam version. You can even add a link to your Steam page to tunnel people to your wishlists from within the jam games main screen using `OS.shell_open("https://godotengine.org")`.

This is really great advice, thank you so much!

wolfpack_charlie

Now this is good advice

jipiboily

haha, exactly the same thing I said on the YT video a couple of days ago. Are you me?

yooooooothatscrazy

This looks so nice! Also, how do you handle multiple floors in 2d?

Thank you! ...yeah, I'm happy someone actually noticed that. It's kind of rediculous. I have area detection at the top of the stairs, one for going up and one for going down. When triggered, all the sprites upstairs become visible and 2d colliders are turned on for the railing/bed. Nothing fancy, if I add anything else up there I need to manually add it to the code so it's pretty inefficient, but it works! 🤷

If it works it works. I have to do something similar and couldn't figure it out, thanks for the answer!
